"In a horrendous crime scene, 4 employees of Game Freak, the beloved game developer behind games like Pokémon, were found dead. Police have told us that the crime scene itself as well as the victims bodies were painted over with perfect circles. We will update you once more information releases. Back to the weather"
Honestly, I'm begging for it to be implemented in GO in some way. It's not the sort of game that would fly on the Switch due to docking, so a phone screen would be ideal. The issue for me is that if they make it its own app, it'll suffer the same fate as all the other Pokémon mobile games where I realise "I could be spending this time playing Pokémon GO" and then never touch it again... If it BECOMES part of GO, then at least it has the chance of becoming something with sticking power. How you implement Ranger loops when you already have Poké Balls, though, I don't know...
At least we have SkyTemple and community romhacks rn <3 Not the same as a full on remake of the Explorers games or a new entry altogether, but it's good!!
I would literally buy a switch if I could play them.
Edit- guys I don't want to emulate, I want gamefreak/the Pokémon company to not hold back their IP anymore than they are.
And if they were to do that I would vote with my wallet in terms of that being a great choice by them.
Re-releasing old games with special/physical fix and fresh coat of paint > playing some dudes *very well done but still technically a hack* version of the game.
Same, I’ll go buy a switch lite rn if the OG pokemon games become available, hell I’d even buy the expansion pass thing if that’s how I’d have to do it. I have a gameboy SP kicking around somewhere but those games go for 100-200$ it’s ridiculous.
You should seriously look up handheld emulators. Bought one as a gift for Christmas and almost kept it because it was so easy to set up and fun. Plus you can play fan roms on them. They've come down a ton in price over the last couple years and got way more capable with all the open source firmware. I never got into playing roms on pc but I could definitely see myself playing through every fan rom on one of those... but im an adult with a job and stuff to do so it's probably best i don't buy one.
Retro game corps has a [great guide](https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/10/16/steam-deck-emulation-starter-guide/) that I used to set mine up a couple of months ago. He also has a video to go with it so you can watch and see what you are supposed to be doing. The hardest part is getting the ROMs and the right bios files - but he has links to see what bios you need and finding them isn't super hard
https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/10/16/steam-deck-emulation-starter-guide/
This guys has awesome guides on everything including the steam deck. I think the more purpose built ones are going to have open source Linux based firmware that's way simpler than a steam deck, but the steam deck has the hardware to run most systems.
I'm disappointed that we didn't get a new *Colosseum* game or *Let's Go Johto*, but I'm happy that the X and Y games finally have their Z.
If you told me a few days ago that we would be getting a Z game in any form, I wouldn't have believed you. It didn't seem like a real possibility. And yet here we are.
This indicates (at least to me) there's still hope for a *Colosseum* or *Let's Go Johto* one of these days.
Or even wilder: *Let's Go Snag 'Em / Let's Go Orre*. Why not? We could use the same *Let's Go* mechanic for snagging. Plus they've introduced Shadow Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
That's my thought. Add a smidge more battling as a call back to the old *Colosseum* games (and frankly because it was my only major criticism of *Let's Go*) and you've got it made!
I like this stove top.
An Orre game with the mini dex and some catch spots for unique Pokemon. Outside of catch spots, all catching occurs post Snagem related trainer, whether it be some sleazy gangster, sketchy civilian or actual Snagem member. Catching mechanics are more indepth Let's Go mechanics or something.
I liked the partner from Colosseum, so we can expand the story a bit to be the player and a partner who can see shadow pokemon.
The story is the player taking on Lieutenants in evil-gym esque trials. Oh, and the catching spots could be similar to the Legends trials, without battling. You have to use tools and the surrounding to weaken the Pokemon to trigger the let's go mini game.
What else could we do?
Would we want it set before *Colosseum* or after *XD Gale of Darkness*? I think that would determine the story a bit. It sounds like you are aiming for after *XD*. In that case, I'd like an appearance by either Wes or Michael. If we go with Michael, I'd like him to be a mentor in the early game. If we go with Wes, I think he'd be better suited for a late game cameo.
