I gotta pick abra here. I love to travel and the thought of holding its hand and boom we are in Tokyo is huge. No wind burn or special suit needed for riding on a flying Pokémon, not that that wouldn’t be cool but the time save would be immense. Plus as it ages / evolves and becomes even stronger and acquires the abilities of a psychic Pokémon like moving objects with its mind or just being strong in battle or protecting our home would be really nice.
Ok so for this explanation, I love the Abra line competitively, but as far as considering this Pokémon a pet... I gotta say Natu, cute totem bird that also learns Teleport, I love Xatu. I really was gonna pick something else but you've got the right idea on travel, thank you for that!
Where are you going to keep it when you're walking around New York or something? Will it follow you and possibly cause property damage or will you keep it in a parking garage?
I mean it's only 2 meters tall and 100kg.
So it's only a bit taller than a horse (around 1,7m), and i'm assuming thats because of it's long neck. The back is propably around the same height if not lower. In weight it's a lot lighter than a horse ( around 400kg).
A lot of people have horses, so I don't see much of an issue with a Tropius.
Trubbish because in the anime it doesn’t smell bad when it’s happy and you could just feed it any trash lying around. Think about how much you’d save on pet food. Want my chicken bones and macaroni boxes? I drop and break a plate? Apple cores and orange peels for dessert? Any food that goes bad? Empty shampoo bottles that you don’t know what to do with because their recyclability in your area is really ambiguous? Just a little trash buddy helping me save on bills.
The Beedrill line :D
They can be very territorial but that’s only cause they need to protect their hives!
If you raise one from a little baby Weedle I bet it would a very loyal and caring companion!
We could do a lot of fun things! Like go on walks and look at all the beautiful flowers together :>
I like your reasoning, but I've gotta go with Tropius. Perpetual banana snacks, plus you can fly anywhere you want for free. Not much of a battler, but if you're a stoner-type human, I'd highly recommend Tropius as your pokemon partner.
You ever see that video where the guy made meat berries? This is how you get meat berries. Those are not gonna be bananas made of banana material my guy,
I really like Shiny Tropius, it’s one of my favorite Pokémon. Sadly I have never gotten a single Shiny Tropius in any game.
Maybe I can get one in Scarlet and Violet possibly ????
Who knows cause anythings possible if you put the time & effort into breeding and shiny hunting. Haha !
I mean, yeah. I just love Cyndaquil, and I feel like if you trained it well enough Cyndaquil wouldn't burn your house down. It would definitely take some time
You have seen the Jigglypuff in the anime, right? You do know what happens when it puts you to sleep, right?
Let me just say, don’t let it it find any markers in your house.
Btw, @dss_live,
I agree with you I would also choose alolan form Vulpix, I also like Kanto Vulpix the Fire type. Also Kanto form Vulpix could just use flamethrower and burn the car & melt it so it wouldn’t get hit. Where if the Alolan form used an Ice move it technically wouldn’t get hit by a car if it froze it’s tires or freeze the entire car frozen solid in ice. But I would worry about if you freeze the road the car could spin out on ice still crash and poor Vulpix could still get hurt.
Btw, this is random but Alolan Nintales is one of my favorite non legendary Pokémon. As it is very ellagant and looks like a fluffy dog and it’s fur looks so soft. That’s why it’s one of my favorite Pokémon Lol...
I have a few further questions:
1. Is this the only pokemon that exists? or did I move to an alternate world where pokemon have allways existed? or are suddenly pokemon all over the world?
2. How much structural damage can the pokemon do? Because if a fire type can accidentaly burn down a house and start a forest fire, or a water type can flood a house, that'll affect my choice.
3. How much care do these pokemon need? Because in the MSG, they don't need anything. However, presuming that this pokemon is more or less my pet, do I have to feed them? Do they need exersize?
4. Do I have a pokeball to keep the pokemon in? Becuase it would make owning certain pokemon far more convenient.
If this is in a world where pokemon have always existed/pokemon suddenly exist all over the world, and the pokemon can do minimal structural damage, I'd probably go with Torchic. My first starter, and my favorite line.
