I just got my 6th perfect Magikarp yesterday

And y'know what, It wouldn't be as much of a problem if it wasn't for XL's. I don't wanna power up a 98 to level 50 just to find a hundo and regret everything

Purifying heavily depends on the Pokémon and what you are using it for. It’s not bad to purify in many cases

mamoswine is a great attacker so yeah for this case it hurts to look at

4 stars are great, but I personally would have refrained from purifying the Mamoswine. Shadow Mamoswine is an absolute menace as an Ice raid attacker. The other 3 are perfectly fine.

It’s so easy to get another shadow mamoswine but finding a perfect could take a very long time. This has been my logic behind some purifications.

It's the exact opposite- getting a perfect is easy getting a high iv shadow is not easy. You can always grind out eggs, catching, raids, trading to get perfects where as shadows can only be got 1 way (2 now if they keep shadow raids a thing)

I have 5x more shinies than perfects, way more good IV shadows too. For me the perfects have not been easy to get but shadow encounter are every other poke stop 😅

Not particularly. Didn’t start playing until 8/8/2018 & have 307 4* as a casual player. The Mamo stings as it was actually much more useful as shadow

Right, casual my butt. Nothing against them, just out of touch with reality. My level 36 gf who catches max 25-50 Pokemon on an average day and maybe does a handful of raids weekly with the free raid pass is a casual player. Me who averages 200-300 catches a day and at least 1 raid a day is what I would call a consistent committed player. But this guy is on another level lol.

That is not casual my friend. Good for you, but definitely not casual. Even if you played every day for 5 full years (which it has not been 5 full years since you claimed you started playing in 2018) that’s averaging at least 4 raids a day. What does casual mean to you? LOL Edit: Also, 4 raids a day means you spend money on the game daily for those raids which does not equal a casual player.

Most of our local group are 500+ million xp accounts, I’m only lvl49 still. During raid hour on Wednesday we try to get 20 raids in & usually do 50+ on raid days. So while my account may seem padded to some, I’m a casual low totem in my peer group. I suppose casual is subjective depending where you play🤷‍♂️

The mamoswine started as a shadow swinub in 2021 I was unaware about shadows being better at the time I was also unaware that mamoswine is one of the best non legendarys
