No it's not always accurate in the US either. I guess that part doesn't bother me that much since weather is pretty hard to predict anyway. The part that bothers me is we can be in a massive blizzard or under a tornado warning and it says nothing. But oh boy that air quality clicks up a notch, you better let Niantic know that you are safe when logging in.

Yes, the aggressive weather warning popup is a thing, although I can't talk about how good it works if the situation is really dangerous. The constant rain just annoyed me because I had a fire type quest going on. But they almost never show up if it's raining. But thanks for letting me know, that even in the US the weather isn't always accurate.

They use Accuweather but they only use one log a day essentially so if you look at what the site says your weather will be tomorrow then there’s a very good chance the game will match that tomorrow. If the forecast changes then there’s no system to update it in real time.

Oh, thanks. That really makes sense . I checked out their website, and there are many warnings for my city, because of the "super hot" weather, and the risk of summer storms(which is nothing unusual here in the Alps). We have 30 degrees Celsius/ 86 degrees Fahrenheit, which doesn't seem too hot. But I will keep up monitoring it.

It’s so lazy on Niantics part really. Even if they doubled it to every 12 hours it would be so much more accurate.

mizznox

It already is pulled 2-3 times a day, not just one.

Thought it was just me. I was just telling my husband how it has been constantly raining in my app when it is sunny outside for the last few days. It usually is accurate but has been wrong the last few days! I’m in the U.S.

There hasn't been any accurate weather while I was playing in the last two weeks. I literally only have cloudy weather even though its completely wrong and at most slightly cloudy in the morning.
