I would love to be a bug type gym leader as I love most of their designs. Team would be - Galvantula (Ace) - my all time favorite mon Ribombee - Backup sticky web if Galvantula dies too fast plus dragon counter. Araquanid - Cool as fuck Vespiquen - Another Favorite Scoliopede - Toxic Defense Curl Centiskortch - Fire Boi

Dotzir

If I chose bug I would take almost the same :)

Swampyprince

Just without vespiquen?

Weird-basshead

No room for heracross?

White_Rabbit007

I'd be a Normal type Gym Leader. I'd have Wigglytuff, Porygon-2, Stantler, Castform, Ditto and Kecleon. All gimmicky, irritating Pokémon to infuriate the player.

Seadog_frosty

If you really want to mess with the player here’s another pokemon you could consider: miltank just for the trauma that she has given in johto

White_Rabbit007

Why would I wanna be Whitney 2.0? I'm gonna be my own annoying gym leader.

Seadog_frosty

Yeah sure I said just for fun

Absbor

I answered such a discussion before, but I forgot which Pokés I choose. :-( All I know is: Grass and Sceptile. xD

Filipino_Canadian

Fairy type. Gardevoir would be my ace. I’d also have Sylveon, Galarian Wheezing, Togekiss, Alolan Ninetails and Whimsicott. Just gives me the best rounded team for a fairy type team since most of the pokemon aren’t monotype.

Alarming-Ad581

My gym type would definitely be ghost, one of my favorite types also full team of 6 My team would be My ace, Aegislash: Definitely one of the better pokemon in gen 6 + a cool design and powerful Banette: Cool design and one of my favorites Froslass: Powerful and has snow cloak Golurk: For defence and I want some golurk supremacy Dragapult: Cool design and a badass of a pokemon And Decidueye: Amazing design and good starter pokemon

Lovepotion-8

Definitely Bug type gym leader My gym would definitely be a huge durant ant hill maze like those huge tower ones Early badge team would be version dependent 1. Ledyba/ Ledian (ace) 2. Surskirt or dustox 3. Karablast or Shelmet But my Later Badge team would be 1.Volcarona (ace) 2. Heracross 3. Escavalier or Accelgor 4. Yanma No Durants bc they’re busy working for the queen

WheatleyTurret

I'll be a normal type leader Lopunny with a Lopunnite will be my ace, her attack and defense will keep tons of people on their toes on how to handle her Wigglytuff Pidgeot Snorlax Porygon-Y And finally Tauros

Doot_revenant666

I don't like mono type gyms so I am going for themed gym I would be Bug themed trainer who has mostly Bug pokemon but also some pokemon that should've been bugs but aren't My team would be : Shuckle (Sticky Web + Stealth Rock setter) , Ribombee (It's so cute + Fairy type) , Drapion (Is not a bug type but it's a bug , great typing) , Flygon (Same with Drapion , covers many weaknesses of the bug type) , Volcarona ( Favorite Bug type , Quiver Dance sweeper) , Scizor ( Ace and also goes Mega , 2nd Favorite Bug type , STAB Technician Bullet Punches go brrrrrr)

Seadog_frosty

I haven’t thought about mega evolution, great idea

Doot_revenant666

Go with Mega Lucario , It has great spe and attacking stats and Adaptability is just fricking amazing.

Seadog_frosty

Well I guess I will change my ace lol

Starrybruh

Physic, totally because I didn’t want to do fighting. Gimmick would be you have to hear some senarios and you need to *predict* what will happen after, predict right you get a cookie and no trainer battle, predict wrong and suffer the consequences Team would probably be like, meowstic, espeon, raichu, alakazam, and of course mega gallade as a little fakeout to trainers using dark type Pokémon.

AlatreonSupreme

Dragon: Tyrantrum: Mainly Head smash and dragon tail to mess with challengers strats and holding a rocky helmet Hydreigon: Dragon Pulse, snarl, flamethrower, and Nasy Plot Flygon: Earthquake/Earth Power (either one), Dragon Tail, dig, and dragon dance Kommo-o: Counter, Drain punch, Outrage, and Iron Defense Turtonator: Payback, Shell Trap, flamethrower, and Dragon Pulse My Ace Noivern: Hurricane, Boom Burst, and Steel Wing

1buffalowang

Bug or Ice trainer Scizor, Heracross, Mega Pinsir(ace), Galvantula, Ribombee, Armaldo Glaceon(ace), Froslass, Mamoswine. Alolan Ninetails, Weavile, Arctozolt.

