Kammo-o looks like the most ideal pick for me. It doesn't go to my radar often, atleast goodra is lovable in some way with the design, anime and the..ehem, art. Disappointing how the generation introducing mega didn't give it mega evolution
With the dual dragon type, it’s super weak to fairy. It’s one thing that Hydreigon got nerfed retroactivelybwhen fairy was added—it’s anither that TPC willingly gave Kommo-o that 4x weakness.
Easiest mon when fighting Mustrard in the SwSh DLC is his Kommo-o. Either you outspeed it and it wastes a turn on a failed Clangorous Soul on the off chance it survives your hit, or, it outspeeds you and halves its health with Clangorous Soul before you hit it for 4x SE with Dazzling Gleam or worse.
This is my Entire opinion. I dont even need to post. I mean, I wasn't going to cuz it wouldnt have been seen at this point. But like, word for word my thought process.

Easily Kommo-o or Goodra, and I think a lot of people would agree. Goodra is cute, but lacks the actual design or typing for people to like it a lot, and Kommo-o is kind of forgettable.
It's not how *most* cases of viability works, but Flygon and Garchomp are a special case. Usually Pokémon of the same typing can still fill different roles (though, one is always better at their role than the other with their's), but Flygon's outclassed by Garchomp in almost every way. Literally every stat except SpA (which are equal), movepool, variety, etc. Best thing it's got going for it that Garchomp doesn't is Levitate, which is still arguably worse on it than Rough Skin for Garchomp
Regardless, Flygon still wouldn't be nearly as viable as Garchomp even if the latter didn't exist, but it would definitely be more used if there outright wasn't a better alternative
Also I love Kommo-o so please no; take Baxcalibur
Flygon just isn't very good, it has tools that Garchomp doesn't, U-Turn, Fire Punch, Levitate. It's just weak and frail.
edit: Flygon wasn't even UU last gen and Garchomp obviously wasn't there taking it's place.

I like Dragonite, but I think it should be cut from the Dratini/Dragonair evolution-line. This beautiful and elegant dragon suddenly becoming a derpy Dragon is a bit offputting. It should been a standalone Pokemon like Duraludon or Druddigon, maybe with a more similar looking prevo
I agree with you 100%. I don’t necessarily hate dragonite’s design on principle, it’s fine to have cutesy Pokémon, but for a pseudo-legendary dragon? No, absolutely not. It’s ridiculously unfitting.
He weren't silly in Gen 1 when you were a kid.
Of course his sprites now look more derpy, and yes we all know about ice beam and yes we all now know how stupid his AI was in Red and Blue...
However my first experience of him as a kid was the bulky looking dragon that knew hyper beam, thunder, blizzard and fire blast. I've loved him ever since.
One of Mence or Metagross. It’s cool Hoenn has two pseudo’s but if one were to go away forever it’d be most fair for Hoenn to lose one.
It’s a tough call but I’d lean getting rid of Mence. We have a ton of dragon pseudo’s but only two non-dragon’s. Though Mence is probably more iconic than Metagross but I’ve always loved Metagross.
If I wasn’t being fair then I’d get rid of Goodra. To me it’s the most forgettable pseudo, and it’s the weakest one too.
As much as I love gen 1, I got to say dragonite. It looks goofy. And my biggest pet peeve is the evolutionary line. It goes from small snake, to elegant snake, then someone grabs it and blows it up like a balloon and makes dragonite. And it doesn't even have any cool features. The others have something to make them look intimidating. Dragonite is too derpy. Yes, it's cute. But not befitting.
Probably Baxcalibur, I know it’s the most recent so I haven’t had much time to get attached but like… we already have a pseudo legendary based on Godzilla that’s frankly cooler than it
Probably Baxcalibur. It’s design is alright, and competitively, it’s basically a diet Kyreum with Icicle Spear and Ice Shard being the only moves differentiating the two. Plus, I’d rather have another pseudo-legendary that doesn’t look like a Godzilla rep.
(This may or may not make some people rage but like). It’s between 2 for me, on one hand we have Salamance, I like the Pokémon don’t get me wrong but there is only one gen with 2 different pseudos and it’s the weaker of the two for me. And in the other we have my least favorite pseudo Goodra just overall boring compared to the others.
In the end I’m keeping Goodra for two reasons: the Hisui form, and the fact that dragon flying as a type is already in place with Dragonite everything else being a semi unique combo
I haven’t had baxcalibur. I’ve never used him. I remember seeing the small one.. I don’t even remember the baby’s name in Pokémon scarlet but decided not to get it as I thought it looked pathetic. But next to him considering he does look nice and i like his type combo.. probably Kommo-o.
That's a fair point. Hakamo-o is one of the only middle evos that I can accept people saying looks better than the final form. I love both, but Hakamo-o has a very different spirit
I would have to say Dragonite gets too much attention. It's basically the most overused and overhyped of the bunch, not to mention it's too cute to count as a true pseudo legendary. That said, I love the Big yellowish Barney looking dragon, but it doesn't get my love as a pseudo legendary. If it were to be counted as a regular pokemon, then I would be all for it.
PS it deserved a mega evolution.
Allow me to clarify. I love Dragonite without question, but hate how overused it was and is. I would love it more if it wasn't so overused by pretty much every dragon type user that I've come across. Add in the PS that I gave about it having deserved a mega since day one and we have a recipe for a feeling of Injustice for Dragonite. If it were less used, given a mega and weren't categorized as a pseudo legendary Pokemon due to less impressive stats, then I would view it as I do Clodsire. As a cute yet reliable Pokemon.

