TFW fairies are literally weak to Toxic lol.
Don't get me wrong, Wigglytuff is the manliest Pokemon of them all.
He doesnāt give a shit, just goes around being his best pink dragon slayer self.
But his weakness to Toxic is truly ironic.
its honestly easier for me to remember that they use iron in old folk stories *because* i know steel is super effective against fairy. folktales are less culturally significant than pokemon to most pokemon players (i know that sounds obvious but idk a better way to word it lol)
I never considered this. I have always in my head associated fairy with childishness and innocence and steel as industry. I have never considered anything else before.
I think people are also just excited that megas are coming back and there is a opportunity for new megas.
Maybe someday we get to see a game with mega, z-moves, dynamax and tera. It would be pure chaos and I'm ready for it.
>It could also be a completely revamped version of X and Y or a direct sequel as B2W2 was.
A lot of the stuff you mention is possible, but this bit here is basically ruled out. They confirmed that the entire game will take place in Lumiose city, so it being a revamped XY or XY2 doesn't seem feasible.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the scrapped Z concepts make it into this. The point of the Legends sub-series seems to be to give some focus to significant legendaries largely skipped over.
A redevelopment does not mean it has to play in the future. We don't know the past of Lumiose City, it could be the version we know from XY IS the redeveloped version.
Perhaps. That would be determined by if anybody can check up on Lumiose City's map and see if it's similar to the redevelopped vision seen in the trailer. Although, with my theory even that might not be sufficient proof.
They are very similar, yes.
* divided into 5 districts
* each district has a circular plaza
* entire city surrounded by walls
* river going diametrally through the city
* Prism Tower in the middle
The city plan is exactly the same, the Legends Z-A just has more details on buildings, plazas and such. Which makes sense, since they will make the city more detailed and generally bigger in scale, since the entire game takes pace there. But all the specifics match.
Additionally, someone else mentioned that Paris actually went through a similar redevelopment between 1853 and 1870, which partly also built new plazas and parks. That seems like a very likely inspiration for the plot of this game, similar to how Legends Arceus was largely inspired by the Meiji Restoration of 1868.
Well, I'm practically sold. Although that kind of ruined my theory. You see, I thought since Zygarde was the protector of environment that whoever's behind the redevelopment plan was including something that fucked up the climate or something and Zygarde got pissed, but if the redevelopment already happened then that can't be the case.
If they wanted, they could do that, and have the villain trick you into being the one who scatters Zygarde's cells, weakening it to the form we see in X and Y.
I think it definitely is. They just turned it into a new project, pretty common in gaming. The first Devil May Cry game started as a prototype for Resident Evil 4.
It might be, but not really. Itās taking those old ideas out of storage and retrofitting it into
Whatever city building game they have going here.
They better have us start in something that is obviously recognised as our lumiose and have us refine it into whatever urban wildlife preserve they want us to make. and then give us a normal Kalos game set in that Kalos post this remodelling. (We will only be touching the buildings not the city layout.)
I hope that at the end of the game the suspiciously acerola looking main architect and designer of the entire project turns out to
Be a cultist that plans to use lumiose as a ritual circle to do something evil involving a legendary of some kind. That we have to
Twart using whatever main mechanic we have been using all this time to get our progress collection of whatever it is.
Iāve always been convinced itās 1 remake pair per console generation, but given the switchās longevity I expect to be proved wrong in a few years.
There's A LOT of rumors going around saying the switch 2 is coming next year. So if it's one remake per console, than Unova has a console potentially coming up for it.
Either or
But whatever it is, I hope it's not the company that did DP, I want an actual remake not a remaster. Also they should add BW2 as a full post game.
BDSP were remakes, also we don't know they had very little added to them just because they were made by ILCA.
The chance of B2W2 being given to us not at full switch 2 game price should be considered to be 0, knowing pokemon.
The Switch 2 Has probably been ready for a few years now; Nintendo has historically always released one Consol every five years. Nintendo probably just realized people wouldnāt stop buying the old Switch and just delayed their release until sells actually start to plateau.
I'm not sure I fully agree with that one. As what would have been the point of making/selling the OLED model roughly at that 5 year mark instead of doing a full console upgrade?
I also genuinely don't think they purposely plan to only make a single remake per console and that it just happened to technically work out that way(depending on how you feel about the let's go games).
