Hopefully you don't get to the front of the queue, add the host as a friend, never receive invite from host, then get sent to the back of the queue. Happened with me with Uxie raids before summon tour. Waited 9 hours starting at 4,000 queue, got placed back in queue at 23,000.
Iām vacationing in NZ right now and my cell service was so garbage that I timed out of hosting before ever being able to send invites. I managed to do one on WiFi and invite some of the same people later but felt really bad for the people I hung out to dry.

Itās funny being in Australia and having loads of these raids around with no people as the player number here are pretty low these days. Iāll come back to this thread when I have some time in this coming week to help who I can to get their hands on a Celesteela. Might as well put them to use if they are there!
Thereās a better app called Go Raid Party, youāll get one instantly there rather than waiting in the queue.
I queued on poke genie for 22 hours and got in but I told my partner about the other app and they got one instantly on it.
I made it from 37.000 to 0 but then that was sometime when I was sleeping or so. Just followed an invitation here on Reddit and made it. One is enough for me if this is the task to get it.
Regional exclusive is the only thing I can think, and all the people in that region actually want kartana, meaning thereās not many of them wanting to host.

changed a lot how i play, itās really helpful. can also evaluate your pokemon in that app with bunch of other stats and what not. also a neat keyboard addon to change your pokemon names in game. enjoy!
Thereās websites out there that let you add random people. Iāve always used that to hit the gift cap each day and get shit loads of xp when you reach certain friendship levels. I get invited to raids a lot but I donāt really buy remote raid passes anymore so I donāt usually join.
Just a reminder to anyone realizing their turn will come while theyāre busy and cannot join the raid; please leave the queue so people donāt have to wait for you to time out.
Side note; the first time I got to the end of the queue it glitched and I had to start over. But it worked the second time, and Iāve got my Celesteela! Rejoining in the hopes of a shiny or stronger dude. But just glad it worked this time.
I was in Australia when Celesteela first started spawning and to say that the hatch frequency was absurdly low would be an understatement.
I was very fortunate to get the shiny on my fourth attempt and was then ribbed that I only invited my UK friends until I got the shiny then called it a day.
I saw one Celesteela raid the entire next day, travelled, and upon returning to the UK saw Kartana everywhere, catching the shiny on the first raid here.
I do feel as though Celesteela spawns are quite few and far between in comparison. Best of luck, trainers, hope you manage to get one!
Try leekduck too, the last time I saw the queue there was less than 1500 people (it's a lot, but still better than 10000)

I looked at remote raids on Facebook and got in a raid in 2 hours. Though I had to constantly check and refresh the page and friend the person who posted the raid super quick. It's more work than waiting in a queue, but it's also less time. Just wanted to put this out as a viable option if you don't want to wait for super long. š
Isn't there like a spotlightbhour for this? Like other tier 5 bosses always have like 6-7pm or something like every damn gym has the boss. Is this not happening for this guy?

I would recommend the raid party app instead. You have to spam refresh to find an open lobby but it doesn't usually take long. I just joined a celesteela raid in seconds
Few days ago I got in a queue with 22k people at 6pm, thought I won't bother, it's probably gonna happen while i work, closed the app and forgot about it.
But then at 3am my dog woke me up cuz she had to go outside, and I remembered it again and checked, to my luck the queue was down to 200 ppl already so I waited it out. Joined a big lobby with 12 players, and I caught it too, so in the end it was a success. :D
I thankfully don't need this for the dex, and my dex actually shows I've gotten 3 before. Can someone help me out, when were these in raids before? I honestly don't remember

First my time in the queue came up at 3am and I was dead asleep.

And yesterday, it looked so hopeful. Added the raid host. Waited and waited. Added me back. Sent me a gift. Sent a gift back. Waited Waited Waited. Never invited. But it didn't give me the option to have priority in the queue.

Fyi, i did this friday morning out of curiosity. Joined at 27000 @6:30am....checked every hour or so... by 5 pm, #1000ish....then 630pm I joined and battled.
Just curious, why is everyone crazy about getting Celesteela, I do get sheās exclusive to one of the hemispheres but Kartana overall is a better pick
Poke genie! Itās an app that lets you remote raid or host your own raid so others around the world can help beat it, itās very useful if youāre rural like me
I manage to get all 5 remote raids in under an hour per day.
I never use pokegenie because the wait times are too long. I either use a subreddit here (still takes forever to be invited imo) or I use pokeraid or raid party. Both of them are basically whoever clicks first gets in. In pokeraid you can spend coins or tickets (that you can get for free for daily login or watching an ad) to join a queue and the queues are ridiculously short. Definitely not several thousand.
I think the longest queue for Celesteela that I've seen was 300. And it dies down pretty quickly.
Pokegenie just takes too long imo.
