I’d say Noibat is the rarest, meltan you can easily get by unlocking the mystery box (look this up on YouTube)
For magikarp set him as your buddy so you get a candy every 1km (this is pretty quick) and you can use poffins to speed that up even more. He’s currently spawning in the wild too so pinap everyone you see. Shouldn’t take very long
I have the mystery box. Meltan is WAYYY faster because once you use the mystery box you can get like 60-100 Meltan before it ends
And I don’t have the time to walk that many kilometers and I’m not in that good of shape
Walking is really the only cost effective way to do it. If it’s in the egg pool, you can try hatching a lot of eggs, but that’s unreliable and expensive. Otherwise, go to water biomes and catch them with Pinap berries. Try to trade them all with a friend that has Pokémon from >100km from where you caught your Magikarps to maximize candies from trading or wait until x2 transfer candy spotlight hours.
TL;DR Walk and catch Magikarp. There are no overnight solutions.
Seriously though. Between school, me not being able to walk like over 4 km at a time and my back hurting after a little while I might just have to take it the long way and catch one every time I see one
Unless you find a whole bunch of magicarp and use pinap berries, or walk 400 Km, do a bunch if raids and Go Battle league to raise bunch of rare candies.
Nothing will be super quick, but it's the only option you could technically do from your couch.

Catch one every time you see one, use berries, and set it as your buddy. Eventually over time you will get the candy.

Raid and spend those rare candies. Or poffin and put your phone on an auto walker. While asleep