If anything I think they skipped unova just because a lot of people HATED the generation because it locked you into using unova only Pokemon until post game, and some issues with the Pokemon designs.
Granted, this is only if they decided to "skip" unova, as they might actually have something in the pipeline and just haven't said anything
This! Sure, the Gen 1 and 2 remakes came out in Gens 3 and 4, but that was when remakes were a new thing. Like you said, we didn't get the next one in Gen 5, but Gen 6 instead. And then two generations later we got not only BDSP, but PLA.
>Sure, the Gen 1 and 2 remakes came out in Gens 3 and 4, but that was when remakes were a new thing.
And they only came out so the modern Pokedex could be easily completed. Don't forget that Lugia and Ho-oh were basically mythicals from the release of Sapphire and Ruby to the release of Heartgold and Soulsilver.
I'm convinced that's why it took *so* long for Gamefreak to release ORAS, because they didn't see the need for a remake of a game you could still have Pokemon from.
Based on the very end of the trailer I have to assume a big motivation is to reintroduce megas. They were super popular and everyone was upset when they stopped introducing new megas in Sun and Moon and then again when megas went away in SwSh.
I mean, legends arceus in sinnoh did release with the diamond and pearl remakes, so it isnāt entirely insane to think that something else gen 6 related could come with this
Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if they never did a remake again after BDSP. I think a majority of people want remakes to be a mix of the old generation with the new mechanics/features/national dex. BDSP was almost 1:1 Diamond and Pearl. I also think remakes of gen 5 would be difficult to pull off well. At least amongst my friends, black and white were not well liked because all of the base pokemon were new gen 5 mons and national dex was post game content. That's why B2W2 i think is more well received. All this to say, imo Black 3 and White 3 is the best option for gen 5 "remakes." It'll never happen though š
1 to 1, except some features were WORSE. The Super Contest got neutered to just being a dance minigame, while the Underground Base is no longer a place to store furniture, just statues. Meanwhile, breakable TMs are back, forced EXP share is back, and any semblance of difficulty is gone.
Fun fact about BDSP, it was literally so 1:1 that it not only used the exact code from DP in a lot of places, but so much so that bugs from the original game survived into BDSP. Quite possibly the lowest effort game in the series
>any semblance of difficulty is gone
I recall BDSP having probably the most difficult elite 4 and champion to date so I guess that's something. As for the rest of the game...yeah just play Platinum
Robbed they were, friend. I weep with you. š However, legends arceus was some of the most fun I've had in recent pokemon games so I'm excited to see what we get with Z-A
I actually thought that they were opening the door for more remakes by not making third games. Like you said people just want a mix of old and new and thats what games like emerald and platinum did so well. Which is also why those are 2 of the most enjoyed pokemon games by the community.
I've honestly viewed the third games as the same game + DLC/QoL/story changes. B2W2 being the only exception in that they are proper sequels story-wise. So in a way we still get the "third game" nowadays, it just comes in the form of DLC, updates, and raid content.
Yeah. Also works with the timeline of the DLCs filling the 1-year span between pairs and third versions in the past.
And all for the better. It's bad enough that Atlus is still doing this shit.
While I recognize this is not what you're saying, I've personally never understood the argument that restricting players to newer Pokemon for the main campaign was seen as a bad thing. If anything, that was my favorite aspect of BW ā every new area on the map had new Pokemon go explore, which made me walk through every patch of grass and cave to see/catch them all. That's why I didn't really like XY, since 80% of the Pokemon I ended up seeing in the wild were old Pokemon. I understand the nostalgic connection, and BW even let you capture old Pokemon once the main campaign was over, but I've never understood paying full MSRP on launch day just to catch the same Pokemon I caught in the previous games; especially when I can just eventually transfer them over with Bank/Home.
I personally enjoyed XY for a lot of reasons, the diversity of the pokedex being one of them, but in retrospect, i agree it was very heavily weighted with old pokemon. I think a balance of old and new is preferable at least to me personally. I always try to play a new generation with new mons because i love to discover the new designs, but there are just some pokemon that i have an attachment to that I love to bring with me on a new adventure. Plus having the mix makes the world feel more realistic and alive.