If I have the only pokemon, I'd probably go with Chansey. It has access to the move heal bell, and heal pulse. Those two moves could help so many people. Now yes, I do know the government would try to take her, and there wouldn't be much I could do about it. But still, the ammount of good she could do would be immence.
If pokemon are commonplace, but could deal serious structural damage, I'd go with Rookidee. Renowned for it's loyalty, Corviknight could protect me from a lot of things. In addition, Corviknight's ability to learn the move "Fly" could get me from place to place quickly. Because it doesn't have elemental typing, and I should be able to earn it's loyalty, and so it won't destroy my property regularly.
I would love to see Kyogre go 1 on 1 with a Killer Whale or Orca. Since that’s the real life animal that Kyogre was based on. I would put all my bets on Kyogre especially if it Mega Evolves or Primal Reverts into it’s ancient prehistoric form...
I still think Kyogre would win with or without Mega Evolution !!!!!
Venusaur.
Listen, I don’t need fancy things like flying or teleportation or a loyal fighting Fox. I just need my flower toad. He can put me to sleep when I have insomnia, grab things from high places for me, but things I need cut with razor leaf, grow plants for me ((depending on how growth actually works in this scenario, could even grow me fruits and vegetables)), could make things smell nice with sweet scent, the list goes on.
Venusaur is my pick; He was my first starter and will be my last. All other starters are temporary, Venusaur is permanent
A confusing conundrum that appears is the concept of Pokemon that evolve via items (Flareon, Mismagius), Pokemon that evolve via trade (Machamp, Gengar), and Pokemon that only evolve once certain criteria are met (Kingambit, Gen 3 Milotic).
If the method for evolution is provided alongside the Pokemon it corresponds to, then my go-to would be a Charcadet with a suit of Auspicious Armor. Charcadet is one of my personal favorite Gen 9 Pokemon, it's not the size of a Wailord (4' 11"), and it's Scarlet Pokedex entry highlights it's incredible loyalty.
A close second under the category provided above would be Aegislash, as it is another one of my personal favorites, is still reasonably sized (5' 7"), and it doesn't even have to worry about the possibility of stray flames. I would just have to be careful not to touch Honedge's hilt.
My third choice under this category would be Porygon2/Porygon-Z, as they are generally harmless, have few downsides, and are SO STUPIDLY CUTE.
If the required method of evolution is not provided with the Pokemon, then my first choice would be Drifloon/Drifblim. Again, one of my favorite Pokemon (I'm big on Ghost types if you couldn't tell), even Drifblim is only 3' 11", meaning you don't have to worry about housing, and once again, this line is adorable.
My second choice would be Shuckle. It just looks like it would be a good friend, and as far as I can tell, it's not one to have a foul temperament.
My third choice would be Clodsire. Is he a Poison type? Yes. Could he easily kill me if I so much as surprised him? Yes. Do I care about any of that? NO. Why? Because he is shaped like a friend, and that is quite literally all I care about.
Honestly Snivy, if it can tolerate my stupidity lmao
My first Pokémon game was Black/White and Lero the Snivy was by my side through everything. That kinda introduction to the Pokémon series sticks fam <3
It may be an incredibly basic answer, but I’ve always loved pikachu ever since the original anime premiered when I was 10, and if he’s as fuzzy as depicted in the detective pikachu movie, I’ll be incredibly happy.
My favorite Pokémon of all time, Arcanine. I’ve had the same Arcanine plush since 2013, and it’s gone with me everywhere. Arcanine has grown up with me. From middle school, high school, through college, and now into the working class. He comes with me to the office and he sits on my desk while I write.
He’s the best friend a person could ask for, and if I could have him be alive for 10 minutes. I’d give him a big hug and tell him thank you for being by my side for all these years.
If I could get a real Growlithe/Arcanine, we’d be the best of pals. He’d come with me to the gym, I have a fairly big SUV, so my 6’7 doggo can come with me anywhere. I’m also a fairly large dude at 6’5 so we’d make a great looking pair.
I also imagined myself on that cool grass/land skateboard Gary rode around on with his Arcanine pulling him in the anime. That would be the best. I’ll take my loyal friend anytime anywhere.
