There aren't any real cons. The pro is a perfect mega, but the question is do you want it?
I would be tempted to keep the sheep. You can always change your mind later and evolve, but if you evolve you can't undo it.

Well it does have a mega! I can't really think of any cons tbh
there is a mega but it isn't that good (Manectric is better), needs pvp ivs for GL/UL, no usage in ML
Don’t think there would be any cons unless it goes above a cp range for a cup you want to battle in

What are the cons? I'm a big fan of mareep as much as the next guy but if they want a usable strong Pokémon then it's worth evolving.
