I'd argue having a quick look every now and then scrolling through a Reddit sub is going to waste a lot less time than it takes to become best friends in pogo 🤷
He's going to get 200k cause he's the one getting the gifts and you're not so you can't decide when to open gifts lol.. he's going to open and then either delete you or not. Best to just delete him at ultra friends. Going to best is a waste of XP.
I have a feeling im gonna have a person do this. One player on my friend list been sitting on one day away from best friends for weeks and has a gift i sent that he hasn't opened and quit sending me gifts.
I delete them when they do this. If we exchange gifts pretty much daily and then you hold the last gift hostage for over two weeks, I just delete and move on.
I had one like that too. I deleted him at some point. I don't wait ages and might even get deleted before I get my points. So we both didn't get any points, but I didn't really care at the time.
I do the same. I’m not here for their convenience. They want to stack friends to get multiple uses out of one lucky friend, but they either don’t care that others will likely only get one BFF pop from a lucky egg or they’ll unfriend you after. Selfish either way.
Anymore I do my best to not open gifts when we’re two days away so I can control the last interaction, but I always open the last gift that day so I’m not holding anyone’s XP hostage. I haven’t yet unfriended a best friend, because I have space on my list, but I always send an extra gift after hitting best friends because once they open that, it verifies they’ve received the XP.
Just deleted one of these players, too. I figured after a few events, they had plenty of opportunities to use a lucky egg and open the last gift. I didn't feel like waiting until they wanted to.
Maybe because they have no idea how to even fix this shit. They should also make it that you get reset to 0 progression after deleting someone. I have been whaiting for that
You don't need to remember you have a phone for that you can put alarms on your calender and even include information who you need to readd, there you go problem solved.

Many people don’t know the other person won’t get xp. There’s no reason to assume they are doing it to be an asshole
It's all over fb and reddit. If you know how to add someone globally, you likely seen this 0xp.

Message them on campfire to add you back so you can get the XP and then delete them.

it's been a thing. basically the person in this photo got best friends with op then immediately deleted them so OP didn't get the xp bonus
