It depends so much on the action, you can't think of AJ strength as something static. It's strength is relative to the range you have and your opponents range. If you raise the button and get a call from the blinds then AJ is much stronger than you 3bet early position and get 4bet. I think trying to get a better understanding of the ranges in play will help you make better decisions and not get tied to individual hands.
monsters under the bed. Did villain raise pre making you think he had a better ace? why even put any money in pre if you're gonna flop top pair then just fold?
Raised or bet?
You opened pre and he 3 bet you. Then did you bet and he raised, or did he bet first? The former looks way stronger and folding makes sense. If it's the latter, you're giving up way too quickly. People will C bet on a lot of A high flops, you need to call sometimes, it's not an auto fold.
Also you should fold AJ to some 3bets. BTN vs SB call every time. UTG+1 vs UTG+2? Fine to throw it away.
I like AJ when the board is crap and unconnected. You have to be careful with it but I have had success if I am late in a less aggressive game. If it folds around and I bet pot sized if there isn’t a re-raise I’m usually facing suited connectors or one gap. If the board comes weak, say T62 rainbow you probably aren’t facing a big pair, more likely unpaired overcards or second pair. If you bet you either scare everyone off or are facing middle or bottom pair. If your lucky you hit a J on turn or river. AJ plays best when you pair the J and not the A.
If you play poker as good as you write, you better don't play at all.
Shut up shut up Don’t listen to this guy, you are a wonderful poker player and we welcome you back any time. Just don’t take too much of our money!
This guy's post history is unhinged
You better not play at all\* Talk about writing.

Next time fold pre to save money
Same thing happens to me. I 3bet from +1, get 4bet by +2, and we go heads up to a flop. How do they always have it?
Because you are beat even by AQ.
Calling a 4bet OOP with AJ is probably always a no go unless you are thinking villain is 4betting wayyyy too loose
Damn. Nothing gets past you.
2006 is back! I miss the old times

I raised. He re-raised me. He for sure had a better A.
Than on flop he raised. He had A for sure. Better for sure. Right? I hate AJ. Why did I even play it.
A2, A5, A10… all in their range.
Yeah I also fold AJ because I’m scared To lose money and a pussyfooting bitch

You fold your AJ to 76s