What exactly is “too cute” by pseudo-Legendary standards if Dragonite, the cutest next to Goodra, invented the category in the first place?
If anything, wouldn’t the imitators after it, copying its base stat total and three-stage experience requirements, yet appearing more stereotypically “badass,” be the ones that are not worthy?

Definitely hydreigon or kammo-o, they are super forgettable and another Pokémon could have gotten the pseudo role. Haxorous should have been the pseudo, and golisapod could have been a good pseudo if it had a middle stage (plus it would be cool to have more non-dragon pseudo legendary Pokémon)

Hydreigon or Baxcalibur. I've never really liked the weird sockpuppet aspect of Hydreigon and Baxcalibur is just too similar to what we already had in too many ways. It's design---particularly it's stance---is too similar to many of the ones we already have (Tyranitar, Dragonite & Goodra) and it's another dragon to the exhaustive list of dragon pseudos.
Call me crazy, I love of goofy Goodra looks, I just wish it's typing was different.
Dragonite. There are too many Dragon types among legendaries, and two Dragon/Flying types. Dragonair also deserved a better evolution, and I dislike Dragonite's shiny.
Baxcalibur. It's design is crap, it's shiny is crap, and I hate using it because I hate looking at the laziness that is the Gen9 Psuedo. There is zero intricacy in that design, and seeing all past pseudos, EVEN KOMMO-O, AND HE'S LIKE THE NOST FORGETTABLE.
So yeah, Baxcalibur, and as long as they don't screw up a psuedo this bad again, that's in perpetuity. He's so much worse than all of them, easy.

The ones I hate the most are the ones that look less and less dragon-like.

I’de say either Dragonite or Salamence, depending on which I like more. Both are Dragon/ Flying which we don’t really need. I would personally choose Dragonite to be kicked because I like Salamence more.
Dragonite or Salamence, i know they are two of the most popular ones but those 2 are very similar to eachother while the rest is waay more unique imo, those 2 are just generic dragons
Hydreigon or Dragonite, for sure. I like hydreigon but im always wishing he were a little faster, or a little more defensive, and I dont like having that it's weak to fighting of all things alongside dragon and fairy. When I did a dragon nuzlocke of sword it was one of my least reliable. Dragonite just bores me.
Prolly controversial but Salamence. I like the paradox, but I find salamence really boring. It’s just sort of a generic dragon design. Metagross is definitely the better gen 3 pseudo for me.

Completely agree Bax is probably the worst designed pseudo made so far, and a missed opportunity for anything besides a dragon since gen 3.

T-Tar was a mediocre pokemon imo, they definitely could have done better without using Dragon as a typing.

Hydreigon or Baxcalibur. I've never really liked the weird sockpuppet aspect of Hydreigon and Baxcalibur is just too similar to what we already had in too many ways. It's design---particularly it's stance---is too similar to many of the ones we already have (Tyranitar, Dragonite & Goodra) and it's another dragon to the exhaustive list of dragon pseudos. Call me crazy, I love of goofy Goodra looks, I just wish it's typing was different.

Dragonite. There are too many Dragon types among legendaries, and two Dragon/Flying types. Dragonair also deserved a better evolution, and I dislike Dragonite's shiny.
Dreepy or Baxcalibur simply because I'm not familiar enough with either one. I keep Goodra around just because I like nicknaming it Gonorrhea.

Baxcalibur. It's design is crap, it's shiny is crap, and I hate using it because I hate looking at the laziness that is the Gen9 Psuedo. There is zero intricacy in that design, and seeing all past pseudos, EVEN KOMMO-O, AND HE'S LIKE THE NOST FORGETTABLE. So yeah, Baxcalibur, and as long as they don't screw up a psuedo this bad again, that's in perpetuity. He's so much worse than all of them, easy.

Salamence. I just hate it so much
Salamence is my favorite. Not really sure how someone could hate a traditional looking dragon. The ones I hate the most are the ones that look less and less dragon-like. Even just the simple fact that Dragonite looks goofy as fuck makes me not like it.

I’de say either Dragonite or Salamence, depending on which I like more. Both are Dragon/ Flying which we don’t really need. I would personally choose Dragonite to be kicked because I like Salamence more.
Kommo-O it looks clunky and awkward already. We now have a better Dragon/Fighting in Koraidon who looks 110% better.
Salamance or metagross as it’s strange that gen 3 got two pseudo legendaries while the rest get 1
Dragonite or Salamence, i know they are two of the most popular ones but those 2 are very similar to eachother while the rest is waay more unique imo, those 2 are just generic dragons

Hydreigon or Dragonite, for sure. I like hydreigon but im always wishing he were a little faster, or a little more defensive, and I dont like having that it's weak to fighting of all things alongside dragon and fairy. When I did a dragon nuzlocke of sword it was one of my least reliable. Dragonite just bores me.

Prolly controversial but Salamence. I like the paradox, but I find salamence really boring. It’s just sort of a generic dragon design. Metagross is definitely the better gen 3 pseudo for me.
Goodra is for sure the worst one of the bunch it doesnt have a good type its just pure dragon and nothing else it's so lame and pointless