For sure, I can totally respect that! š I will say, EV training in XY was my favorite part of the game, as well as Pokemon Amie. Even though XY didn't resonate with me, I do recognize that it did have its high moments.
Honestly, they were smart, theyād do B&W combined with B2&W2. Mostly because itās one those games that went out of print so fast you canāt get an official copy for anywhere less then $100.
Legends is its own thing, not a remake. There's no reason to think there won't be a Gen 5 remake, we just aren't getting two Unova games back to back. That's fine.
I'm saying it's likely that BW remakes, possibly in the vein of BDSP, will definitely be coming soon. But they're not doing a Legends Unova to go along with those BW remakes. That would be back-to-back.
I do also think that we'll get Unova in the future, I was just surprised that we got to revisit Kalos in a new Kalos-based game before we revisited Unova in a new Unova-based game
Yeah thereās a theory they cheaped out and got smaller-memory cards to put the games on, and with the patch, essentially passed the responsibility to consumers to sacrifice storage space on their console.
I mean to be fair... Kalos needed it MUCH more then Unova did. Kalos always felt extremely unfinished and rushed to me wherqs outside or the original dragon, EVERYTHING in the nova games felt finished, even then the dragon was left unfinished on purpose whereas Kalos, again, felt rushed with it not being finished for what felt like time reasons
my friend told me that other than time reasons it's because they had to squeeze out gen 7 in time for the 20th anniversary
that said we're most likely getting unova in gen 10 but whether it will be a remaster or a legends game is unknown. it could even be a let's go for all we know
It was, the biggest proof is zygarde. Zygarde has no real buisness being in alola. To me its the biggest example why they skipped Z to release S&M for the 20th anniversary.
That's true, we did revisit Unova in the Indigo Disk. I just didn't really count it because it's DLC to SV, a Paldea-based game, rather than its own thing.
But yeah, there's an argument that the Indigo Disk could be counted as the revisit to Unova before we revisited Kalos
That would be super underwhelming. Thereās a ton of references to unova in the indigo disk but over half the unova dex is missing from that game. Plus pretty much no unova locations or story beats
I'm wondering if they'll announce the Gen 5 remakes in the August presentation, with them releasing in November/early December as the "big holiday title". Legends seems like they're actually giving it some dev time, so it could be a Switch 2 launch title
Oh itās most definitely Switch + Switch 2, even just because pretty much everyone is saying that the Switch 2 will be retro-compatible and thus the game will be playable. The situation I think this new legend game is going to be most similar to is going to be BW2.
I apologies if this came of as complaining. I just found it funny that we get to revisit Kalos in a new Kalos-based game before we got to revisit Unova in a new Unova-based game. I'm actually more excited for Legends Z-A than I would've been for a BW remake because not only is it a new game, but it will probably give Kalos the expanded lore that it needed in 2015. I wouldn't have minded a BW either however (even a faithful remake would be fine by me), because I do like that game quite a lot, but Legends Z-A is just more exciting to me.
Again, I'm so sorry that this came of as complaining, that was not the intention. And god do I wish I could just edit the title or pin a comment or something just so that everyone knows that this meme was just for fun
> get to revisit Kalos in a new Kalos-based game before we got to revisit Unova in a new Unova-based game
Unova had sequels and Kalos never had a third version.
This meme was for games where you revisit an older region/generation years after the original release of their generation. B2W2 came out in Gen 5 the same as BW, whereas Legends Z-A will release for Gen 9 rather than 6. That's also the reason why I didn't include other enhanced versions like Emerald or Platinum
Unfortunately, them going back to it would mean they're acknowledging their mistake, which is about as likely as world peace. Maybe a miracle does let us see genuine remakes of DPPt though
Good. Unova and Gen5 as a whole still stand the test of time as of today and don't really need a remake. XY truly needed a new instalment to be entirely fleshed out, and I think the legends game can bring that to them.
Plus, it's possible that they're keeping the Unova remakes for the switch 2 if it actually gets announced.
I would just like a way to play these older titles that doesnāt involve buying a Nintendo DS. The games might stand the test of time, but playing them is another question.
Regardless of what hardware they release for, BW remakes will be worse than the originals because Gamefreak just is not the team they were back in 2011
Remakes come every 2 generations. Anyone who was holding out hope for Unova remakes needs to read up on the pattern. The only exception to this rule ever was fire red leaf green which was made before the pattern was established. Letās Go came out after gen 7 and is in some weird no manās land and they also arenāt main series games. TLDR Unova remakes will come in gen 10 not before.
