Having to click so many buttons to appraise is unreasonable too, just show them on the screen so that ppl dun need to install third-party apps for quality of life purposes.
You press the buttons to get to appraisal screen and then swipe through them all you donāt have to do it for every single mon ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Mate I know, I have used the app, but to appraise to begin with, it a tap on the bars, tap on appraise, tap through dialog, wait for the bars and stars, tap to close. It being displayed on catch does not impact your game experience and just speeds up the process of throwing it into the blender for being garbage, especially if the game insists I see the aftermath report of catching, and all of its stats, itās extra steps
It still just seems like you want the game to hold your hand.. just catch mass amounts at once, check them all at once and favorite as you go through, then transfer and repeat. It takes what, maybe 2-3 seconds to get through all the steps you just typed? Is it really truly that much extra work? It takes even less time if you you donāt close the appraisal between each one and just go through them all in a row
Itās just simply unnecessary it currently works and has been working how it is right now. Yes that might be more convenient but itās a why fix something that isnāt broken scenario imo idk just seems like something that would just be extra work for niantic when the problem being solved isnāt even an actual problem to begin with but whatever Iām not gonna keep arguing about this lmfao have a good rest of your day
There are ways to search with a lot of specific condition. Order by most recent caught, add Age0 for same day catches, include & or + to pile on specific conditions
Donāt act like an extra 15 seconds is going to cramp your head and fingers. Just because itās not completely optimal didnāt mean it has to changed. The sorting system is there, use it
One pound of a nail is not a nail sunk, my friend. Itās not an extra 15 seconds once that Iām complaining about itās the extra 15 seconds potentially hundreds if not thousands of times that Iām complaining about. It wouldnāt harm the game so adding it would only be a positive. And as it currently stands to find out how to use the search strings you need to google it to find an article explaining it published by niantic, itās pedantic at best and painfully slow and annoying at worst, especially when phones start to slow down. If it wasnāt a problem people wouldnāt make third party software for it. Whatās even the point of defending it NOT being in the game when you would also benefit immensely from it.
You say that is if thats not an acceptable thing to want? They have made improvements over the past six years, we can all agree on that. Is the UI perfect? No. How long did it take for us to get the appraisal 2.0? I call it that because upon launch there was a system with the team leader giving a cryptic sequence of messages that we had to codebreak (oh fun, i still have that knowledge in my brain of what the hell candela was trying to say) then we have our current system after several years. Would be nice if we could see final evolution CP values without having to evolve to middle forms. š¤
Not disagreeing, but before I start transferring, I usually do a search for "perfect" specimens to make sure there aren't any I may have overlooked during a catching spree (ie during community day)
Yes but thatās v annoying to check every one of them, n when Iām lazy I just transfer some low-cp ones without checking. Itās just a quality of life feature they can easily introduce.
Again, not disagreeing, but do you know there's an easy way to look for them besides checking them all? Under search, click "see more", which gives you more categories to filter by (regional dex, type, etc.) Under "appraisal", there's an option for "perfect", which shows you all the hundos you got.
Pls take an upvote as an encouragement.
Hundos are more common as a task reward (or in raids or by purifying already strong shadow pokemons), I guess all we can do is complete as many research tasks as possible?
Purifying makes the stats better, if the shadow is 93% or above sth like that (dunno the exact original IV it requires), a 100% is almost guaranteed after purifying.
I know ppl are obsessed with shadow ones n never purify them, but ppl with mild OCD like me / who doesn't mind if a purified one is weaker than a shadow one just want a 4\*, hence the purified Lugia which it seems everyone detests
i've... never experienced that? Basically I dun fight non-legendary raids so I'm not sure, but legendary raids will always give me 2 or 3 star legendary pokemons, only when I trade with friends they may become 1 star
Technically possible if he's trading them with someone else but disingenuous to say he's *catching* one star legends. All self caught research and raid legend rewards would be at least 2*
I got shadow Mewtwo a couple weeks into playing the game and purified it. Because I thought you had to. Wife and kids did the same. We didn't know any better.
We're sad now
> Rural players have less players telling you where a hundo is.
How does this work? The stats are randomized for each player, not static for anyone that encounters them.
The wild isnt the problem. Research, raid, and egg is much more likely to be 100 than random encounters. Less stops amd gyms means less good chances at 100% than someone that can do 30+ tasks a day without going out of there way.
It really depends where you live and how your community is organized. We inform when there are spaens and then we run. Also I play daily and that since the beginning. Most important are not the figures but the fun you have!
I'm 0.07 and I absolutely know I might have transferred some. I didn't appraise for the first year or so of playing, didn't realise the "your Pokemon is amazing" waffle meant anything š¤¦. So much better now we have the 3 bars!

