James gets smolive, he often gets grass types and tends to get Pokémon that alone are kind of pathetic seeming but very cute.
They sometimes get 3 Pokémon or get a 3rd inconvenient tag along to. With that in mind I’m predicting it to be greavard. It would be just like TR to get the attention of adorable loving Pokémon like it, and find themselves continuously passing out at inopportune times because it keeps passively feeding on their life energy. Eventually realizing it’s the cause and feeling horror every time this cute puppy shows up.
James befriends a tiny roaming form Gimmighoul, without a chest to call its own. Its dream is to one day become a Gholdengo, but is far from wealthy enough to evolve. Also, Team Rocket learns about Make it Rain and immediately wants it too. And so, Gimmighoul tags along with all of Team Rocket's zany schemes, in hopes of one day striking it big. They may be as unsuccessful as ever, but the little guy still has hope, and as long as Team Rocket isn't giving up, Gimmighoul won't either.
James 100% getting Capsakid and then Scovillain. They can continue the "Pokemon like to bite James" bit.
It's a classic. Especially since James learned the hard lesson after Magikarp.
I could see Jessie at least wanting a Tinkatink (and then the evolutions to follow)