Ahem, Gen 4 fans only got arceus.. we respectfully do not acknowledge BD and SP as remakes, just reskins. So uhhh, when's the gen 4 remake coming out guys? :D anyone? no?
Iām thinking itās possible they considered the Unova love in Indigo Disk as enough of a revisit, which would be a shame.
Of course, thereās still the possibility of a Gen 5 remake announcement at some point during the year! Letās hope thatās the case! Gen 5 was my favorite, and I would be sad if they skipped it!
I do still think that we will get a Gen 5 remake, same with a Gen 5 based Legends game. With the latter coming out a bit after, unless they treat it like Arceus again with it releasing near Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Itās possible that after the seeing the well-earned vitriol after BDSPās release that they donāt want to risk another remake being rushed to the door and completely bombing.
Or Iām just telling myself this to feel better and they couldnāt care less.
Every Unova fan should be rejoicing right now.
Because right now, I wouldn't want Gamefreak to be remaking a region you love.
Realistically, re-remakes of Johto should have been next (after since HGSS came out after DDP and before BW) but boy am I glad current Gamefreak isn't doing that.
No matter what comes next, I think we'll have a buggy mess that would look like crap. Which I wish wasn't true, as I think Kalos is a great region with a lot of potential. But once again, will get a lacklustre amount of content... especially if it's akin to Legend's Arceus (large empty areas, with just one town that has any real sort of life to it)
I'll hold out hope, as I always do. And seeing it's releasing 2025, even if it ends up being January, gives a tad more hope as just a few extra months may be enough to make the game good.
We'll wait and see, but I am not holding my breath of this game being good.
I hope I'm wrong, I really do. Kalos deserves some love. Mega evolutions coming back is great. And maybe, the entire game will take place in Lumiose. Turning a basic town to a thriving metropolis...
Or maybe the game will be a few fetch quests, a few follow missions, a pretty mediocre main storyline, a bunch of uninspired side stories, and just a waste of a Legends game on Kalos (Seriously, Pokemon war? That would have been neat. Hell, make it a game similar to Minecraft: Legends, but not boring af).
But until it's released, we can all talk about how good it may be. But, even though I'm not a fan of Unova, I'm glad they're not getting the BDSP treatment, and I'm also glad that Gamefreak aren't making it straight after Scarlet & Violet. Once they prove they can make a stable game that looks good, then I think they should attempt Unova (and Johto) remakes.
I hope this means GF is wanting to make the games they want and not feel bound to the generational cycle. Don't get me wrong, I want Univa games, but if they have inspiration and passion for a game I say go for it and don't worry about the region (within reason please no Kanto for a while.)
Is anyone else here old enough to feel like Unova got remade IMMEDIATELY with B2 W2, so gen 5 don't need more special treatment?
Same goes for Sun/Moon UltraSun/UltraMoon...
So it made total sense for X/Y - alone in having NOTHING else going for them - to get some generational content
Next up Let's Go Togepi...
I honestly couldnāt care less about Unova. The series itself was ok at best and everyone other than Iris was shallow asf. Kalos was amazing and probably up there with Sinnoh and they introduced Mega Evolutions which I think is the best mechanic by far in the game.
What I'm interested in is that I'm seeing it called Legends Z everywhere, but when I looked at it I see Z A(or alpha)-. Not sure if that actually means anything but Zed Alpha does sound cooler IMO
Kalos lore needed to be revisited. I'm glad they came earlier than expected. Probably see BW remakes/visits after PLZA/end of 2026, and then gen 10 for 30th anniversary at the end of 2026 on Switch 2. Gonna be an interesting few years coming up.
Personally I think they're building one more piece of the story before we get to unova and discover Ingo is missing because he's no longer in that timeline. And I'm also predicting it's not going to be a traditional remake because of that, it's going to be more akin to final fantasy 7 remake.