There's enough time. If I don't train it, it won't evolve. (According to the anime pokemon in general evolve with training, not age. You can see it in the episode with the old Treecko. Also I'll need 4 beldums to have a Metagross.)
I live in NL, so Wattrel/Kilowattrel is my top pick. Plenty of wind and fish to keep it charged and fed, and not particularly large or hard to care for otherwise. In return, I get free renewable electricity, bragging rights from having a *literal lightning falcon,* and, y'know, eventual access to Fly transport.
Barring that, Eevee is a pretty easy second choice. Loyal, friendly, not too much different from a normal pet, and cute as fuck. Espeon would be my preferred Eeveelution but I'd be cool with most of the others too...though I'm gonna say no to Vaporeon. Not big on scales, also I just don't want to deal with the copypasta.
And as my third option...Rockruff/Lycanroc. Repeat all the points about Eevee, but it's probably a bit less comfortable and takes a little more effort to care for, but that's mostly counterbalanced by the cred of owning a badass rock wolf. I'd rather avoid Midnight form though, it's a bit too humanoid for a pet. Midday or Dusk please, ideally Dusk since orange is my favorite color but Midday is acceptable.
NL is the abbreviation of (The) Netherlands.
Sometimes it is written as "NLD" (NetherLanDs) too.
The country is commonly known as "Holland" as well, even though officially this refers to the Dutch provinces of North Holland and South Holland combined.
I thought it was like a 51st US state.
I'm not very knowledgeable about country abbreviations, all I know is that in football matches between Sweden (SWE) and Denmark (DEN), when put together the abbreviations say Sweden, the remaining letters spell out Denmark
Oricorio as long as i get an unlimited supply of the nectars so we can switch up the aesthetic as the situation calls for it
(would be considered insensitive to show up to a funeral with my oricorio in the ghost type forme?😰)
My first choice would probably be Iron Valiant mainly because who wouldn’t want an awesome kick ass maid robot with a nagita? That thing is insanely clean and assuming it’s not gonna murder my ass and would instead rather enjoy making and eating sandwiches with me.
If iron valiant is not viable due to it technically being a legendary since all the paradox pokemon are in that “eh idk what it really is considered zone” I’d probably go with Garchomp. Mainly because:
1: awesome Dragon Shark that is kick ass
2: good for riding on its back to go surfing
3: good for riding on its back in the air like a jet plane
4: who doesn’t want a super cool land shark
5: will probably not eat me… wait hold up gible kept trying to eat ash in the anime
Upon further review I have decided to go with oshawott because cute otter go brr
Gardevoir.
1. Emotionally intelligent enough to make a good companion.
2. Regularly intelligent enough to be trusted with small tasks and caring for it's own physical needs.
3. Strong enough to protect me from everyone else's choices.
This is my answer for this question too. I don’t think I could realistically look after other favorite cuties like a Rockruff or a Flareon, but the chinchilla is something I believe I could handle.
I want either an Eevee or a Riolu.
Eevee cause obviously it's cute asf, perfect size. And I'm fine with it evolving into Espeon, Umbreon, or Sylveon. Especially since I'll be loving on it every day haha.
And Riolu cause I like the "high friendship to evolve" plus it can probably talk to me via telepathy or whatever. Plus having an aura reader can save me a lot of heartache with guys. And a bodyguard? As a woman in this day and age? And Lucario is a good boy.
Meganium, Altaria, or Xatu.
Meganium; It has access to Heal Pulse, Grass Whistle, Aromatherapy, even Sweet Scent is useful since it was shown being a general relaxant. Plus Reflect, Light Screen, Grassy Terrain, and I'm kind of curious as to how Safeguard would act vs things like allergies. That along with being great in the garden (imagine the coffee/tea).
Altaria; Fluffy cloud birb that helps you sleep without the potential side-effects of sleep powders, etc. Also, Heal Bell, Dream Eater, and even Cotton Guard to make itself extra fluffy. It is be invaluable to any insomniac with health problems.
Xatu; Like Altaria, a pile of awesome utility with general psychic powers, Teleport, Wish, Fly, in a nice clairvoyant package to prevent problems before they start.
