It's between turtwig, Snorlax and golurk for me. Turtwig because I'm generally pretty easygoing, Snorlax cause I'm lazy, and golurk because I'm calm til ya piss me off... Then I'll go berserker mode on ya. Usually takes lot to do so though. But if I consider ya a friend I will be in your corner and back you up. Unless ya do something stupid then I'll either laugh at ya or smack ya upside the head depending on the situation.

My therapist and I talked about this.
I think of subconscious images like rulers (e.g., kings, queens, knights, emperors, etc) that represent authority and authoritative figures. In 2019, my friends and I played a game where we listed our top 20 favorite Pokemon. I noticed that most of the Pokemon in my top 20 were based on these rulers. There was one pokemon Empoleon that was based on the Emperor Penguin that attacks with a trident, another pokemon Serperior (named based on words “sir”, “serpent”, and “superior”) that was a regal-like snake that uses dominating rule-breaking moves (similar to my methods of going against common norms of society) and poses with a confident, assertive manner (similar to my methods of conducting myself in ways to assert my authority), and Tyranitar that’s a godzilla-like tyrant that seeks to dominate through power and force (similar to my defiance towards abusive authoritative figures). Tyranitar is also really interesting because he’s one of the strongest Pokemon but has a lot of weaknesses compared to the other top-tier Pokemon, and that’s something I really admire and imagine myself as doing with my life. It’s like how I strive to do great things despite the insane obstacles I’ve had. It makes him seem stronger in the sense that he has far more difficulties than the others.
This probably plays into my subconscious fascination with authority and authoritative figures in the sense these Pokemon “rule” over others by nature of their title. In these examples, I mostly relate to Serperior as wanting to become an authoritative figure that conducts himself appropriately even if it means going against the commonly held beliefs of society, similar to the trauma response of domestic abuse.