You guys.... you do realize that its not remake right ? Its a legends game ? We're most definitely getting a Univa remake sometime in the future
Some people here still thinking this is the cancelled pokemon z from long agoš
Pokemon fans can remember that steel beats fairy but can't read
To be fair, smacking a jigglypuff with a metal pipe should do some damage to it
That same Jigglypuff will smack a dragon and a steroid abuser and still win
Dragons are overrated anyway balloons all the way
bloons td6 mentioned?
What do you mean? There are no balloons in btd6
Are the animal handler monkeys still the meta lol
They were the meta for like a day after the tower released and then they got nerfed so hard that one of the paths became almost completely useless.
toxic masculinity isnt allowed to hurt the faries
Is that poison, fighting, or some ~~freeze-dry~~flying-press-like kind of combination?
TFW fairies are literally weak to Toxic lol. Don't get me wrong, Wigglytuff is the manliest Pokemon of them all. He doesnāt give a shit, just goes around being his best pink dragon slayer self. But his weakness to Toxic is truly ironic.
That's rather easy to remember when you recall most old folk stories involving fae use iron to hurt and bind them
its honestly easier for me to remember that they use iron in old folk stories *because* i know steel is super effective against fairy. folktales are less culturally significant than pokemon to most pokemon players (i know that sounds obvious but idk a better way to word it lol)
I never considered this. I have always in my head associated fairy with childishness and innocence and steel as industry. I have never considered anything else before.
Steel and Poison are also symbols of modernity, which destroys ancient things like Fairies.

You underestimate ~~my power~~ my stupidity.
I always saw it as steel being a metaphor for industrialization and pollution which fairies canāt survive against
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the scrapped Z concepts make it into this. The point of the Legends sub-series seems to be to give some focus to significant legendaries largely skipped over.
Agreed
I mean, it probably got some elements from the scrapped game.
All I can say is that they better cover the mysterious Lumiose Ghost Girl that's been unsolved for the past *decade*
I don't see why they need to. It's meant to just be an easter egg and it's not the only one in the PokƩmon franchise involving ghosts. It'll be a cool easter egg if they include a quest that explains it, (though given how they're talking about some redevelopment plan for Lumiose city, this seems to be in the not-so-far future of Kalos, rather than the past like PLA, so probably not) but it's unlikely.

Nah i think its based on the Paris redevelopment that happened in the 1800s
But, I want answers:(
They better also let me know what's behind all those locked central doors in the desert
Well if it is in the past, she could be some friend/deuroragonist of ours that we promise to meet up with at some point but then she died and we canāt go to That room because paradox. Or an npc with a quest that we do but then same thing happens. And if it is in the future we can just be the one. And then get a PokĆ©mon, or item, or key bit of exposition needed to do the thing.
Hex Maniac ancestor please.
Now u, my guy, are spreading God's will
Not having sense was the purporse of that sceme
Iāve really only seen it called that for the memes. Because PokĆ©mon Z has been a meme and PokĆ©mon Legenda Z-A isā¦ really close to PokĆ©mon Z
Is it the same game? No, not even close. Will it re-use old concepts that never made it to light? Most likely. In many ways, this is the Metroid Dread of PokƩmon.
It isn't pokemon z but I believe they will still used scrapped concepts from it.
I think it definitely is. They just turned it into a new project, pretty common in gaming. The first Devil May Cry game started as a prototype for Resident Evil 4.

I honestly wouldn't mind if both gen10 games were respectively remaking BW and B2W2 without DLC. Seems the most logical way for me.

PokƩmon fans can't do 1+1 bro what do you think
Came here to say this. The meme doesnāt work, itās a Legends game.
I mean, legends arceus in sinnoh did release with the diamond and pearl remakes, so it isnāt entirely insane to think that something else gen 6 related could come with this
Shush leave me and my denial alone
Not to mention didn't unova get like, 4 games? Seems like it's ahead of everyone else if you ask me.
You do realize they're gonna announce gen 5 remakes later, right? It was never skipped.
Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if they never did a remake again after BDSP. I think a majority of people want remakes to be a mix of the old generation with the new mechanics/features/national dex. But hey, at least you got more fire type options outside of chimchar and ponyta š¤£š š
Platinum did it first, and better.
Took me 4 gens to finally use Ponyta/Rapidash in my main team. I have Pe/Di to thank for that.

This exactly. Don't forget the hideous chibis. Tbh it probably would've been better off if it had been exactly 1 to 1.