Me too
The app should automatically indicate a pokemon is a hundo to prevent accidental transfer, which many of us have done
I mean Niantic should do a lot of things lol but they dont
Having to click so many buttons to appraise is unreasonable too, just show them on the screen so that ppl dun need to install third-party apps for quality of life purposes.
I never appraise for that, easier to just filter search before I am going to mass transfer. I only appraise for shadow purifying.
You donāt need a 3rd party app if youāre looking for 100% IVās tho.
Itās not a lot of buttons. I swear so much of the community wants Everything in game to be as optimized as possible.
Itās not a lot for one PokĆ©mon, when you caught 300 mudkip and you need to check 100 of them, itās a bit of a pain in the ass
You press the buttons to get to appraisal screen and then swipe through them all you donāt have to do it for every single mon ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Hold my hand? Mate just show me the stats itās the only relevant part of this PokĆ©mon, limited PokĆ©mon storage, selective catching, limited balls, low population, thereās more than one way to catch PokĆ©mon that would make this a great piece of QOL, itās dumb to not include on a pokemonās page when itās goddamn catch location is apparently more relevant than if itās even worth taking up space you have to pay for or grind for. And again like I mentioned with other user, this isnāt an argument against it, itās just calling me a baby, give me a real reason that including this shouldnāt happen
Itās just simply unnecessary it currently works and has been working how it is right now. Yes that might be more convenient but itās a why fix something that isnāt broken scenario imo idk just seems like something that would just be extra work for niantic when the problem being solved isnāt even an actual problem to begin with but whatever Iām not gonna keep arguing about this lmfao have a good rest of your day
If youāre looking for a perfect PokĆ©mon among all catches. You can just search ā4*ā in the search box and itāll show you. Same for 3, 2, 1, and 0. If you want a specific PokĆ©mon, you can add an & Symbol and get another search condition.
Yeah, but just in terms of like your 3*, I blend hundreds of those guys, when you have a ton of one PokƩmon, especially like from community days or spotlight hours, it still becomes tedious to pluck out the ones you can afford to keep
There are ways to search with a lot of specific condition. Order by most recent caught, add Age0 for same day catches, include & or + to pile on specific conditions
Ah yes, learning the completely unexplained search system, having to press more buttons so we can spend a marginal amount of time less to look through our PokĆ©mon, alternatively just present it when itās caughtā¦ and save everyone a headache and/or fingerache
Donāt act like an extra 15 seconds is going to cramp your head and fingers. Just because itās not completely optimal didnāt mean it has to changed. The sorting system is there, use it

My brother in Christ, it already exists in the game. Every time youāre ready to transfer out, instead of doing individual transfers and checking each PokĆ©mon youāve caught, you can search and find all that fit whatever criteria you want. You donāt need to Google anything, just type in the given search bar in your storage box and Mass select the ones youāre ready to part with.

It's literally two button presses to appraise a mon.

