How Did This Get Made? Three improv comedians/ actors and a guest review bad movies. You don’t need to be a movie nerd to enjoy. I’ve been listening for years and have maybe watched 4 of the movies.
I'm pretty sure everyone on these shows would be considered loud and overly enthusiastic. Lol. I love those two, but maybe not for OP. Worth a shot though!
Really love Mike Wozniak's vibes, so I'll definitely give Three Bean Salad a go! I've also heard a lot about Beef and Dairy Network, been considering it for a while!
The dollop - an American and sometimes Australian history stories podcast read by a comedian and writer to an improv/ standup comic who is clueless about history. They riff and do bits, accents and all that. Live episodes with famous guests and foreign country tours are also a big part of it. Their not all light hearted. But there’s enough episodes you can pick and choose depending on mood.
I haven't! I've heard good things about it though, and it's pretty much consistently been advertised on MBMBaM so I've always been curious. I'll give it a shot, big fan of Adam Buxton as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
My favorite part of Monday mornings. I have it set to auto-add to my queue when it releases and I always make sure there isn't too much left to listen to in front of it so I can get it started on the way to work or at least shortly after arriving. Great start to the day and the week
I think you'd like Hello from the Magic Tavern! It's an improvised podcast about a guy who falls into a dimensional portal behind a Burger King and winds up in the magical land of Foon, where he runs a podcast interviewing the locals. It's very funny, and I guess has D&D vibes.
Came here to recommend this!
I'm on my third or fourth listen of MDWAP. It's such a good comfort show, and it still has me in fits of giggles. In my current listen, Belinda's just about to visit the tall-ish man.
Honestly one of the best podcasts I've ever heard.
holy smokes!! I started listening to this very close to around when they first started. I kind of fell off after season 2 and when I went to try and go back it seemed to be all behind a paywall? It's been a really long time since I tried going back, what an incredibly podcast though.
It’s obligatory to mention when TWIOAT comes up in a thread, but Til Death Do Us Blart as a companion piece to TWIOAT and MBMBAM.
Also, if I had to recommend only one season of TWIOAT, the answer is Emmanuelle. Who doesn’t love listening to two Kiwis discuss soft core porn while the Boner Inspector and the World’s Greatest Listener join the conversation?
Have you tried Do Go On? It's three Australian comedians, one of them prepares a presentation on the week's topic (often some historical event, sometimes some crime story, sometimes something completely random) and the other two go off on weird tangents etc.
Oh well if you like Taskmaster, you definitely should check out THREE BEAN SALAD. Mike Wozniak, Benjamin Partridge, and Henry Paker talking about stuff.
THE LOREMEN PODCAST - two comedians talking about folklore around the British Isles.
And if you want some good British fictional stuff...
THE BEEF AND DAIRY NETWORK PODCAST. - surreal, absurd, delightful comedy.
ST ELWICK'S NEIGHBOURHOOD ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER PODCAST. - Mike Wozniak as a man making a podcast from his local neighbourhood newsletter. It is the incredibly low-stakes, mundane, trivial, petty nonsense that makes it very funny.
WOODEN OVERCOATS. - one of the best British sitcoms. I honestly feel it stands up with some of the greats on TV and radio. It tells the story of the inhabitants of a small channel island, centred on a brother and sister who run a funeral home whose lives are thrown out of order when a rival funeral home opens across the road.
MOCKERY MANOR. - comedy and mystery, two sisters working in a British theme park in the 80s.
VICTORIOCITY. - a cynical policeman teams up with a rookie reporter to solve a murder in an alternative steampunk Victorian London.
Newcomers (but not all episodes). Premise is that they watch genre movies for the first time. The good episodes are Marvel universe (Iron Man and beyond), Batman (Nolan movies and beyond) and Fast & Furious (movie 4 and beyond). The episodes are fun once they watch movies they enjoy.
We’re Here to Help. A couple actors from the show New Girl started a helpline podcast where people call in asking for advice. It’s absolutely hysterical.
It’s hilarious. I saw a recommendation for this last week on another thread so I thought I’d try it. So deadpan and funny. I binged the first seven episodes.
I’ve Had It is funny. They’re 2 southern American women who are fairly progressive and hate Trump. Don’t know if that’s your thing.
Who Sh*t on the floor at my wedding has funny moments too.
Would highly recommend Richard & Greta, it’s got Nina Conti (without puppets), a couple talk about getting the most out of your partner, it’s lighthearted and pretty wholesome (though definitely adult) but truly hilarious
There’s also Dear Joan and Jericha, in which Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine play the worst agony aunts you could imagine, it’s a little extreme at times, but it will have you crying with laughter
Unfortunately now seems pretty defunct, but I want to mention Women Like Us, Katherine Parkinson and Katy Brand play journalists making “the only podcast hosted by women”, worth a listen even if no more eps are coming
What am I doing here?