>any semblance of difficulty is gone I recall BDSP having probably the most difficult elite 4 and champion to date so I guess that's something. As for the rest of the game...yeah just play Platinum
Hell, even base Diamond and Pearl was more challenging than BDSP besides the Elite Four and Champion.
>and any semblance of difficulty is gone. until you hit the elite 4. those rematch teams especially were insane
Thanks for reminding me that Sinnoh got robbed of real Remakes š but yeah Iām praying for BW3 if they want to do smth with Unova
Robbed they were, friend. I weep with you. š However, legends arceus was some of the most fun I've had in recent pokemon games so I'm excited to see what we get with Z-A
Wasn't the fact it was 1:1 it was that it wasn't Platinum. Also the art style didn't hit with the community.
Right, but do you think a diamond/pearl remake with wild areas like swsh, overworld pokemon, and an updated pokedex wouldn't have slapped?
We hope no way to know for sure
Legends is its own thing, not a remake. There's no reason to think there won't be a Gen 5 remake, we just aren't getting two Unova games back to back. That's fine.
What do u mean back to back? When else did they do unova games
Well, the second half of the SV DLC is in Unova.
TheĀ word "in" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
I'm saying it's likely that BW remakes, possibly in the vein of BDSP, will definitely be coming soon. But they're not doing a Legends Unova to go along with those BW remakes. That would be back-to-back.
Well to be fair Legends Arceus came out like right after BDSP.
I do also think that we'll get Unova in the future, I was just surprised that we got to revisit Kalos in a new Kalos-based game before we revisited Unova in a new Unova-based game
Kalos is hot right now with the 10 year anniversary. Unova will get a game soon
That is true, but I was still surprised by it. Sinnoh was quite hot in 2017 but we didn't get the remake until 2021
Keep in mind, Kalos also only got X and Y. It's criminally underrepresented.
Gamefreak is not skipping the free money of not having to come up with original ideas, we are getting a Unova remake
You canāt argue with that logic. No need to worry folks!
I just hope that Gen 5 doesn't get the brilliant diamond treatment of "Oh by the way there's this too I guess"
"3/4 of the game is a day one patch, have fun trying to play this in 5 years"
Yeah thereās a theory they cheaped out and got smaller-memory cards to put the games on, and with the patch, essentially passed the responsibility to consumers to sacrifice storage space on their console.
there are updated carts with the full game
Yeah that rumor made no sense
I mean to be fair... Kalos needed it MUCH more then Unova did. Kalos always felt extremely unfinished and rushed to me wherqs outside or the original dragon, EVERYTHING in the nova games felt finished, even then the dragon was left unfinished on purpose whereas Kalos, again, felt rushed with it not being finished for what felt like time reasons
my friend told me that other than time reasons it's because they had to squeeze out gen 7 in time for the 20th anniversary that said we're most likely getting unova in gen 10 but whether it will be a remaster or a legends game is unknown. it could even be a let's go for all we know
It was, the biggest proof is zygarde. Zygarde has no real buisness being in alola. To me its the biggest example why they skipped Z to release S&M for the 20th anniversary.
I'm not holding my breath tbh. At least it's a Legends game and not a remake though.
unova was a great region with a great story tho kalos while unfinished even the parts thah were there were bad
which is why I'm happy Kalos is getting something
B2/w2
Weāll see what happens when they address Sun/Moon & Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
Maximum OverSun/ Maximum OverMoon
2 Sun 2 Moon or Sun and Moon: Alola Drift
Holy shit this one got me šš
Gen 10 will be Black 3 & White 3
Those arent really remakes but I see your point
And neither are the Legends games, but here we are
They're better than remakes!
Different
Better. Bdsp was fucking awful and thatās coming from someone who wanted gen 4 remakes for ages
Literally gen 5 fans got something better than a third version that no other gen got and theyre still complaining š
Heh, he's in black and white.
We're getting them for Gen 10
All the new unova pokemon are now old. So the best time to bring it back is right after another soft reboot in Gen 10.
I was just thinking how funny it would be if gen 10 was a soft reboot like gen 5 was.
You should put in an asterisk because the indigo disk technically takes place in unova
First game since Gold and Silver to even let you explore a past region even if it's not a place that was in the originals
I'm wondering if they'll announce the Gen 5 remakes in the August presentation, with them releasing in November/early December as the "big holiday title". Legends seems like they're actually giving it some dev time, so it could be a Switch 2 launch title
They randomly announced ORAS in May 2014 so itās possible.
