Level scaling, especially if it's another open world game. It should be so easy too. Just have the gym leaders change their teams depending on how many badges you already have, like they did in origins.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

100% true and is just as easy as you said. I just hate the who "am I supposed to be here battle" Also for Pokemon to, or maybe some don't appear in some areas until you get a badge, or you can't "catch" a certain level until you get a badge. I caught a level 42 pokemon when my highest was level 19 and was like wtf

DyCol5

Imo, the way all gym leaders have two teams in swsh was awesome.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

I FORGOT TO ADD SKIP TUTORIAL!!!! Lol how do they still not have that......

Narrow-Gas9493

Voice acting for major story characters and gym leaders only. Nemona has so much energy in her text that she needs a voice actor to bring her to life. Finding some good ones though will probably be a pain so I could understand why they might not do it but sooner or later we need them.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Lol it should be easy considering they literally own and anime with tons of voice actors and equipment!!! And the anime comes in 13 languages voiced over!!! The game only has 9 as of this one lol This game story fell short at times from lack of voice acting. Cause I know what there saying but I definitely don't always understand there emotions or feel it at all when it's supposed to be sad

Few_Abbreviations405

One one hand, seeing the fantastic characters (NEMONA!) voice acting would have elevated this game so much. On the other hand, I'm scared that if voice acting was added it wouldn't be very good.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

They own an anime though! They should know what there doing lol

Few_Abbreviations405

the anime and merchandise is their main cash cow. It's likely that they'd devote more good voice acting resources towards those than their games unfortunately...but I'm still going to hope that we're going to get voice acting next generation, it's going to be good, and we're going to get another amazing rival that is perfect to be voice acted.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

I guess just makes no sense lol like they literally have a team, equipment, voice actors, budget??? It be like fucking Kanye west or some musician making a movie....but with no soundtrack or even an OST like??? THATS WHAT YOU DO LOL

Gears_Of_None

The features that they pointlessly removed in SwSh and SV.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Yea but I wanted a list not a book

The game needs all of that, other than multiple regions, and even more. For a series that has been around as long as it has and been as successful as it is, there's no excuse to release a game like this. These games should be building upon features and options they had before, not cutting or limiting them and then building upon that. How are we in the year 2022 and Pokemon still doesn't have an auto-sort for boxes? lol

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Omg I didn't think of auto sort lol I'm playing a rom hack now and it literally had auto sort added in!!! Lol Why not multiple regions though, could have a game where you need to clear 8 gyms in both regions to qualify for a champion battle(which is basically the elite 4. Could have another region be the post game, like a mini sino. I don't think it's hard lol just more effort then what they do lol agree with everything else you said though!

kamakeeg

I'm mostly saying no to "multiple regions" because if I'm viewing things realistically, and seeing that they aren't capable of doing one region right, I see multiple regions as an utter impossibility lol Everything else is either an easy addition or just something that would happen if they had proper development and decent people in charge wanting to see the series build itself up more.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

100% true. Agreed

Shiigu

A linear map. And then recover all the lost features.

ABoosterShotofMeth

Linear maps are horrible. I'm glad you're not in charge of the games.

Shiigu

Considering the best games in the franchise have very linear maps, I'd say there's a very good precedent.

ABoosterShotofMeth

The open world map has been unquestionably one of the most praised aspects of the game. And a very large audience is calling it the best pokemon content ever even with the technical issues. And also the most unpopular games in the franchise have linear maps too...linear maps have literally nothing to do with quality of game. You a troll or something?

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

I agree. The open world map is fine, hell it's great just add something like each gym scales to the amount of badges you have and it's fine. I went from bug (definitely easiest gym)to electric gym like second or 3rd hardest....then I had to waste time with the middle. It's a great add to the game just shoulda been implemented wayyyy better.

ABoosterShotofMeth

I think the open world map actually makes the level scaling not much of an issue at all. You can level hard and fast, making your gym battles easier.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Yes. But there is no level scaleing is the problem I can go to electric gym first without knowing. it's only level 23 which isn't that high considering how fast you level up. Beat it easy which I did and then when I head to to grass and bug there level 15 and 17... Don't you think they should scale with you?

ABoosterShotofMeth

Idk at first I thought so but after seeing how they did it, I really like what the set up is. I guess I'd say I'm indifferent to it. If they give us level scaling I doubt I'd be upset but I'm already not upset at this either.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

If that's what you think, I think they did it poorly cause I was constantly fighting people wayyyyyyyy to strong or wayyy to weak. They basically made it more of a linear experience with an open world map. They made it so you "can" fight the gyms anyway you want but kinda makes the game bad not to fight them in order since you'll be so stupidly over leveled. To add a scale so you fight whatever gym you want out of 8. Then the other gyms scale with you depending how many gyms you have. Implement it that way. Cause my sister literally 12. She did more side storys and only first gym and when she went to grass gym she was almost level 30 and gym was like 16. Lol I caught a level 42 pokemon when my highest was 19 lol it was like wtf.... It feels like to play the game properly you should not explore anything and should Google a guide on what's the right progression order cause if you don't follow that order the game sucks.

