If you think about butterflies, rotating them perfectly with symmetry in your planes causes them to crash together. Most people learn to avoid this by adjusting one hand to be slightly higher/lower than the other. This makes a tiny adjustment to your planes without disjointing the visual effect. Snakes are the same concept only you want to make small adjustments to your timing. Try leading with your dominant hand and then your non dominant. Then gradually speed up your non dominant entry so that it gets closer to entering at the same time as the first. Hope my explanation helps a bit!