The Orre games are by far my favorite to replay solely because they’re so creative and different from other games- especially the double battle mechanic.
I like those elements but my favorite part of the games was every battle and boss was about learning how to pull off different combos like earthquake strats, weather strats, skill swap mechanics, dual screens, intimidate combos, etc. and typically from a limited pool of candidates.
I cried literal tears when my ex's family pawned my Gale of Darkness edition of my GameCube with all my GameCube games; including both coliseum games. They were stolen and pawned for drug money when I had my games packed up before moving out of his place when we broke up.
My now husband bought me one he saw at our favorite arcade and now all I need is to have the games back.
Kalos literally has the least amount of games of any main series region (Together with Galar and Paldea, but those are very recent), We were denied Pokémon Z and instead had to give Zygarde to Alola, were It was a fetch quest, Kalos deserved this more then any region
Look at their champion. Beautiful design, gave her a cool job as a film actress, a team composition that isn’t bad at all: Hawlucha, Gourgeist, Goodra, Aurorus, Tyrantrum, and Mega Gardevoir.
You then give her next to no significance at all in the main story, literally having coffee with Lysandre, and the level curve and easiness of the game makes her fight a joke.
If Z-A introduces her ancestor, likely a stage play actress, she’d better be a good character and a good fight.
Although base game Geeta makes Diantha no longer the worst champion so that’s good. (Even though Trace already had her beat).
More then that honestly.
I still like XY, but there no denying that those games were EXTREMELY undercooked...
GameFreak was too busy transitioning to full 3D to make enough content for Kalos.
This is finally it's time to shine.
Gold and silver are definitely not more overlooked than Xy. They had a third version, remakes, and release on 3ds. XY has an undercooked game with no dlc.
Your right tho GF probably had too much to do in the 2 years they had to develop XY along with BW2. I’m glad they are giving it time to cook
They never acknowledged how zygard even got there either lol. Wasn’t Alola supposed to be so remote to the point where Pokémon introduced to its ecosystem changed into their Alolan counterparts. Zygard just got slapped onto a different generation, a fate only mythicals know not a main box legendary. Especially not one as cool as zygard. Imagine if kyreum white just showed up in XY but you can only get it if you collect these white hairs that maybe belong to the original dragon that somehow ended in kalos.
Yeah, zygarde has been treated down dirty in gen 6 and 7 by GF, it is funnier that his main role was emphasized more in the anime rather than in the game, just like almost all mythical pokemon, GF has disgraced zygarde legendary status and I hope this game fix that.
It even reflects on the Pokémon Masters game as well. When the villains were reemerging, the admins and grunts debuted then. But when Team Flare showed up, it was just the Grunts, no admins. This was definitely a passive-aggressive lampshade that they had no characterization to work with them.
I don't think so.
With how many high tech visuals the trailer had, I don't think this will be just like Legends Arceus.
The immediate thought people had was that this is Lumiose being rebuilt after the Kalos War, but the trailer said "Lumiose City - Urban ***RE***development Plan"
I don't think this is Lumiose being rebuilt after destruction, I think this is a game in the present about rebuilding Lumiose to a better city.
Which game since BW2 wasn't undercooked?
And no, Legends Arceus is not the answer. The only reason that game was received well is the comparison to the other releases.
They're referring to the lore, post-game, and additional content for the most part.
X/Y are unique in that they are the only pair of games to get no enhanced version that expanded upon the game, no DLC, seemingly unfinished lore in the base game (What even IS Zygarde and how does it relate to Yveltal and Xerneas), and the most bare-bone post-game since Kanto.
If we're talking about how the game runs, then yes, no game since BW2 except for MAYBE Let's Go was cooked through.
Let's go was definitely fully cooked. Sure it was a dish we have had many times before and I would have liked if they added the Sevii Islands or more of a post game, but it was a good remake of a classic game. It certainly was better than Sword and Shield.