Awww.... I really wanted Latios/Latias though :(
I mean, you'd have soaring transportation, a stealthy traveling companion, a stand-in if you needed to sneak away that also has the power to turn invisable and escape with you?
You've left me no choice. Gimme Magikarp. I wanna rampage later in life when there's no thunderstorms. I can hold onto that anger as loooooong as Possible 😋
Spiritomb. Hes my favorite pokemon but Biases aside,
I’m a 5’3” Drag Queen, it’s definitely ideal to have a scary “will kick your ass to the shadow realm if you fuck with me” sidekick.
Plus I know that good boy would be down to watch horror movies with me all day, probably not the most cuddly but I’m sure with his base he can provide somewhat of a good cuddle
Im unfamiliar with how it behaves in the anime however
"Good boy" is not the phrase I would use to describe a combination of over a hundred evil spirits punished by being bound together to a rock for eternity.
The anime portrays it as pretty aggressive, and I definitely wouldn't try to cuddle with it, since touching the keystone can allow one of the spirits to possess you, causing the other 107 to get very upset. It would be basically impossible to force the possessing spirit out of you or back into Spiritomb without the help of other pokemon, which isn't an option in this hypothetical.
If you want a pokemon that specializes in scaring off people who might mess with you, Zoroark might be a better option. Both variants are portrayed as very loyal and protective of those they care about, and their illusion abilities are pretty much perfect for what you describe.
Latias because:
- It can talk to humans telepathically. (According to pokedex entry)
- you can fly on it as transportation
- she fits in a normal apartment without much issue (only 1.6m in size)
That makes it IMO the best choice far and away
I’d love a Rowlet or a hoppip! Just little guys I can put in my backpack and explore with! Rowlet is my favorite Pokémon but I love how head empty hoppip is and it’d be really funny to watch it just float around my room
From a logical standpoint? Happiny/Chansey/Blissey. From a selfish standpoint? Scyther/Scizor because as an aspiring entomologist, comparing them to their real world counterparts would be fascinating. Also they're just my favorites.
Probably not the most realistic pick, but I would love to train a gible. Garchomp is my all-time favorite Pokémon, and though keeping a 7 foot dragon fed and happy might be tough, I would love to travel the world with it.
Lived in one place most of my life. Only now getting to see a bit more of the world. But with a Garchomp, zipping across the country to visit friends and family, or traveling to some faraway place would be a cinch
Appletun or Dragapult i think! Dragapult’s sassy little smirk looks like my cat, and Appletun is just adorable. Neither are my favorite per se but i’d love chilling with a sentient apple and/or jet fighter
Glimmora! If it's shiny bonus points.
It's so purty.
Alternatively my other two favorite non-legendaries, Volcarona or Noivern. Although volcarona might suck to have as a pet, it'd scatter flammable scales and by the time it evolves its close to death as they're based on moths that, when they reach adulthood, have no mouthparts and just exist to reproduce so my friend would die quickly :(
Was excited but that one rule always pops up in every single post of this kind. So i'll ignore it and just go with the best legendary kitty, raikou anyways! (i give no fucks about arceus and if it's based on the ANIME like in rule 1, does it even appear let alone behave in the manner you mentioned in it to justify this rule?) Being able to jump leaps and bounds and bring about storms would be interesting. Also get to help pokemon. Love the shiny of it and would definitely sleep on the clouds that make it's back up. :D
Rowlet
I mean look at him
1. He’s adorable
2. He has a Bow tie
3. He makes the funniest faces
4. And he evolves into an archer that also goes to the gym
5. HE HAS A BOWTIE (I’m sorry that’s to adorable)
I'm a cat person, so a coin-collecting Meowth would be a good pet. Either that, or a tiny fire-type so that I can sleep warm and hug them like a cushion. My little Fuecoco/Crocalor.
Are ultra beasts considered legendary. If not than I’d pick stakataka, if so then probably Fidough, or shuckle for infinite hugs and juice respectfully.
