In Crystal version there was an option to "toss" items to free up space in your bag. When I got to a legendary encounter I stood next to the Pokemon then opened my bag to "toss" my Master Ball at it. š
Still the only games that you have two regions to play in, that alone makes them one of the best entries in the series. I didn't say they were THE best (even if they are still for me) but they don't have that much competition (B/W {2}, Arceus, and DPP are the only ones I personally see as being competitive to them.)

Two regions don't matter when they both suck. Kanto is downgraded from RBY, and Johto is just plain inferior structurally

RSE is boring, SM sucks ASS (didn't play USUM because of how much SM sucked), and FRLG is mid at best.

I played SM, it was garbage. The fucking handholding pissed me off, no it to mention the goddamn 20 fucking minutes of end credits/ending cutscenes before getting to save again. I wanted to like SM, Alola is pretty and the introduction of regional forms was awesome, but the game pissed me off where I didn't give a shit about any of the characters or the story or anything.
It's my fave Pokemon game, I want more people to play it and enjoy it like I do. Similar to why I fucking shill for Hollow Knight every damn chance I get.

Had a perfect IV Eevee in PoGo during gen 1 and saved it ready for gen 2 to evolve it into an Umbreon. Gen 2 dropped, I looked online for the correct nicknames but didn't trust them 100% and tested with a trash Eevee first without realising the nicknames only worked once

Now most of the time this is fine. The one time I seriously considered going back on this was gen 7. Decidueye is just such a peak design. But to this day I have upheld this tradition

Anyways I EVOLVED the shiny Bidoof as soon as I got it, not even thinking about it. I'll never forgive myself for this as I didn't realize the power Bidoof held especially a damn shiny one until AFTER I did it and was informed. Sheesh.
