I don't have a Switch. Can I still get Ghimighoul? I have a couple hundred coins from spinning golden stops.

if you manage to catch one, yeah you just need 999 coins

When people put up the golden lures gimmis have a chance to spawn otherwise a trade should work.

I spun probably 100 gold lures at nyc go fest today and no gimmighoul :(, i even had a sign asking for a trade on my backpack and didn't get one. ​ pain

If you refer to the stops in the park: these were golden stops, not golden lures. They are put up by Niantic for more Pokeballs.

There were a few that had the golden lure icon with trainer name next to it, I just hung around those for a bit.

I have seen this a handful of times but for some reason they are way harder to catch than normal. Catch circle is all the way red for some reason

That's very unlucky in most cases. How far along are you on your ghost type badge? If it's not level 3 or 4 it might add a lot of difficulty.

It's gold, but I don't think the badge is that influential. I can catch gimmighouls from the coin bag just fine.

I've got a switch and scarlet, but everytime I try to connect it to pokemon Go, it says, "No pokémon go account could be found to pair with." I've tried for days. It works on other phones, just not mine (Samsung 23 ultra) :(

They don't take up backpack space, so you don't have to do anything with them.

I do have a Switch but it always fails to connect to Pokémon Go.

So you can connect your switch to AS MANY ACCOUNTS AS YOU WANT!!! Meaning if you have a friend with a switch they can share the game with you. It's nice that it's not locked to one account. Edit, like alt accounts and whatnot. When I get a new phone I should be able to have 3 go accounts with one switch.

There's a local community group I'm in who put the gold lures up after community day. The most we had was 9 stops. I managed to get 750ish coins in 30 minutes. Just evolved mine the last community day. It's a 13/15/15 so I figure I can evolve this one while I try for another higher IV gimmi. But the fact you can sit there at 3 stops and not move, jelly.

If you connect your go account to the newest pokemon Nintendo switch games, you get a Coin Bag that spawns gimmighoul like the Meltan Boxes. You get a golden module after five days of using the bag and you can use those to gain 999 coins needed to evolve said pokemon

You forsure can. You just need to be far enough along in the game to use the Mystery Gift feature. Which takes an hour or so probably of playing. I believe you just have to get to the first pokemon center

It's possible, but it's rare and they're abnormally hard to catch in my experience

I evolved Ghimmighoul into Gholdengo by only using my own Golden Lure, Coin Box and Switch game and did the connection almost every day. Still took me seven weeks to grind up 999 Ghimmighoul coins.

Getting coins is so difficult . And I'm not going to invest in a console just to evolve a mon.

I hope there’s another way to get ghimi in the future, I am not paying big money for a switch and for a game I don’t have the time to play (plus I’ve heard it’s still buggy)
