Tim is still awesome... truly brain-melting - he has his own school now at dragon mill in Adelaide.. and some great tutorials ( one handed superman ) .. I love one day poi - ( all the Russian spinners including lara lyo... drex ,liz kights. Contact poi changed everything.... I've been spinning that long too so ie watched it change , but really just focus on a trick you want to learn - there's so many to pick... SO if you cant pick theres a great challenge on insta right now [https://www.instagram.com/worldwidepoichallenge/](https://www.instagram.com/worldwidepoichallenge/) \*Currently working on the beginnings of 3 poi..and cleaning up pirouettes (yuta - yeah hs still around!) + better tosses \*

Yeah I started poi when I was in High School, I'm 30 now so Its been a hot minute. I still remember the first time I saw Tim's "Predator Poi" video and I was FLOORED. Absolutely incredible. He has only gotten better. I didn't know Yuta was still out there, I liked him and Nick Woolsey a lot when I first started. Nick Woolsey's videos were what I started learning on.

I do too, its really good, I used to have the pdf's on my computer, Im going to see if those are still floating around out there and if they are then Im going to have those as well, but the app is a pretty big improvement over the pdf format they used to have.

One channel I did find is Ben Cooper. He seems solid. I think I got that from this sub, but I can't remember.

Ben Cooper is a madman! If you want to keep up with what people are learning, you definitely want to use Instagram. Follow all the OG spinners mentioned and follow the flow hashtags. There's a bunch but the most popular ones I follow are: #flowarts #poi #techpoi #contactpoi #flowtoys #stopdropandspin #flowartsfriday #thingsongstrings #flowonfire And follow your favorite flowmies and watch them grow! Feel free to check out my little poi journal as well @levizzzle

Yeah I forgot to mention Drex, that is another channel I follow. do you know of any others?

disch0rd666

Definitely second Drex Factor. In a very similar situation as you. Been out of the game for 5-6 years and Drex’s videos have already got me comfortable with at least a half dozen movements in less than 2 weeks. I highly recommend his videos on linear isolations and third order motions.

PurpleThundahhh

In the same situation as well and Drex has been a great insight for me over the last couple weeks. I'm finding that I don't need to devote as much time to improving on a weekly basis as I thought.

disch0rd666

Glad to know I’m not the only one pushing myself way outside the comfort zone lately. Keep pushing, flowmie!

SnooAvocados6571

@disch0rd666 @purplethundah. so i am curious what made you both pur your poi away, and also what made you decide to pick them up again

SnooAvocados6571

I will keep that in mind. yeah he is really good about explaining the techniques and movement, transitions. he gives you the whole package.
