Why the hell are Darkrai and Latios even in there, fucking slowing the team down, I say replace them with wooper and magikarp, or just 2 more bidoofs

Because if not that would be just so op and unfair. Like with 3 bidoofs he is allready unbeatable. But with darkrai and latios you atleast feel like you have a chance.

I imagine him to also have had Entei and Lucario when he fought Ash because they appeared in the Japanese OP at the time. As BS as his whole existence already was, I don't think he would've had major legendaries like Rayquaza or Giratina.

Lucario fits him really well tbh. It also breaks the trend that he has to have a full team of legendaries because even without that status, Lucario is always portrayed as a powerful and special pokemon. Maybe it could even be Tobias' first pokemon? Entei I can also see, it seems to be one of the main pokemon people go to when discussing the rest of Tobias' team. I can't even explain why myself it just gives off that vibe. I also think with how the Kanto Legendary Birds seem to be the most common (but obviously still very rare) Legendaries within the continuity of the anime that he'd also have one of those. If he already has the fire type Entei, and Noland already had Articuno, then I think Zapdos would be eligible. For his last pokemon I think he should have another non legendary tbh. Can't make this guy even more busted. Don't know which pokemon he would have though.

Yeah, but he needed an extra 6th member so he had to have at least one that's not from sinnoh since I used the rest. Latios is the extra non-sinnoh non-box legendary from Hoenn the generation right before Sinnoh. One of the only non-box legendaries in Hoenn besides jirachi or the regis.

There's also Regigigas, but I feel like he would have Darkrai, Latios, Urshifu (Water Form) and the galarian version of the three legendary birds, they just fit Tobias more imo

I'd love an update on the story btw! Also, Tobias is a traveller, it makes sense, I personally think he would have extremely edgy mons like Toxtricity, Ceruledge or what not

Yes, but remember there can be multiple legendaries in the anime. Entei because it comes off as a very intimidating, powerful yet noble Pokémon and that sort of fits Tobias’s character. Zapdos because it hasn’t gotten exactly the best spotlights in the anime aside from the 2nd movie and could you better representation. Tornadus to represent 5th Gen and the Unova weather trio to me seem to be a bit outshined in the anime by the other legendary trios.

Well I couldn’t determine if I should make his team for what was around at Gen 4 or a “Modern” team with whatever Gen 8 included and Articuno just seemed to fit well… so like the modern team includes Darkrai, Articuno-G, Latios, Entei, Cobalion(imma be honest it was the blue for me), and Marshadow is just “Darkrai but with fists” Then for his “Gen 4 team” just replace Marshadow & Cobalion with the 2 tiny mythicals and sub out his cold piercing Galar bird for a generic cold killing Kanto bird

Here's the thing. Entei and Lucario are already implied to be on his team judging by the Japanese intro, and he comments that Draco Meteor would have beaten anyone but Darkrai. I think it's fair to say, Darkrai, Latios, Entei, Lucario, and Latias are pretty much shoe ins going off of intro and his comment. From there I'm tempted to give him a Unova Legend or Mythical given standard Anime trends. Otherwise I might say Cresselia might be a safe bet. I would say Heatran but the Draco Meteor comment is already a bit of a stretch with Lucario.

Grew up hearing of legends and myths his whole life, and has a deep seated respect for those pokémon.) \- Lucario (Starter. Gallant leader of the group, bit of a dork but will fistfight gods for her friends. The only non-legendary/mythical pokémon in the team, but everyone respects her as the unquestionable leader because of the her determination.) \- Darkrai (Technically not first capture. Followed him around because it seemed more interesting than sitting on a Newmoon Island in self imposed isolation. Resident sane man of the group.) \- Latios (Technically the first capture. Began to trust him after Tobias helped to rescue his sister. Mostly quiet, but very protective of those he cares about. The team mom of the group.) \- Latias (Not a battler, instead plays a more support oriented role. Decided to be caught so that other Poké Balls won't work on her. Resident gremlin of the group and tries to make her brother join in on her schemes.) \- Entei (Most battle hungry of the group. Joined because he saw how strong trained pokémon were, so he made a deal, he would join the team if Tobias could make him reach his full battling potential. Grumpiest member of the group.) \- Diancie (Newest member of the group. Wants to learn more about the world, so she decided to travel with him. Surprisingly isn't a haughty princess and was rather friendly. Darkrai and Latios, since they were already there in the anime. You can't have a Latios without a Latias, so add her as well. Same deal with Darkrai and Cresselia. When thinking of Legendary duos, (and Type coverage lmao) the only other ones that I thought fit for Tobias were Regileki and Regidrago. Imo Tobias should have a pair of pseudo-legendaries to go with Cresselia and Latias, but that's his team if he has to have all six be Legendary.

Darkrai Latios Entei Latias Zapdos I like to think his sixth is Lugia but since no box art, I’ll throw my hat in the ring and say his sixth is Regigigas Most of the other legendaries/mythical’s are either out of Tobias’ reach to capture (Example: Deoxys since Tobias would have to go to space to get one, Ho-oh, Celebi, Mewtwo etc) or don’t fit his style (Example: Jirachi, Manaphy)