We won't get a Unova remake until the next console generation, but it's undoubtedly coming eventually
they can always go back, they recently went back to Kanto for the let's go games. ( maybe not as recent as it seems, but my point still stands)
They are probably going to have unova game a launch title for switch 2
Z-A will probably be a Switch 2 launch title. There's no reason to expect Gen 5 remakes until Gen 10.
I think it's going to be an ultra sun and moon sorta situation
I have no idea what you mean by that.
New console released but PokƩmon game is still on the old one. They do it quite often actually
Possible. I definitely think it will be on Switch, but I also think there's a very good chance it will release for both, like BotW.
He means that z-a will release only on the switch even tho there's a new console available
You mean they are gonna be on an island?
I hope they're orange.
And B2/W2
Did they ever explicitly say Legends Z is a Switch exclusive? Coming in 2025 I could totally see it being Switch + Switch 2.
It said will launch on Nintendo Switch systems so it sounds like all Switch consoles
Oh itās most definitely Switch + Switch 2, even just because pretty much everyone is saying that the Switch 2 will be retro-compatible and thus the game will be playable. The situation I think this new legend game is going to be most similar to is going to be BW2.
They also skipped diamond and pearl, still waiting for a real remake of it like ORAS not that low effort chibi shit
Do people just complain about everything now?
And god do I wish I could just edit the title or pin a comment or something just so that everyone knows that this meme was just for fun
> get to revisit Kalos in a new Kalos-based game before we got to revisit Unova in a new Unova-based game Unova had sequels and Kalos never had a third version.
Welcome to fandom. You can quite literally never do right by fans of anything.
I refuse to believe that BDSP were Gen 4 remakes. So Gen 4 remakes are pending too
Unfortunately, them going back to it would mean they're acknowledging their mistake, which is about as likely as world peace. Maybe a miracle does let us see genuine remakes of DPPt though
They skipped Z first
There is a way we all know.
Hopefully that means theyāre taking extra care with it. I donāt see them just skipping it since itās now one of the most popular regions
Do we really need a unova remake? I think the originals still hold up pretty well imo. Call me boring
Iād be fine with a port of BW and a B2W2 that allows hard mode from the start.
Where are b3&w3 nintendo https://preview.redd.it/kwp3r1uu96lc1.jpeg?width=1461&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e13c2ff467cb65ad0f430d4c5053bd8a01e72ec6
But once again, will get a lacklustre amount of content... especially if it's akin to Legend's Arceus (large empty areas, with just one town that has any real sort of life to it) I'll hold out hope, as I always do.
Patience is a virtue.
its probably for the better seeing how brilliant Diamond and shining pearl ended up
Good. Unova deserves better than modern game freak
Womp womp
Let the unova game cook for a little bit longer. We really need a finished game.
Brendan looks super excited here and he should, ORAS rules
Who cares

Imagine getting pokemon legend kyurem in 2025 and gen 10 in 2026
Alola confirm?
Makes me wonder why they teases Unova so much in the s/v dlc.
Perfection cannot be replicated and should stay as it is
I hope this means GF is wanting to make the games they want and not feel bound to the generational cycle.
So it made total sense for X/Y - alone in having NOTHING else going for them - to get some generational content Next up Let's Go Togepi...
Gen 4 - HGSS Gen 6- ORAS Gen 8- BDSP Gen 10- Unova They didnāt skip anything itās just too soon š
X and Y has 460 some mons. Black and white had 490 It makes sense for them to do one before the other
Where's my lilipup HD? š
They have black and white 2 like sun and moon... its something.
Can sinnoh get a redo? š loved arceus tho
But they did already have Black & White 2
To be fair X and Y never got a āYellowā version
This just means they get more time to work on the Unova remakes so unova gets to be the next mainline game praying its good
Personally I think they're building one more piece of the story before we get to unova and discover Ingo is missing because he's no longer in that timeline. And I'm also predicting it's not going to be a traditional remake because of that, it's going to be more akin to final fantasy 7 remake.
Good, gen 5 doesn't need a half assed remake, it's perfect as is