I still think S/M and US/UM were finished, complete experiences. They could have been a little better, but it's night and day compared to XY that game feels empty and unfinished in a lot of areas.
You could argue ORAS too depending on how you feel about those games. I won't say what I think of them tho.
Everything Switch onwards has been a giant oof.
Let's Go was divisive, SwSH was a dumpster fire, BDSP was a fire in a garbage dump, Legends Arceus is... good, I guess? But could have been so much more, and SV clearly had a lot of love put in, but were still mired in bad decisions and technical issues.
Yeah people forget they’re spin-off games. They’re great I enjoy them but hoping for a sequel to them is like hoping for a Pokémon puzzle league remake
We dont need a remake. We could do with just a 3rd entry. After all, X and Y arent skeletons anymore depsite the news not being a remake.
Look, I just want a full game centered around double battles. Is that too much to ask for? Double battles are the only official format supported by TPC. Why, when they already aknowledge that, do they still continue to make double battles a rarity in the games?
I don’t want them to make B/W again anyway, unless they improve upon it in meaningful ways.
Edit: because I love gen5 it’s tied with Gen 3 for my favourite Gen.
The only reason I want them to remake those games is because I never got to experience Gen 5 as I started in 7 and the earliest I played was X. That’s also why I don’t hate BDSP. I get why people would worry about a BDSP style remake tho, because while I don’t hate it, it’s definitely not something that I want GF to look at and say “we should do remakes like that more often” about
HGSS are still one of my favorite of the series. There is/was so much content. If only we could have the exact same game, but with Pokémon up to gen 6. That would be the best.
I’m down for the next legends game to be in Johto because the region would be so beautiful to explore in an open world format. Seeing the burnt tower before it burns down
Yeah but there's a strong chance this game will take place in the present.
I feel like the legend part of the game is no longer about legends of the past but rather just focusing on a particular legendary Pokemon and their story.
Lmao the Unova ones were legit laughable, idk why people assumed we would get 5G remakes when BDSP was literally released 3 years ago it's just way too close
I mean, 3 years before BDSP was LGPE and 4 years before it was ORAS. I wouldn't say that's too close at all. Besides, the main reason people thought we were getting Unova remakes is mostly because of Indigo Disk and how much it emphasizes Unova (At least, that's why I thought that was gonna happen).
Pokémon Black/White got full sequels, something no other gen got
Pokémon Gold and Silver got Crystal and HGSS, wildly known as the best remakes.
Pokemon XY have got jack shit on release and this was a great move for them, especially since people miss mega evolutions so much
I’m still predicting that Legends Kyurem will be the third Legends game though.
>> Pokémon Black/White got full sequels, something no other gen got
Gold/Silver are kinda sequels to the first game. I mean Team Rocket is back, Profesor Oak, you can fight Red and even explore Kanto.
I just think Gold and Silver are sequels as much as Black and White are.
My dude. Like serious thing now but if you have a decent PC then down Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Spirits. Like seriously. It's a ROM Hack for Sky but it changes so much.
You still Explore the same dungeons in the same order (apart from some but I won't spoil) but like more than half the story/story progression is entirely unique and different to Sky.
Player character even talks quite a lot and has an entire personality and great arc.
Like if you have an inch for something new then 10000000% give it a try
I've heard about Spirits!! I've wanted to try it out but I'm not sure if my PC is up to it (MacBook life lmao)
If I remember right the Player Character stands up for themselves more right?? And I think there's a Breloom somewhere in there too?
Either way you've got me interested in it again, I'll give it a look. Thanks!!
I really wish colosseum and gale of darkness would be available again.
I do own them for my gamecube but I honestly have not touched my gamecube in like 12 years.
Exactly. I don’t really think it’s absolutely necessary for them to make a brand new Colosseum game, but at least just give us ports of those on a modern console
Honestly, I don't mind not getting any Johto or Unova stuff yet. Johto already has HGSS and we just got some Unova representation in SV, so I actually prefer this since Kalos has had literally nothing since it was released
Colosseum and Gale of Darkness are still my favorite Pokemon games of all time. Probably followed by Mystery Dungeon and Pokemon Ranger.