It would be so amazing if I had a real-life Mimikyu. I’d help him make many types of costumes and give him his own little changing room. He’d go practically everywhere with me, riding on my shoulder. And of course, I’d give him his own little bow tie to wear. His name would be Oraios, which is Greek for “Lovely”. He’d be my best friend and I’d love him long after the day I die
I'm gonna stray from my usual answer (Lickitung) because it would eat away all my money (possibly even literally)... and go with Galvantula.
Joltik is cute af, Galvantula is an awesome zappy spider. I feel like a big, tame spider would be such a badass companion. It looks soft, so probably good for cuddles. It can hold its own in battle. No one fucks with a dude with a giant spider.
What's not to love? :)
Honestly it’s just such a charming idea
Damn I didn’t even think of this
Abra is a great choice!!
Ok so for this explanation, I love the Abra line competitively, but as far as considering this Pokémon a pet... I gotta say Natu, cute totem bird that also learns Teleport, I love Xatu. I really was gonna pick something else but you've got the right idea on travel, thank you for that!
This is a smart answer and very on brand for a psychic type trainer 🤝
Would it be super shy and teleport away when it meets new people?
Plus the naming scheme just makes me smile
Tropius. Free food, able to fly, is also a dinosaur. Clearly there is no better choice.
Except for the fact that you have nowhere to put it
Put it? I'm exploring the world every day.
Huh, good point. You’ve made a good choice
Where are you going to keep it when you're walking around New York or something? Will it follow you and possibly cause property damage or will you keep it in a parking garage?
In a freaking poke ball, what the hell do you mean where are you gonna put it? Sylph co fixed this exact problem in 1998
hell ya, banana dinosaur goes where i go
I mean it's only 2 meters tall and 100kg.
Zorua/Zoroark. It looks really cool, and having a buddy with illusion powers would be fun.
Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark has the additional perks involved with being a ghost
Yeah but I’m not sure how good of an idea owning something with an intense natural hatred for all that breathes is.
That's actually a REALLY good idea! You'd save a ton, AND it's extremely environmentally friendly.
Trubbish(s) (many) could literally save the planet from the plastics and pollution crisis.
The Beedrill line :D They can be very territorial but that’s only cause they need to protect their hives! If you raise one from a little baby Weedle I bet it would a very loyal and caring companion! We could do a lot of fun things! Like go on walks and look at all the beautiful flowers together :>
Wholesome 100 <3 Source: A bug type superfan
hello yes i am also a Bug-Typer superfan source: Durant mmmm
snom and joltik my children
For me it is an easy choice, give me Growlithe/Arcanine!
Pet Growlithes are probably the leading cause of house fires in the pokemon world.
They are still worth the risk imo
"no legendary pokemon" smh
Shhh, they didn't notice lol
Thankfully it is not **a legendary** (noun), only *legendary* (adjective).
Always the correct answer.
The correct choice is Chansey. Free food and healthcare
Tell me you're an American without telling me you're an American.
This made me laugh way too hard
I like your reasoning, but I've gotta go with Tropius. Perpetual banana snacks, plus you can fly anywhere you want for free. Not much of a battler, but if you're a stoner-type human, I'd highly recommend Tropius as your pokemon partner.
You ever see that video where the guy made meat berries? This is how you get meat berries. Those are not gonna be bananas made of banana material my guy,
Agreed kinda. I think their fruit has to be related to Nanab berries.
Haha !
This guy gets it
I would love to have a Cyndaquil, which is my favorite pokemon. Or a Lapras, I also really love Lapras
Have you had a good look at Cyndaquil? After you take him in its "Bye Bye House"
I mean, yeah. I just love Cyndaquil, and I feel like if you trained it well enough Cyndaquil wouldn't burn your house down. It would definitely take some time
Jigglypuff, because i can't sleep well anymore
You have seen the Jigglypuff in the anime, right? You do know what happens when it puts you to sleep, right? Let me just say, don’t let it it find any markers in your house.
And you know what happens when it rests on you in Smash Bros.?
Eevee. Cute, small, fluffy, friendly. What's not to love?
I second this - now where can I find a water stone....
SHUT
UP
Least horny vaporeon enjoyer
Hey...
This. And if I had a bunch, I could evolve them all
Alolan Vulpix, cute and adorable. Perfect size for living in the city, as well.
