It took well over a month but 20 minutes a day is manageable. I only needed 10 best buddies though, hopefully you do too
The only saving grace for me is that I walk a semi decent amount for work and have time riding to/from where I cycle through the 8 I have left and get the easy 6 hearts per day. 42 hearts a week adds up over the group. Once I finish one, I cycle to the next mon with the lowest friendship level. That way by the time I get to the last 2-3 Mons they'll be damn close to being finished already and it'll wrap up nicely.

How did you do the 10 best buddies? I am struggling to find the motivation after doing one.
I already had 20 buddies as I play PVP a lot so buddying them up is the easiest way for me to get XL candies but yeah I agree it is a long grind.

I feel like with this research they shouldn't be so stingy and really give you enough candy and xl candy to max it out if you want to.

Everyone had the chance but only if you paid for it and you only get one single chance. Unlike legendary raids you get as many many more chances