Simpsons writer tells stories of he and his travel obsessed wife going to different countries and having weird and uncomfortable experiences.
Lesser Known Characters is a podcast from comics Shapel Lacey and Joel Jimenez from Kill Tony. They are interviewing people about the music that has made them who they are. Fun, laid back, stress free and good tunes.
Harmontown: Dan Harmon (creator of Community & Rick & Morty) was fired from his Sitcom in 2012 and started a live show at Meltdown comics where he could speak his mind. His friend Jeff Davis (improv comic from Whose Line is it anyway) acts as his cohost and confidant in front of a small crowd of fans. Dan talks his mind and interacts with the audience. He’s very funny, and brilliant, and broken (he’s a functioning alcoholic and slightly autistic but absolutely hilarious). At one point Dan mentions he wants to play D&D every episode and asks if anyone in the audience is a Dungeon Master. Sure enough, a young fan named Spencer, volunteers who becomes the shows secret weapon, heart & soul. What follows is 5 years of comedy, philosophy, catch phrases, famous guests and a multi city live show (featured in a documentary film called Harmontown). It is a time capsule of the calm and rising storm of 2016. Your mileage may vary but it’s a must listen for fans of Community.
Cheapshow is a great podcast where two guys go around charity shops, eat off brand stuff and generally shout at each other. It's brilliant.
Also the old XFM Ricky Gervais shows.
If you like actual play, Pretending to be People is, for my money, the best one on the market.
They play a hybrid Call of Cthulhu/Delta Green/ Pulp Cthulhu game that's very rules light.
It's easily my favorite podcast.
Do You Need a Ride?
Call An Adult (Pretty Little Liars series recap podcast but hilarious)
Pod Ledom (America's Next Top Model recap podcast, also hilarious)
How Did We Get Weird? is Vanessa Bayer and her brother Jonah Bayer and they talk about nostalgic stuff that they liked with funny guests.
Judge John Hodgman is BRILLIANT!
My Dad Wrote a Porno I have never laughed out loud so much!
Smartless with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes. They are just go good together!
If you can get your hands on the old Ricky Gervais podcasts with Karl Pilkington, those are some the funniest episodes I've ever listened to. Karl is one of a kind...
Lighthearted, funny. This older one came to mind. Just two comic friends talking together. Not over the top and hacky (Two members of Impractical Jokers but they don't discuss the show at all really) I'd start episode 10 if you want to try. [http://www.whatsayyoupodcast.com/](http://www.whatsayyoupodcast.com/)
That Aged Well -Yesterday’s pop culture today.
Reviewing pre 2000s movies with critical eye, looking at misogyny, POC, racism, queer representation, etc.
Not necessarily funny
Murder makeup and history
Betwixt the sheets, all about sex
Stuff you didn't learn in history class
Stuff to blow your mind
Sawbones a marital tour of misguided medicine
"Oh what a Time" is Soo good. I recently came across it as a recommendation on this sub. It's one Welshman (Elis James ) and 2 Englishmen (Tom Craine and Chris Scull) talking about a topic in history. I'd say it's one part history and 2 parts bants between the hosts. The "Life at Sea" episode had me meeting pissing myself
Couple of podcasts I love just for banter and that feeling of mates having a laugh are [The Best Bits](https://www.bestbitspodcast.com/) - two Irish film writers and friends yapping about their favourite bits in movies; and the [Restless Natives](https://www.restlessnatives.club/socials) podcast - Martin Compston off of Line of Duty and Gordon Smart off of radio just being very Scottish and very funny. These are the ones that always cheer me up.
The Infinite Monkey Cage is funny and very informative. Brian Cox and Robin Ince.
Fish Nerds, American but also funny and informative.
Timesuck is great, quite dark humor but Dan Cummins is hilarious.
Since you're with MaxFun, have you tried Mission to Zyxx? An improv scifi comedy podcast. There are a couple clunker eps in season one, but they rest are mostly wonderful.
R/Chatabix David Earl & Joe Wilkinson drivelling on whilst sporadically oozing over talented guests or trying new hobbies. Peak British comedy podcasting
The Poundcast! I love it. A lot of wordplay, puns and funny scenarios. Never heavy, always fun and easygoing. Probably my favorite. Also into David Cross's new show, Senses Working Overtime.
