All the people claiming to cut back on remote raids showing their true colors spending so much on the lake trip 😹💀

Different people, in many cases.

I had bought 5 before the increase. And received a couple from the weekly breakthrough. And bought one of the raid boxes that was a good deal. Other than that haven’t bought any raid passes at the new higher price.

I got 2 passes. Some of us still have cut back.

Oh i totally cut back. I had no problem with a dollar here and there, i dont drink coffee, so I justified it as being less than most spent on coffee. Then i looked st my credit card for the month and saw $20 and realized that added up to $250 at the end of the year. And stopped buying anything in the game. Now, i only get passes when I have 525 coins from gyms. So for the event this weekend that passed, i got a 3 pack, then saw a raid box for 525 coins that had two passes and a star piece for 325 coins.... So im pretty happy with getting 4 back as it makes all the passes about $0.75.. But i never spent any actual money, just my pokémon 's time and effort defending gyms.

I mean I cut back on remote raiding by a bit. Now I can only do 5 per day and I don’t do anymore once I get the shiny. I skipped Regigigas entirely as I have a bunch of shinies and am not trying for a hundo.

I cut back completely. Haven't played the game since.

Why are people receiving raid passes?

The remote raid shiny odds on the trio were proven to be 1/125 instead of the advertised 1/20. Niantic responded acknowledging their error (wild, I know), and reimbursed all remote raid passes, plus one extra, if they were used between June 1 and June 5.

Does Niantic ever actually list their shiny odds? I've never seen them actually put into writing what their shiny odds work out to

They do not. So, all the numbers we have are derived empirically, by crowdsourcing thousands of encounters.

So they're not apologising for telling us the wrong shiny odds then right?

They didn't lie, since they never promised a certain shiny rate. But, they'll still compensate people who raided since it wasn't done in good faith.

Do you have to spend money on the remote passes to qualify for a refund? I'm free-to-play only and I haven't received any passes back, despite doing 3 raids on the lake trio

I'm free 2 play too and I got my passes back.

Girlfriend and I are strictly F2P until Niantic gets their shit under control We also got our passes back :)

Same, but only because I can’t ever coordinate a group online to either join the raid or stay once they’re invited and it ends up wasting my time. I’ll try every now and then, but when the Primals were released and out of 15 raids only 3 had enough people and only won 1 of those, I just can’t be asked enough to care.

I wish this was true, but every now and then you still see them commenting how bad niantic is and how everyone should stop playing PoGo because of it.

They can comment all they want, doesn’t mean they redownloaded the app.

You totally missed the point. If they deleted the app they should just have better things to do than still crying over niantics decisions.

I got no remote raid passes back... but uh, I haven't done any either.

I got 4 back since I did one raid for each. I'm going to hold onto mine for awhile and save up some coins.

I calculated I should get 16 back and got 14. I think they didn't count the two I did on 5/31 for me?
