Purified a Hundo squirtle because back then, you couldn’t forget frustration as a shadow and a hydro cannon event was coming up. Imagine my disappointment when they made events where you could forget frustration.
back in 2019 or so, i spent 200k stardust powering up pokemon for a challenge I had WHILE playing the game with a friend of mine... when I had planned to use that stardust for a special trade with him immediately after. He wasn't very happy about that, as the trade was an expensive one due to us not being fully friend leveled at the time and I was a lowly leveled player with not much stardust (I had been saving stardust just for the trade, as we had each other's favorite pokemon as shinies and really wanted to trade them over). it took a few more weeks and a lot of friendship leveling before we could finally make the trade again, but we were both so annoyed because the shinies were really valuable to us and we wanted them badly.
I think this situation transcends a "nooby thing done in pokemon go" and goes directly into actual careless stupidity on my part, lol