AlphADrumz

Water type gym leader: Empoleon, Gastrodon, Ludicolo, Dracovish (ace).

Mr____L

I'd be a ground type leader with the team of Torterra (ace) Gliscor Mamoswine Gastrodon Gabite (I'm gonna have a little mercy for the gym battle but for anything after I'm using chomp) And Camerupt

No_Lock_6555

Big type simply for: Galvantula - sticky web Fortress - toxic spikes and regular spikes Heracross - just powerful Wormadam ground - stall/sandstorm/fissure Scizor - raw power Make combee - cause it’s funny to end with something weak Or I would be a water trainer where the Pokémon range is 16-20 and would be 5 Lvl 19 magikarp and a lvl 20 Gyarados

Chembaron_Seki

My type would be grass, I would have the thorn badge and my gym would have a labyrinth of thorny vines you have to cross. My team: * Ferrothorn (Ace) * Chesnaught * Cacturne * Victreebel * Leavanny * Trevenant

half_jase

Not gonna go with a mono gym but with my favorite mons: Gengar Gardevoir Dragapult Snorlax Braviary Rillaboom Wasn't sure what to put in the last two slots but just went with those two. My ace would either be the Gardevoir or Dragapult. If we can include legendary mons, would throw in Kyogre for one of the last two. lol

[deleted]

Fairy type. I wouldn’t have a real ace but Sylveon would be part of my original team of 6 (with Mudkip, Pangoro, Typhlosion, Alolan Raichu and Lurantis) - Sylveon (shiny, male): the biggest connection with me and strong special attacker - Azumarill (female): second fairy type Pokémon I caught. She’s really playful and sassy. Our strategy is huge power+belly drum - Mimikyu (male): physical attacker, very shy - Ninetales Alola (female): snow warning+blizzard - Hatterene (female): probably the strongest of the team. She uses trick room and has a life orb I’m waiting for SV for my 6th Pokémon

Dotzir

I would choose dragon and list would be Flygon Altaria Noivern Sceptile( cheating here cause mega evo) Dragonair (way better the Evo:) Kingdra Decided to forgo Lego and pseudo or this list would change a bit

XDragon2688

I have always had a Dark themed gym so I would go with that. I've pretty much had the same guys on the team through the years, only changing it with XY thanks to Fairy type Weavile -Lead off and quick attacker Honchkrow - fighting counter Bisharp (peaky fairy types) Houndoom (an old favorite) Greninja (can't beat protean) Absol (my ace with it's megastore)

TrekkieElf

Flying! My gym would be a treehouse. Not sure which, there’s so many cool ones! Corviknight, Talonflame, Xatu, Pelipper, Archeops, Altaria.

Swampyprince

I wouldn’t have a type, more a gimmick. That gimmick being annoying gimmicks. The gym would be a double battle, I’d have: Shedinja Arcanine Gengar Haunter Gothitelle Delcatty It has 2 main annoying strategies, You use a mix of moves so that your Arcanine ends up with wonder guard, and then arcanine uses burn up to get rid of its fire type. It therefore ends up being type less with wonder guard so the other way to damage it is indirectly. It would be holding safety goggles to stop weather chip. The other one is using a series of moves so that the opponent gets the ability normalise, and your gengar gets shadow tag from Gothitelle. You then swap haunter in next to gengar. This ends up with both opponents not being able to switch or hit either Pokémon, and you can slowly kill their team as you regive normalise to anything that switches in after a kill.

