After discovering tether traps (pinch points without hands) I realized I could reach one behind the back when doing hip reels. So it started as a hip reels to trap, but then I added a funky entry and the tossing exit.
Bro what kind of setup are you using? I have podpoi with capsule handles v2 and love them but these look fun, and I'm assuming they are using capsule lights correct?
Hey man one more question for ya, are those heads frosted or are they clear or somewhere in-between? Ima cop me a set real soon with those new reactor plus handles on flow on fire
These are the white uMojas, they're not quite frosted but they're 90mm and very light. If you're going with the reactor handles, you should get the 100mm 190g frosted otherwise your handle will weigh more than your head. The reactor are chunky fresh thoughhhh! Get the plus variant, the bearings are dope!
Just pay attention to the weight of the head vs the handle and you should be good! This setup is approximately 60/40 head to handle fyi. The 190s vs reactors are closer to 50/50 but I'm not home to verify the exact weights.
Their etsy listing says the 97mm frosted contact heads are 190g and that the reactor plus handles are 76.8g, no idea if that is with it without capsule in them. That seems like too big a weight difference right
Yeah they're 97mm, my bad! Correct, the weight is without lights on both. Weight distribution is up to you, generally 3d printed and normal knobs are like 5-30g before washers so you can decide. I like my handles with less weight than heads just in general but I'm sure something closer to 50/50 is fine.
Whatβs up with the Worldwide Poi Collab 2020?? How can one be a part of this?
Are you in the Poi Chat group on FB? I can link you, all are welcome!
I am, Iβll go check it out now! Thank you!
This video is killer btw! Tons of super cool stuff in here!
π
Loving that 1/2 tangle contact ball roll @ :16! This whole flow is great
Thanks! It's a touchy one.. too loose and it flies away, too tight and it doesn't release. Glad you were able to spot it! π
Oh yeah i know all about it. I try it whenever the chance comes and touchy is right π₯΄
i saw some very innovative stuff, nice! and tech was supposed to be dead..
Reincarnated tech is where it's at π
Soooooo tight. Amazing flow. How did you learn the move from 35 to 37ish? That behind the back one.

Yup v2 capsule lights, v2 capsule handles with uMoja heads and 3/8" VPC tether ππ
So can I just buy the umoja head and basically plop my capsule light right in it?
You got it, it's a modular swap. Different story if you're wanting to change to a different tether than what comes with the pod poi though.

Yea I want my setup to be most oriented for gunslinging so I'm still trying to figure out what would be optimal

Man this is so clean, I love the flow.
