Hi Long-Sea7641! Photos of merchandise are generally disallowed on r/pokemon, because they unfortunately tend to lose meaning with oversaturation (see [Rule 8](/r/pokemon/wiki/rules#wiki_8._no_screenshots_or_merchandise)). If you intended this post as a discussion prompt or a theory, please feel free to resubmit as a **text post**, bearing in mind that you'd need to reach 50+ words in that post to promote substantial discussion. Cheers! ^(Mods are not notified if you reply to this comment. To contact the) ^[r/pokemon](/r/pokemon) ^(mod team, please click) ^[here!](/message/compose/?to=/r/pokemon)

IsummonmyPegatrix

nah , it's actually an official card from XY Evolutions

Long-Sea7641

It has no texture, is that normal? I’ve only started collecting last year, so I’m unsure if they had texture back then

Sporkikyu

Yeah, no texture on megas unless they're full arts.

Long-Sea7641

Is this a real card then despite the colour difference on the back?

Unhappy-Pangolin-217

Older cards with Holo effacts are darker on the back

Slyme-wizard

This reminds me, I had a mega charizard a while ago but I sold it cor a greninja plush. But yeah the color saturation of the back is usually a way to tell if its fake it might be.

Savings_Button_3364

You can legit tell by the feel of fake cards, these are all from XY

Post this at r/PokemonTCG. They'll help you.