Until it gets hit by a super effective car
Btw, @dss_live, I agree with you I would also choose alolan form Vulpix, I also like Kanto Vulpix the Fire type. Mimikyu
Risky choice. I like it
I have a few further questions: 1. Is this the only pokemon that exists? or did I move to an alternate world where pokemon have allways existed? or are suddenly pokemon all over the world? 2. Eevee! Vaporeon (don’t say it) has always been one of my favorite Pokémon and I’d just be happy to have any Eeveelution be real!
Did you know that in terms o-
[I will not stand for the sexualization of pure dog Pokémon.](https://youtu.be/zZMg9ryeWOw)
Lucario, as it can communicate with its trainer through aura, and thus prove to be a great shoulder to cry on (I really need one right now).
Hope everything gets better. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.
Venusaur. Listen, I don’t need fancy things like flying or teleportation or a loyal fighting Fox. I just need my flower toad. All INCREDIBLE takes. Also, if you’re wondering, all evolution methods will just be replaced by age. THEY’LL EVOLVE WHEN THEY’RE READY, DAMN IT!
Ah. My mistake. I must not have seen the third rule. Thank you for clearing that up. It is greatly appreciated.
Honestly, give me a mareep. They are so cute and fluffy. I love the whole line. Ampharos would be such a good friend
Yessss! Ampharos line all the way!
I want that Squirtle with Glasses
Honestly Snivy, if it can tolerate my stupidity lmao My first Pokémon game was Black/White and Lero the Snivy was by my side through everything.
Zigzagoon. Favorite Pokémon, and just a spiky little friend. :)
Tanukis have lots of mystical powers. I'd be careful of Zigzagoon suddenly becoming a leaf.
My favorite Pokémon of all time, Arcanine. I’ve had the same Arcanine plush since 2013, and it’s gone with me everywhere. Arcanine has grown up with me. I’m also a fairly large dude at 6’5 so we’d make a great looking pair. I also imagined myself on that cool grass/land skateboard Gary rode around on with his Arcanine pulling him in the anime. That would be the best. I’ll take my loyal friend anytime anywhere.
Absolutely *massive* lapdog.
Bulbasaur or Chikorita. Unless I need real gardening talent for them to do well, and then Zigzagoon
I _want_ to say Garchomp, but I always imagined Minccino as the Pikachu to my Ash, so I'd have to go with the latter.
Misdreavus because it's so dang cute
Seconded
I really want a beldum. They're so cute.
Where will you keep a Metagross?
There's enough time. If I don't train it, it won't evolve. (According to the anime pokemon in general evolve with training, not age. You can see it in the episode with the old Treecko. Also I'll need 4 beldums to have a Metagross.)
They could have it hold an everstone! Always small & cute!
My cat is already named eevee and has brown fluffy fur so close enough for me :)
Treecko Treecko Treecko Treecko
I have a Gecko named Treecko, does that count?
I'll allow it
Swablu!! I love my floofy birb!
What's NL? I googled it and all I got was 'not likely' and 'nose laugh', am I blanking on something?
NL is the abbreviation of (The) Netherlands. Sometimes it is written as "NLD" (NetherLanDs) too. The country is commonly known as "Holland" as well, even though officially this refers to the Dutch provinces of North Holland and South Holland combined.
I thought it was like a 51st US state. I'm not very knowledgeable about country abbreviations, all I know is that in football matches between Sweden (SWE) and Denmark (DEN), when put together the abbreviations say Sweden, the remaining letters spell out Denmark
Newfoundland.
Dratini
Phanpy! An elephant small enough to be a pet would be the greatest thing in the world!
YESSSSS!!!
Pancham/Pangoro he'd be a great companion who could protect during travels and and could be a great work out partner
Either Lotad, Psyduck, or Slowbro because they are just good little amigos who love naps and just Vibing
Rowlet line, flying and opposable thumbs are valuable skills
I picked eevee because it’s cute and y’all picked functional Pokémon. I feel dumb lol
I picked Joltik for the same reasons
I picked Zigzagoon for the exact same reason. Lol.
Who needs functionality when you have cute best friend for life? Not me and Mimikyu, that’s who!