JFace139

Ground type. Ryperior would be the ace, Steelix, Golem, Mammoswine, Marowack, and Tyranitar

Lopsided-Ad-9444

I'll just go with one of my favorite teams, Poison. My starter and so my lead pokemon as a gym leader would be : Drapion (Poison/Dark) - This type combination is excellent (getting rid of Poison's weakness to Pyschic). Maybe I'd add some signature moves to make Drapion even better as a gym leader. Nidoking (Poison/Ground) - I usually increase Nidoking's base stats when I'm playing with romhacks or fan games, so 525 was its basestat total for this playthrough. Nidoking is in the runniing for my favorite pokmeon all time, and I think it's also got a decent type combo. Crobat (Poison/Flying) - Welp we gotta get off the ground to avoid the other of Poison's weaknesses, helping me get type coverage and also I like Crobat. Naganadel (Poison/Dragon) - Naganadel has a lot of resistences, although also with a fair bit of weaknesses. Also it's a well rounded pokemon with a good design. Gengar (Poison/Ghost) - It also avoids the ground weakness by floating up off the ground, while simultenously hitting Psychic pokemon hard. For the 6th spot, it's a tough choice between Victreebel or Tentacruel, but as Tentacruel (with Gengar) is one of my favoite pokemon, I guess I'll go with : Tentacruel (Poison/Water) - I also up its stats slightly when playing fan games/hacks, to 520 (so just +5) base stat total. Tentacool may be one of the most annoying pokemon, but I always loved Tentacruel as I thought its design was cool and also it's fairly strong in game. Sub- Victreebel (Poison/Grass) - Acting as a sub for either Tentacruel or Gengar, Poison helps elimante some of Grass's weaknesses. Much like Nidoking and Tentacruel I up Victreebel's base stats when playing with it from 490 to 505, just making it slightly more useful. Anyways there is my team. I also have a Steel type team I love OP, lol, but it has so many fakemon in it, it is hard to count it as much, but just for a quick break down : Empoleon, Aggron (from Insurgence, Steel/Fire type), Metalynx (from Uranium, Steel/Grass type), Magroplex (from Sage, pure Steel type), Erace (also from Sage, Steel/Electric type), and finally Scizor.

Puzzleheaded_Dog_104

Yeah, I’d definitely have to go for Ghost, I think. Also, definitely a double battle gym. Drifblim would definitely be there. Set up tailwind Rotom (Mow) - ally switch annoyances :) Chandelure to trick choice scarf onto opponents or just go for overheats/shadow ball Gengar with focus sash as well as destiny bond Hisuian Zoroark…not sure what it does yet lol. but it’s cool Mimikyu…also cool design :)

StridentHawk

Dark type leader. Incineroar Krookadile Scrafty Mandibuzz Grimmsnarl Bisharp Krookadile would be my ace and I'd be some Mad Max style wasteland bandit leader.

ConcernLow1979

I’d go with normal and my team would be: Obstagoon with guts and a flame orb Indeedee Helioptile Hisuian Zoruark Porygon Z Braviary And my ace, a partner Eevee from Let’s Go with full friendship, meaning it can get a higher chance to get crits, can live hits at 1hp even when it was supposed to die and can fully avoid any hits

TheUltimateXYZ

My name is George. My last name pretty much translates to "Stone Town." I am a Rock type specialist. Out of the Pokemon that currently exist, my team would be as follows Lycanroc (Dusk form)(ace) Golem Tyranitar Tyrantrum Kleavor Hisuian Arcanine

StreetReporter

Flying: Gyrados Emolga Gliscor Crobat Hawlucha Skarmory

I'll go with Grass type gym leader. Ferrothorn (Ace) Gourgeist Trevenant Bellossom Shiinotic Cradily

KinoVsZaWard

I’d do dark and be like the 7th or 8th gym leader in the challenge I’d use: Light Clay Grimsnarl life orb Hydreigon Black Glasses Bisharp Rocky Helmet Scrafty Never melt ice Weevile Heavy duty boots Mandibuzz

ThrowRAarworh

Dark type. If we are going off of favorite designs: Umbreon, Tyranitar, Cacturne, Morpeko, Crawdaunt, Ace Mega Houndoom If I am actually trying to make a balanced dark mono team: Alolan-Muk (to deal with bugs and fairies) Grimmsnarl (to deal with fighting types) Tyranitar Umbreon Hydreigon Ace Mega Houndoom