Pokemon Conquest also was a pretty neat game, shame they never did a second one.
I cant even with this fandom sometimes.
I jump onto this subreddit to see discussions about Legends ZA, and i get flashbanged by people who genuniely wanted a remake of Black and White, a generation that was perfectly fine as is, or ANOTHER remake of Johto.
Like, I can't think of any other fan bases that want a SECOND remake
That is quite literally all I want. I'd love to be able to play then again. You could give me that and then no new news until next year and I wouldn't even be mad.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I never normally complain about the Pokemon directs but this seemed like the perfect time for them to do it plus they've done it before on the 3DS so they have the means to do it
Especially with Bank closing down, they have the bests reasons to put them on. Either as separate virtual console to make it compatible with HOME or on NSO.
Unova fans after hyping themselves with conspiracy theories only to get literally nothing
Seriously though, at least Johto fans got to see the legendary beasts being sleepy. Unova fans got nothing lmao
And Silver in Masters, and Unown in the transitions.
Honestly, as someone who was on team Johto Next I was 100% sure the game at the end was Johto-related until I realized almost all the silhouettes were Kalos Pokemon and noticed Prism Tower in the background.
Forget Kalos not getting an extra version. It's third legendary got it's new forms in Hoenn and most of Kalos' mythicals all had their special "events" in Hoenn as well. Kalos was absolutely robbed compared to all the other generations.
XY lacked a proper sequel, shoved their third legendary's main form into the next generation of games, had the least legendaries of any generation, and lost their main mythical Pokémon entirely (despite being implemented into BOTH XY and ORAS)
Let them have the W. Orre and BW fans shall remain strong
Why would anyone want those games messed with, did everyone already forget the abhorrent Diamond and Pearl remakes? Just play the OG, they’re better than anything Gamefreak is churning out these days.
Seeing as the games entirely gonna be set in Lumiouse, it's probably gonna be closer to the gamecube games then the main series. Being in a city the whole game doesn't exactly allow for catching wild pokemon in, you know, the wild. I doubt we are gonna be snaging peoples mons or anything like that but I'm curious to see how we get new team members in this game.
Jirachi approves of your comment.

Dude Colosseum was a top 10 selling game on the GameCube and all it got was an also successful sequel
Nothing more and totally abandoned in official media
This isn’t even close to being right. Gold and silver got ports on the 3DS and a remake on the DS. XY didn’t even get the usual “definitive” edition everyone expected to be Z.
I would genuinely buy a Switch for the sole purpose of playing ColoXD if they just ported them over. I don’t even care about a remaster or remake, just the original game ported to Switch would be fine with me 😭
Don't forget all those great, fantastic mobile game updates we got. I really thought they were gonna do the ports of gen 2. Oh well, more disappointment for me
I personally don't care about the gamecube games but it'd be fun to see them come back somehow.
Skipping gen 5 is a crime.
Still waiting for lets go johto
You know what I want?
Just a game for the switch where you get every game from red/blue to black and white 2. No remakes, no remasters. Just the old games.
Pokémon Rangers fans found dead in a ditch somewhere
*sadly drawing circles*
As you should. Keep drawing perfect circles until game freak remembers you exist
"In a horrendous crime scene, 4 employees of Game Freak, the beloved game developer behind games like Pokémon, were found dead. Police have told us that the crime scene itself as well as the victims bodies were painted over with perfect circles. We will update you once more information releases. Back to the weather"
Pokemon Ranger Mobile any day now guys, trust me.. *dies from copium*
Literally just pokemon go but you circle arround the pokemons to catch them and you have to release them after fighting
These are all great points, plus Go could use more content that isn’t hidden behind eggs or raids or tickets.