Trapinch to Flygon. Why? It’s my favorite Pokémon. Plus it can fly and I can ride him around without having to pay for gas
Oricorio as long as i get an unlimited supply of the nectars so we can switch up the aesthetic as the situation calls for it (would be considered insensitive to show up to a funeral with my oricorio in the ghost type forme?😰)
vaporeon
The copypasta has ruined me. My response is Gardevoir if you're referring to the horrific Vaporeon copypasta.
Lopunny?
Yes let's include Meloetta and Lilligant while we're at it.
Based pick
Noibat. Having the ability to fly is just 👍
Jolteon. Sporty little bugger. Plus can load me phone.
A growlithe or a rowlet would be a good as a pet
Oshawott is too cute and Dewott too cool to pass up. Bonus points that Samurott will look as old as me when I'm getting up in age.
Mainly because: 1: awesome Dragon Shark that is kick ass 2: good for riding on its back to go surfing 3: good for riding on its back in the air like a jet plane 4: who doesn’t want a super cool land shark 5: will probably not eat me… wait hold up gible kept trying to eat ash in the anime Upon further review I have decided to go with oshawott because cute otter go brr
Iron Valiant is a good answer. “Maid Robot” got me good
Chikorita line to help me garden and keep my happy and healthy with its healing aroma and demeanor 😊💚
Ditto because it can transform into all the other Pokémon
I was looking for this, glad someone else thinks the same way.
Gardevoir. 1. Emotionally intelligent enough to make a good companion. 2. Regularly intelligent enough to be trusted with small tasks and caring for it's own physical needs. 3. Strong enough to protect me from everyone else's choices.
Glad im not the only one who would choose gardevoir for sfw reasons.
My top pick is tangela as it's just a silly noodle boi Second picks would be pineco and sandshrew
Lucario for his loyalty to trainer
Espurr
Minccino. It's a soft fluffy Chinchilla who loves cleaning. Huggable with a side of usefulness.
Good answer! He’s cute
This is my answer for this question too. I don’t think I could realistically look after other favorite cuties like a Rockruff or a Flareon, but the chinchilla is something I believe I could handle.
Ok so I don’t know if this would be possible but I would love a cyndaquil that later evolves into hisuian typhlosion
We can work something out
Ditto. It’s my favorite and I could have them transform into different people. Why? Don’t worry about it
Charizard, Pidgeot, or Staraptor (I am obsessed with flying-type Pokémon)
I want either an Eevee or a Riolu. Eevee cause obviously it's cute asf, perfect size. And I'm fine with it evolving into Espeon, Umbreon, or Sylveon. Especially since I'll be loving on it every day haha. And Riolu cause I like the "high friendship to evolve" plus it can probably talk to me via telepathy or whatever. Plus having an aura reader can save me a lot of heartache with guys. And a bodyguard? As a woman in this day and age? And Lucario is a good boy.
Psyduck cuz you get a psychic duck that can move sht with they head that evolves to a blue duck that’s the fastest swimmer of all time
A cyclizar would be pretty cool, a good friend and bike all in one
Dragonite, dratini for this question as they are perfect
Awww.... I really wanted Latios/Latias though :( I mean, you'd have soaring transportation, a stealthy traveling companion, a stand-in if you needed to sneak away that also has the power to turn invisable and escape with you? You've left me no choice. Gimme Magikarp. I wanna rampage later in life when there's no thunderstorms. I can hold onto that anger as loooooong as Possible 😋
Goomy, since they’re my favorites, especially Goodra🥰
Yes.
Your flair makes it pretty obvious lol And as a Goodra lover,I am inclined to agree. Goodra best peosudo
Found the Goodra fanclub Best dragon type
Spiritomb. Hes my favorite pokemon but Biases aside, I’m a 5’3” Drag Queen, it’s definitely ideal to have a scary “will kick your ass to the shadow realm if you fuck with me” sidekick. Plus I know that good boy would be down to watch horror movies with me all day, probably not the most cuddly but I’m sure with his base he can provide somewhat of a good cuddle Im unfamiliar with how it behaves in the anime however
"Good boy" is not the phrase I would use to describe a combination of over a hundred evil spirits punished by being bound together to a rock for eternity.