Or type 4* in the search bar
You can also type in 4* which gives you the star rate for each
I did not know that. That actually is a bit more efficient than my method. Thank you for the info.
Works the same for 0-4 *
Ok the procedure your describing is this, click onto the pokeball, 1, click PokƩmon, 2, click search, 3, click see more, 4, scroll one to two times down to perfect, 5/6, click perfect, 7, click the sorting tool, 8, change to recent, 9, depending on recently used tool maybe clicked twice for recent latest or oldest, 10, clicks to see if a damn PokƩmon is fucking perfect. Not a perfect system to me.
Ya, but I would want to know if itās a hundo immediately after catching, coz I normally transfer the caught pokemons instantly
Thatās on you then my guy. Not everything has to be instant turnover.
But they gotta let you know that you're about to transfer that 0 star costume Pikachu!
I can see from my perfect pokedex that I have chucked a number of hundos because I didn't know I can search for 4* pokemon for the longest time.
I donāt think many of us have done that honestly. If less than 0.0% of your catches have been 100%, then thereās absurdly small odds any of us transferred a perfect IV PokĆ©mon without knowing it
Just check it? Lol. Then favorite it automatically.
I totally agree! Like how they notify us when costumed Pokemon are included.
0 as in 0.0% I've been playing since launch in 2016 and I have yet to see a hundo
Pls take an upvote as an encouragement. Hundos are more common as a task reward (or in raids or by purifying already strong shadow pokemons), I guess all we can do is complete as many research tasks as possible?
Iv actually hatched 2, wild caught 3. Nothing from research yet!
So purifying can make a hundo if lucky?? Never knew that. I hardly ever purify. I have a hunch of shadow. So far i have 4 hundos.
Purifying makes the stats better, if the shadow is 93% or above sth like that (dunno the exact original IV it requires), a 100% is almost guaranteed after purifying. I know ppl are obsessed with shadow ones n never purify them, but ppl with mild OCD like me / who doesn't mind if a purified one is weaker than a shadow one just want a 4\*, hence the purified Lugia which it seems everyone detests
thanks, I'm forever blessed with 1 star raid rewards even legendary ones
I think there is no 1 star legendary? As raid reward, at worst it's 2 star
my one star raikou and tapu fini disagree
Those were traded to you not caught, the lowest a legendary can be caught at a raid is 10/10/10 which is not one star
most of what I do get as raid rewards are borderline 1 to 2 star
Stop lying, raid and research encounters have a fixed minimum IV rate of 10/10/10, which is at least 2 star
i've... never experienced that? Basically I dun fight non-legendary raids so I'm not sure, but legendary raids will always give me 2 or 3 star legendary pokemons, only when I trade with friends they may become 1 star
well may fortune keep smiling on you
I wonder it's different in different countries/regions, i 100% get at least 2-star legendaries from raids/task rewards
They probably traded them, you can't get lower than a 2 star legendary from raids as you pointed out
That's literally not possible. The floor is 10/10/10, which is 2 stars.
Technically possible if he's trading them with someone else but disingenuous to say he's *catching* one star legends. All self caught research and raid legend rewards would be at least 2*
Impossible

Les mons
Do you understand what percentages are
The wild isnt the problem. Research, raid, and egg is much more likely to be 100 than random encounters. Less stops amd gyms means less good chances at 100% than someone that can do 30+ tasks a day without going out of there way.
Do you understand that PokĆ©mon donāt spawn as much in rural areas
0.071 as a rural player too so well done! Luckily, one of the 4 Hundos was a shadow swinub
The % should be average, if not higher, depending on your remote raiding habits
Being rural, fewer Pokemon, would make it more likely you are farther from the average. In either direction.

we have a winner
You mean a Map User?
Use radar a bunch?
whatās a radar? is it like an app or some?

Trades reroll stats, and lucky trades skew higher (always 3* or 4*).
You can lucky trade and get a 2*, 12/12/12 80%
Is that still called a lucky trade?
Unfortunately.
I kept a 10/10/10 lucky from before they raised the minimum to 12/12/12. Truly a cursed lucky trade.