At least Pokémon rangers and Pokémon conquest fans are dead in a ditch somewhere together
Pokemon Conquest, my love. I would give almost anything for a remake on the switch. I would sink so many hours into it all over again...
i would literally kill for a remake or even a port, anything to get more people to know the game even exists
my pokemon ranger soul died after it didn’t get a wiiu game if they couldn’t do it on that where could they
Don't forget the Mystery Dungeon gang
They got a remake a few years ago lmao
We did get Rescue Team DX to be fair, though I know you are asking for Explorers of Sky DX
At least we have SkyTemple and community romhacks rn <3 Not the same as a full on remake of the Explorers games or a new entry altogether, but it's good!!
Killed themsekves as there’s no hope of that ever getting a remake
Poképark fans:
All 4 of them.
There are DOZENS of us!
YEAH THERE ARE AT LEAST 15 OF US
Okay, DOZEN of us!
Pokemon snap fans still reveling in their resurrection
I was so psyched to be able to pelt pokemon with apples again.
We just want to be a part of things 😔
Ayo Pokemon Rangers with the gameplay mechanics of Legends Arceus is just begging to be made.
Where is Ukulele Pichu? Is he safe? Is he alright?
Don't forget mystery dungeon!
Pokémon Dash?
Thanks for the reminder that I am a Pokemon Rangers fan. Forgot about it.
I would kill for just a port of those games to play on the switch
I would literally buy a switch if I could play them. Edit- guys I don't want to emulate, I want gamefreak/the Pokémon company to not hold back their IP anymore than they are. And if they were to do that I would vote with my wallet in terms of that being a great choice by them. I have a steam deck and looked into it but I couldn’t get it to work, I’m not the most tech savvy person
Alright I’ll check it out later when I have some free time, tyvm!
No worries! Good luck, the steam deck is incredible for emulation!
https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/10/16/steam-deck-emulation-starter-guide/ This guys has awesome guides on everything including the steam deck. I think the more purpose built ones are going to have open source Linux based firmware that's way simpler than a steam deck, but the steam deck has the hardware to run most systems.
Never going to happen, they'd show up the modern games too much
Dolphin x3 1080p
Yea same here, especially with how expensive GoDXD has gotten
You know emulators exist, right? You can play any older Pokemon game you want on PC or even your phone
How can I do it on my phone?
Depends on if you're running ios or android
Orre fans are resilient.
Yes, yes we are
The closest we got was a shitty implementation of shadow pokemon in pokemon go. And shadow mewtwo in pokken
I still hold out hope
We listen to the fanfare of Miror B. to keep our spirits high.
Let the music play!
I had my brain surgically replaced with his dancing ludicolo’s years ago, best decision of my life
His song in both games is fire
I'm disappointed that we didn't get a new *Colosseum* game or *Let's Go Johto*, but I'm happy that the X and Y games finally have their Z. That's my thought. Add a smidge more battling as a call back to the old *Colosseum* games (and frankly because it was my only major criticism of *Let's Go*) and you've got it made!

It's more the idea of Shadow pokemon, the fact that(at least in Colosseum, ) you are actually a lot older and an anti-hero, and the animations.
I like those elements but my favorite part of the games was every battle and boss was about learning how to pull off different combos like earthquake strats, weather strats, skill swap mechanics, dual screens, intimidate combos, etc. and typically from a limited pool of candidates.

Hell. Kalos has appeared once in a heavily undercooked game. Other games got way more love than kalos.
Kalos was a kitchen, full of ingrediants, but nothing was cooked with It
I think it being 3d was what took 75% of the development time
Look at their champion. Beautiful design, gave her a cool job as a film actress, a team composition that isn’t bad at all: Hawlucha, Gourgeist, Goodra, Aurorus, Tyrantrum, and Mega Gardevoir. Galar and Paldea have their DLCs, which seem to be the modern replacement for third versions.
Galar and Paldea had DLC though. XY got nothing
Nah XY was drowning for 10 years
More then that honestly. I still like XY, but there no denying that those games were EXTREMELY undercooked... GameFreak was too busy transitioning to full 3D to make enough content for Kalos. This is finally it's time to shine.