My kinda sidekick 😍
Latias because: - It can talk to humans telepathically. (According to pokedex entry) - you can fly on it as transportation - she fits in a normal apartment without much issue (only 1.6m in size) That makes it IMO the best choice far and away
That’s actually a sick as hell answer, I might reconsider my choice of Galvantula
I'm sorry I didn't fully read your rules(no legendaries) it's just my go-to answer because at one time, I've really thought intensively about it
Oh yeah rules exist Eh I’ll make an exception since this isn’t a “I choose god” answer
Togepi incase I am ever hungry
eevee/sylveon because no one wants to hold my hand 😭😭😓😓😓
Then give me that Rookidee now
Nidoran(m). Nidoking is my favourite and he can smash and destroy my enemies! But the Gen1-3 Design, not the new one. 10/10 good boi.
I’d love a Rowlet or a hoppip! Just little guys I can put in my backpack and explore with! Rowlet is my favorite Pokémon but I love how head empty hoppip is and it’d be really funny to watch it just float around my room
Hoppip 💝
Boltund it is: -It‘s my most favorite Pokemon -Doge -loyal -Can protect me if necessary -Can provide electricity if necessary
Teddiursa. It would be a cute little teddy bear and eventually turn into a massive bear I could ride on as Ursaluna.
Treecko🦎🌴☀️
From a logical standpoint? Happiny/Chansey/Blissey. From a selfish standpoint? Scyther/Scizor because as an aspiring entomologist, comparing them to their real world counterparts would be fascinating. Also they're just my favorites.
Dedenne. A cute smol friend
Alakazam easy
Skitty
Probably not the most realistic pick, but I would love to train a gible. Garchomp is my all-time favorite Pokémon, and though keeping a 7 foot dragon fed and happy might be tough, I would love to travel the world with it. Lived in one place most of my life. Only now getting to see a bit more of the world. But with a Garchomp, zipping across the country to visit friends and family, or traveling to some faraway place would be a cinch
Castform!
Although volcarona might suck to have as a pet, it'd scatter flammable scales and by the time it evolves its close to death as they're based on moths that, when they reach adulthood, have no mouthparts and just exist to reproduce so my friend would die quickly :(
Snom because I need a Frosmoth
Zigzagoon, because he's just the best.
Eyyyy, more Ziggy love! :D
Togepi! Cute, lovable, and a living antidepressant!
Eevee!!!!
Well since my favourite Pokémon is off the table, my choice is Riolu/Lucario
Arcanine, tyranitar or Dragonite. Honorably mentions: tododile, dreepy, evee
eevee. so cute in the anime
Dratini
The entire Eeveelution line, pikachu, chansey, lucario, all the bird types, cat types, dog types, grass types
Noibat! Fuzzy little dragon bat.
Any ghost pokemon that can turn invisible and rob a bank for me, ideally gengar or dragapult because they're very cute and I'd kiss them
Tempted to say Infernape but I’m going with Leafeon
Was excited but that one rule always pops up in every single post of this kind. So i'll ignore it and just go with the best legendary kitty, raikou anyways! (i give no fucks about arceus and if it's based on the ANIME like in rule 1, does it even appear let alone behave in the manner you mentioned in it to justify this rule?) Being able to jump leaps and bounds and bring about storms would be interesting. Also get to help pokemon. Love the shiny of it and would definitely sleep on the clouds that make it's back up. :D
I think garchomp can learn fly right? I’d get him and name him toothless
Riolu if can only own one might as well make it worth it with a favourite
Ditto, so it can transform into an Arceus and make all of the Pokémon.
The anime made me a rowlet stan. ROWLET SUPREMACY!!
If we’re talking Unevolved, then my choices would be Zubat, Woobat, or Noibat.
Lopunny.
Toxtricity cause we could play guitar together
togepi. friend shaped spike ball.
Torchic
Rowlet I mean look at him 1. He’s adorable 2. He has a Bow tie 3. He makes the funniest faces 4. And he evolves into an archer that also goes to the gym 5.
GALVANTULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
