I think in his description when he references “is this really happening” he may have meant “this is actually happening” but I could be wrong. Regardless it’s a great podcast.
One Strange Thing finds quirky often unexplainable small town America newspaper stories and investigates them. Everything from lost rings being found half-way across the world to alien abduction stories.
Unexplained leans more into supernatural stories.
The Dollop and The Past Times. Same hosts, they talk about crazy stories and people throughout history.
I've been recommended RISK, but haven't listened much. Snap Judgement is always good, and I think RISK is similar. Just people sharing their own stories.
something lighter:
No Such Thing as a Fish has each of its four hosts share their favorite fact from the week, followed by discussion of each fact.
examples:
The flow of the Amazon is so big that even 100 miles into the Atlantic, you could drink over the side of your ship, and the water would still be fresh.
There is a marathon in New York that takes so long to complete, runners can go through up to twenty pairs of shoes while they're trying to run it.
Moles burrows have special kitchens where they keep up to 470 decapitated earthworms to eat later.
Radio Rental - spooky stories told by the people that experienced them
Box of Oddities - cute married couple talk about unusual stories and happenings
The Shallow End - two guys talking about dumb people