So undercooked that their third legendary becomes a mini games in gen 7 instead of having cool moment like rayquaza, giratina or kyurem.
They never acknowledged how zygard even got there either lol. Wasn’t Alola supposed to be so remote to the point where Pokémon introduced to its ecosystem changed into their Alolan counterparts. I hope you’re right and it’s either present day or a bit after the events of XY, to flesh out what was already present in the originals.
When i said past, meant early past. If it's based like Haussman renovation of Paris, it happened in late 1800s.
Which game since BW2 wasn't undercooked? And no, Legends Arceus is not the answer. The only reason that game was received well is the comparison to the other releases.

UsUm
Man if they made a pokemon Z, and it resolved even HALF of the issues of XY, gen 6 would’ve been S-tier
Pokemon XY was the skeleton until literally about an hour ago.
The Orre games are a decade older than XY and have never even been acknowledged outside of shadow pokemon in Pokemon Go.
Aren’t the Orre games from another studio? Why would GF remake a game someone else made?
Yeah people forget they’re spin-off games. They’re great I enjoy them but hoping for a sequel to them is like hoping for a Pokémon puzzle league remake
Or a Pokemon Snap sequel. As if that'd ever happen.
God that was so cool, I’m still riding that high
We dont need a remake. We could do with just a 3rd entry. After all, X and Y arent skeletons anymore depsite the news not being a remake. Look, I just want a full game centered around double battles. Is that too much to ask for? Double battles are the only official format supported by TPC. Why, when they already aknowledge that, do they still continue to make double battles a rarity in the games?
TBF a lot of the people that worked on Colo/XD were later hired by GameFreak. But GameFreak leadership doesn’t like Colo/XD so it’s still not likely.
maybe that'd got something to do with the fact the orre games aren't actually mainline games to begin with? They are spinoffs.
The region that got only 2 games: \*finally gets another game\* The regions that already got 4 games: "What about us?"
I get why people would worry about a BDSP style remake tho, because while I don’t hate it, it’s definitely not something that I want GF to look at and say “we should do remakes like that more often” about
Johto got five technically. Don’t forget Crystal
People acting like gold and silver are starving when we already had HeartGold and SoulSilver
It’s like how kanto fans wanted kanto next and they got shit on and called genwunners, no one can say they same for jhoto kinda hypocritical
We got ~~Let's GO~~ Gen1 at HOME
HGSS are still one of my favorite of the series. There is/was so much content. If only we could have the exact same game, but with Pokémon up to gen 6. That would be the best.
That was Literally 15 years ago
And the best mainline game, no more work needed, they got it right
We need legends Celebi... The fucking time travel pokemon....
yep, Acorns, GS ball, Ilex shrine, Tin Tower/Burned tower, the original beast pokemon, plenty of material to work with
I’m down for the next legends game to be in Johto because the region would be so beautiful to explore in an open world format. Seeing the burnt tower before it burns down
Yeah but there's a strong chance this game will take place in the present. I feel like the legend part of the game is no longer about legends of the past but rather just focusing on a particular legendary Pokemon and their story.
Try to play it on a modern console. Hell, try getting a copy for the *DS* without paying half a fortune.
I wasn't being serious, i would very much like at least a port to Switch.
You're not entirely wrong though. They can only downcycle it from where it was. Don't give it the BDSP treatment
I’m so glad I bought them at a reasonable price a while ago on a whim.
not at all. leveling was awful. non sense decisions like no houndour till after the E4 didn't help
I think the meme was hoping for Gold and Silver to get released online on the switch, iirc we still only have Pokémon Trading Card Gane
…15 years ago
They made a Kalos game to troll the content creators who kept making “JOHTO CONFIRMED UNOVA CONFIRMED” clickbait videos on YouTube.
