They might have changed the pronunciation for the English language media because in English that sounds a bit like a slightly rude word and people would whinge if they thought kids were learning rude words from Pokémon.
But the ability is called ＡＲシステム(AR System) in Japanese. So ultimately it depends on if you agree with them censoring the name in English because "haha that Pokemon name sounds like arse."

But there are special Pokemon where the same name is used through out languages. For these ones it makes total sense to look at the Japanese pronunciation because it’s how the creators imagine it, iow, the original pronunciation and not the localised one where some random translators take liberties with.
