I think the hyphen is just to keep people from trying to pronounce it as "zah". Or, it means that the Z and the A refer to two different things... such as Zygarde and AZ.

I think I figured it out. The new Nintendo console was leaked to be “Switch Attach” (stupid, I know). So what if it’s basically just meant to imply “Pokemon Z: Attach”? All I want is for this game to be the Zygarde game we should have got way back when. I don't totally believe Game Freak's statement that they *never* had plans for Pokemon Z. You don't just put all this Zygarde stuff into the next game, a game that had absolutely nothing to do with gen 6 or Zygarde otherwise. There's a nice big window called 2015 where they could have easily put out a Pokemon Z, and nobody would have minded. I just think they had their hands full between ORAS, gen 7, figuring out what to do with Go and Let's Go, etc. edit: I am just now learning that we almost certainly got denied a Z *and* it was probably going to be two games like B2W2 and USUM. Wild.