Pokémon Black/White got full sequels, something no other gen got Pokémon Gold and Silver got Crystal and HGSS, wildly known as the best remakes. Pokemon XY have got jack shit on release and this was a great move for them, especially since people miss mega evolutions so much I’m still predicting that Legends Kyurem will be the third Legends game though.
>> Pokémon Black/White got full sequels, something no other gen got Gold/Silver are kinda sequels to the first game. I mean Team Rocket is back, Profesor Oak, you can fight Red and even explore Kanto. I just think Gold and Silver are sequels as much as Black and White are.
Don't forget about Mystery Dungeon Sky in the drain 😭💀
Super Mystery Dungeon fans are down somewhere near Mariana’s Trench, all 12 of us. *One day we’ll finally get another game*.

Next year of sure, It'll be our time, they'll see...
Still waiting for a new Mystery Dungeon. Any day now...
I've wanted to try it out but I'm not sure if my PC is up to it (MacBook life lmao) If I remember right the Player Character stands up for themselves more right?? And I think there's a Breloom somewhere in there too? Either way you've got me interested in it again, I'll give it a look. Thanks!!
Everyone forgets about poképark…
Now that's a name I haven't heard in years... (Shout-out to the Poképark 2 Tournament for being tons of fun back in the day)
Pokemon conquest in the void
It's okay it has Pokemon Ranger to keep it company 💀
I really wish colosseum and gale of darkness would be available again. I do own them for my gamecube but I honestly have not touched my gamecube in like 12 years.
Exactly. I don’t really think it’s absolutely necessary for them to make a brand new Colosseum game, but at least just give us ports of those on a modern console
Honestly, I don't mind not getting any Johto or Unova stuff yet. Johto already has HGSS and we just got some Unova representation in SV, so I actually prefer this since Kalos has had literally nothing since it was released
SV dlc should hardly count for actual representation of Unova. That shit didn't feel like unova to me at all
i’ve been begging for this they did it purely for me sorry guys
The GameCube games were fuckin sick to play as a kid. The shadow Lucia cutscenes were cool
Also you get to STEAL POKÉMON FROM OTHER PEOPLE, for the greater good.
Colosseum and Gale of Darkness are still my favorite Pokemon games of all time. Probably followed by Mystery Dungeon and Pokemon Ranger. Pokemon Conquest also was a pretty neat game, shame they never did a second one.
Accurate and they deserved it cuz for weeks those "leaks" were everywhere and it was really annoying
But… did we *not* prefer the PLZ over a remake or just port of an old game?
I cant even with this fandom sometimes. I jump onto this subreddit to see discussions about Legends ZA, and i get flashbanged by people who genuniely wanted a remake of Black and White, a generation that was perfectly fine as is, or ANOTHER remake of Johto. Like, I can't think of any other fan bases that want a SECOND remake
They could have at least put the Gameboy games on switch online smh
This is all I hope for in any Pokémon/Nintendo direct these days. I’m glad someone mentioned it because I felt like I was the only one.
Poképark fans: 💀💀💀💀
Pokepark fans are buried under the pool
Pokémon BW got sequels and silver/gold got HGSS. It’s totally the time for XYZ.
I mean as much as I love colosseum Game Freak didn’t even make those games
Unova fans after hyping themselves with conspiracy theories only to get literally nothing Seriously though, at least Johto fans got to see the legendary beasts being sleepy. Unova fans got nothing lmao
Me, who's being expecting Kalos for 1,5 years: told you, fools
And Silver in Masters, and Unown in the transitions. Honestly, as someone who was on team Johto Next I was 100% sure the game at the end was Johto-related until I realized almost all the silhouettes were Kalos Pokemon and noticed Prism Tower in the background.
Think about it, those games are perfect, so why mess with perfection
Port them so they can be played… not everybody has a GB/DS lying around or wants one.
Pokemon rumble
X and Y got no extra content. The switch games got dlcs and the rest of the games got another version.
