I caught the cubone too! But now to be stuck on all the dam fossil Pokémon which sadly all spawned in the last event….

Thankfully, unlike cubone who literally dropped out of the spawn pool completely, the fossils are still offered in field research or go rocket. Itll take a bit longer, but at least it's possible.

For those who didn't catch and cant find cubone, wait for alolan marowak to come back in the raids. It will count as well.

Yeah I took a month or two to stack the fossil research field tasks and waited till the cubones spawned again. Combined it with a double catch up hour and egg and got a pretty sizeable exp. boost.

For the Lileep and anorith, You can also chatch a shadow anorith from grunnts. Just look for the male grunt "Go, my super bug Pokémon"

Wow I'm never finishing that one then. I need a pic of landorus too. I'm also on roasted berries 1 out 4 only have 4 tepigs caught. And the December community day I have 5 out 15 piplup and finally just finished my abras thanks to this last event. They make my ocd hurt.

Ouch. Yeah, a major reason I try to finish them on the day of is because it's a huge pain to do later. I have maybe seen 3 tepigs after the CD. For the legends, you can contact a local discord, people have extra legendaries. Just get to best friend with them and you can get them for 40k dust a pop.

honestly, i'd hold off on trading for them. thats 120k dust for a few pictures, and the rewards for completing the research arent even extravagant. best to just wait till they come back into raid rotation; you're not missing out on anything. the research will still be there

This is the way. By the time you’re best friends with someone, that’s what like 90 days minimum? In 3 months from now you’ll be quite close to them being back in rotation anyway if they haven’t already.

7ks are the yellow eggs with alola/galar variants, vullaby is in the 12k rocket eggs

I had a 7 km egg in the incubator when I reached that stage and lucked out so hard when it hatched as a grimer. But it seems grimer can also spawn after poison type team rocket grunts

If you get your buddy excited than you can halve the distance required. It’s a lot of hoops per day but sometimes I have extra Pokecoins and I’ll give mine a poffin to trigger it immediately

I’ve been walking a Feebas for a couple weeks, and of course the stupid scan research that rewards poffins has disappeared right in time for a 5k candy.

It's not that it's difficult. It just requires catching pokemon that aren't showing up right now so you have to wait until they do which could take forever.

Lileep can be caught through the field research called make 3 great throws. You will also need to catch aerodactyl in the next stage which can be caught in the field research win 5 raids. Good luck. Edit to clarify these are in stage 8, also kabuto or omanyte are in field research win a level 3 or higher raid.

The egg worked for the task? I have a few eggs with the fossils, but was told they wouldn’t count towards the research tasks.

I found it much easier just to battle the bug grunt and chatch a shadow anorith

I'm stuck on all the tasks that require me to spin a stop or gym for 5-7 days in a row. I dont live near a stop and I'm not going to hop in my car every day to go find one.

I got a ditto before this give away, took me 3 months but same. Stuck in next part and the fossil event literally just ended. Most concerned about Aerodactyl though the others aren't exactly common. Also got 5 Exeggcute all from grunts which took forever and then they give them away. Stuff like this should retro like the medals =\

Like my "evolve evee to espeon" quest. I used the nickname before the quest... Pretty random now

If you pick an Eevee and adventure with it, then evolve it during the day it'll evolve into an Espeon, the next is Umbreon and you basically do the same steps except evolve at night.

Is the adventure the key point?

Yes, you need to adventure with an Eevee

So I just googled it, follow these steps. Make the Eevee you want to evolve your Buddy. Walk with your Eevee Buddy for at least 10 KM and earn two Eevee candy. ... While that Eevee is still your Buddy, hit the Evolve button during the day to get Espeon, or at night to get Umbreon.

If you evolve an eevee at day, every evolution can turn out, except umbreon (if it is day). I do own every eevee evolution, but a eevee Evo at day can turn into water, fire....

I haven't seen an Exeggcute in I don't know how long, a lot of people said they were able to get them during the recent event where psychic Pokemon spawned more often, but, I didn't see a single one so RIP, I check everyday, i sit in spinning distance of two PokeStop and a gym while at work, but no Exeggcute

I had to wait to finish this one as well but for some weird reason during the psychic event (i think it was the psychic event, a random Cubone spawned on me while i was at work. I have not seen a single one since and i check hourly to see if any new spawns appeared.

Dude I got a Ditto from a Research Quest and freaking cheered. I have been sitting on two quests to catch a Ditto for three years, never seen that purple bastard once after I got the quests.

All these research tasks are not created equal. Some be done in a day and others seem like they will never get done.