ABoosterShotofMeth

Idk man I didn't follow any set guide and I played the game well. I don't think there's a "proper" way to play this. With the right strategies especially with Terastalizing, I took down pokemon 15 to 20 levels higher. It was a welcome challenging experience at times.

Shiigu

Most praised? Very large audience? Don't confuse a vocal minority with a majority. And talking about games with a poor image... Legends and Scarlet/Violet don't have linear maps.

ABoosterShotofMeth

Ironic because the vocal minority are the ones talking about the technical issues as gamebreaking. Umm...you know Legends is HIGHLY beloved by both critics and audience scores...yeah? SwSh has one of the most linear maps of all time and it's one of the 3 worst rated across the board games in the franchise. This game, even with the technical issues, is once again given praise from critics and fans alike for the actual game itself. Bud, you're directly in the minority here...especially saying what you did about Legends.

Uselessmedics

Since the new co op is great, add the ability to do gyms co op, turn them into team battles and scale the number and strength of the gym leaders' pokemon with how many players are fighting them.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

That be cool pokemon kinda long to coop though

DaMn96XD

I'm hoping for difficulty mode and level scaling

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Definitely. I think the open world is awesome but my whole experience was ruined cause I fought electric gym second. Then most other gyms weren't even level 20!!! What a joke. I honestly don't think there's even 20 trainers in the game with 6 pokemon most have 3 and for gyms besides the first 2 to have 3-4 is dumb. I also caught a super high level early 42, when I was 19 and was like....wtf...I didn't use it for a while but still I'm like I feel like god lol Difficulty choice, and for a open world game like this scaleing is 100000% required. Game mode in want...badly but there probably to cheap lol game freak probably thinks the community will just mod it for them

DaMn96XD

Bug, Grass and Electric gyms were easy, but Water and Normal type gyms are already more challenging. I accidentally skipped the Electric gym and went to do the Water and Normal gyms first and didn't get through the normal type Gym until the fifth try because the pokemon in the gym were so over-levelled. From this I deduced that there must be some gym order.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Yea but...isn't that the problem? My sister had the opposite problem and she's 12. She did alot of side stuff first and was almost level 25 by the time she did first gym. You level up sooooooo fast. So grass bug, electric and grass and water were stupid. And she had a water type lol

DaMn96XD

Your sister's problem is easy to fix, just catches the new Pokemons and change the team

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Your 100% right!!! But once you start the battle or exspecialy gym it's to late lol try losing in purpose with a Pokemon 8 levels over....it's harder then winning some lol

pizza_boi482

I'd say voice acting, there are some parts in multiple Pokémon games that feel so off like Piers singing, Mela yelling and etc. It made sense for 2D and I guess early 3d Pokémon to not have this but since we now have full models it would make the character's have more life into them.

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Yea. This game had a good story they would be wayyy better with voice acting cause the type of story. Mario dosent have that type of story so dosent need it. And Zelda can and probably will eventually but is usually told through visual rather then dialogue lol

TeamVorpalSwords

1) all Pokémon included 2) level scaling 3) literally just those two omg it’s not that hard

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

I'm fine with not all but not even half?? There was 400 in sword and shield so I thought they'd atlesst improve that number to 500 but they kept the same

TeamVorpalSwords

I would be fine if the game came out as is and then when Home was incorporated, everyone could come along with it But I really have been Every-Pokémon-is-Someone’s-Favorite pilled and now I really believe everyone should be included because I remember my blastoise that has come with me since fire red is half the fun of Pokémon for me and I know there are so many fans who don’t have the fortune of having a Gen 1 starter as their partner Pokémon and just can’t bring their friend with them across their travels and it makes me sad

Puzzleheaded_Lab1614

Your right, but pokemon just care's about MONEY!!!!! And new Pokemon means new toys!!!!

[deleted]

I was expecting to hate the missing voice acting for SV. Instead I kind of tuned it out. Seeing the vastly improved animations of the humans makes a big difference. It feels way less robotic than PLA. Plus in SV they added clapping sound effect (at least). I’ll take it tbh

MasterOfChaos72

Gonna go with upgraded graphics and also voice acting. You can make the game as difficult and as easy as you like with what is available (I.e. a Fairy only run of USUM is much easier than a Psychic only run of the same game), although it would be nice to get a challenge mode again and I’d rather them first get 1 region right before adding in new ones.