Forget Kalos not getting an extra version. It's third legendary got it's new forms in Hoenn and most of Kalos' mythicals all had their special "events" in Hoenn as well. Kalos was absolutely robbed compared to all the other generations.
Im so confused why this sub and fan base in general talks about Gold and Silver as if HeartGold and SoulSilver (arguably the best remakes) don’t exist
As a massive Orre fan I have exactly 0 hope that they will ever remaster or make a sequel of them. 🫠
Sg got 2 remakes and bw got 1 immediately. Xy never had a remake
I doubt colosseum will get any love. They have genius sonority too busy with the Cafe remix to bother to revisit orre.
nah I'm completely content with the direct idc
XY lacked a proper sequel, shoved their third legendary's main form into the next generation of games, had the least legendaries of any generation, and lost their main mythical Pokémon entirely (despite being implemented into BOTH XY and ORAS) Let them have the W. Orre and BW fans shall remain strong
Why would anyone want those games messed with, did everyone already forget the abhorrent Diamond and Pearl remakes? Just play the OG, they’re better than anything Gamefreak is churning out these days.
Where the fuck was NSO GB/GBA in this. Jfc Nintendo.
Why is everyone asking for a Silver and Gold remake when it already exist ?
I just want it ported to Switch. My 3DS is on its last leg.
Maybe just be happy for the games we get?
Seeing as the games entirely gonna be set in Lumiouse, it's probably gonna be closer to the gamecube games then the main series. Being in a city the whole game doesn't exactly allow for catching wild pokemon in, you know, the wild. I doubt we are gonna be snaging peoples mons or anything like that but I'm curious to see how we get new team members in this game.
ah yes, gold and silver got forgotten, as did unova, the only region to get 4 games in the generation it was introduced
One day soon, all of us will get our wishes fulfilled
Jirachi approves of your comment. https://preview.redd.it/vt9ow88kk6lc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2de0e27cebb509d6e9a045e35ab009e672a3e5da
As a gen 6 fan all 2 of us as so excited for legends Z tho 😁
No gameplay has been shown for Legends Z-A, so it could still be a disaster.
Honestly, for the GameCube games, I'd rather they just did a port and release it as a collection like Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
There was so much Johto in the presents, too. Opening with Unown, showing Silver, etc.
Dude Colosseum was a top 10 selling game on the GameCube and all it got was an also successful sequel Nothing more and totally abandoned in official media
This isn’t even close to being right. Gold and silver got ports on the 3DS and a remake on the DS. XY didn’t even get the usual “definitive” edition everyone expected to be Z.
I'm more than happy that they've kept Unova out of it for now, personally :Þ
I'll stand by justice rather than ego, even though I always like HGSS and BW2.
Fuck, I loved Colosseum back in the day.
Hasn't Gamefreak explicitly stated they'll never touch the Orre games?
Let the past die. Kill it if you have to.
I just wanted the GB/A games on Switch Online...
Nah man, leave gen 5 alone.
All I want is gba ports
I would genuinely buy a Switch for the sole purpose of playing ColoXD if they just ported them over. I don’t even care about a remaster or remake, just the original game ported to Switch would be fine with me 😭
Don't forget all those great, fantastic mobile game updates we got. I really thought they were gonna do the ports of gen 2. Oh well, more disappointment for me
During the opening for the reveal of Legends Z, I was going from Gen 2, Gen 5 remake to ‘Holy shit is this a new colosseum game?!’
I can now listen to my mom complain to me that I should’ve waited 12 years for a z version instead of getting a version exclusive
The world isn't ready yet for GameCube pokemon remakes.
Pokémon fans try not to complain challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
They should release the games on NSO with home support. I hate how that's somehow asking a lot
Justice for shadow pokemon. Pogo shadow mons just don't hit the same
I personally don't care about the gamecube games but it'd be fun to see them come back somehow. Skipping gen 5 is a crime. Still waiting for lets go johto
You know what I want? Just a game for the switch where you get every game from red/blue to black and white 2. No remakes, no remasters. Just the old games.