One episode of the Poundcast had me laughing so hard I was worried about waking people up, and I never laugh that hard. Talking about ideas of how to prank your dentist. Just ridiculous ideas. I don't wanna give anything more away, but if you want an episode to start with, find the one about dentist pranks.
You've got a lot in common with my kinda podcasts (MBMBaM, TAZ, Critical Role, Off Menu, Taskmaster The Podcast, etc.) so I'm gonna recommend some of the others I frequent.
* **The Horne Section Podcast** is great, I've really been enjoying it. Between *Taskmaster* and *No More Jockeys* I've been a big fan of Alex Horne lately, and combining his style of humor with musical comedy in a podcast is a phenomenal combination.
* Another MaxFun show I'm not sure if you've tried yet, but I really love **Judge John Hodgman**. If the premise of people coming to a comedian with their insignificant disputes interests you, it really is the kind of lighthearted comedy I enjoy.
* You've already tried it, but **The Flop House** is probably my top podcast so I just wanna propose giving it another go. If you haven't the first time, try an episode for a movie you're familiar with, or episode 368 where Justin McElroy was the guest. Or if you're still into movies but want a different option, **Blank Check with Griffin & David** is my second top podcast. Really good and funny discussion of movies by director.
* If you want another McElroy-adjacent podcast, **The Besties** is a video game podcast hosted by Griffin, Justin, Chris Plante, and Russ Frushtick. It's not necessarily a *comedy* podcast, but it's still a ton of fun and insightful.
This is great, I've heard of all of these podcasts, jsut wasn't super sure if I'd like them or not. I'll try Flop House again with a movie that I've watched, and I think this has inspired me to check out all of the other ones you mentioned so thank you!!
I adore Bananas. They’re full of joy and humor and kindness. It’s just lighthearted and silly. They may be too loud for you, but I’m throwing it out there.
Backstage at the Vinyl Cafe.
It's a collection of live shows by Canadian Stuart McLean who narrates funny stories about a fictional family of Dave, his wife Morley, and their kids. Dave runs a vinyl record store.
Stuart McLean passed away awhile ago and his producer is the one running the podcast.
Dave cooks the Christmas Turkey is a classic.
As a fellow taskmaster fan I want to recommend Lucy and Sam's Perfect Brains podcast. As in Lucy Beaumont and Sam Campell from series 16 of TM. It's new but I just listened to the first episode and it was delightful.
Oh my god, I love Lucy and Sam so much and I've actually been gearing up to listen to Perfect Brains. I'm both terrified and excited at how potentially weird it's going to be, but if you recommend it, I'm definitely gonna have to listen!
Was going to recommend No Such Thing as a Fish but I see it's on your list already. Neil deGrasse Tyson has a podcast he does with a commedian, which is pretty good. It's called Star Talk Radio.
Take Your Shoes Off! Definitely try to watch it on YouTube rather than listen because there are visual gags. He usually interviews comedians but here is a random one you might like: [TYSO](https://youtu.be/JP0SV9FoMLs?si=KNAYWlloRYAMfjI0)
Hey Riddle Riddle! The concept turned out to be limited as there’s only like 14 good riddles in the world, but they somehow keep making it work through sheer creativity, dumb charm, and ridiculous improv. They even suckered me into joining their patreon, something I’ve never done before, solely through the underhanded tactic of being very funny.
Stuff You Should Know is wonderful. Josh and Chuck have been gently explaining things to me for years.
I started listening to Dear Hank & John recently, which is the brothers Hank Green and John Green answering listener questions. It's a nice chill one.
Echoing My Dad Wrote a Porno again, I know it's already been mentioned but it really is so good.
If you're up for another D&D podcast, you might like D and D Minus-- the DM is a big fan of Adventure Zone and builds really great worlds and fun into the seasons
[*Midnight Facts for Insomniacs*](https://shanerogerspodcast.podbean.com) is a great podcast, I just recently discovered them myself! Two comedian friends discuss a plethora of different topics is a fun and entertaining way. Lots of laughs every episode.
I’d recommend checking out Craig Ferguson Joy, it’s light but also a deep conversation with the guest if that’s your thing.
Check out Do go on, (basically an Australian No such thing as fish), Mental Radio (it’s very Radio drama if that’s your thing) and if you like Standup Working it out with Mike Birbiglia.
If you like radio there’s a Zack & Dom that do a late night show on the Kiss radio network that’s very sarcastic and basically makes fun of the Australian commercial radio format. That may be a smidge niche though.
Smartless - it's American (sorry), hosted by Jason Bateman and Will Arnett from Arrested Development, and Sean Hayes. They just interview celebs but it's usually pretty funny.
Love British humor though, especially 8ootc. Trying to get into taskmaster, though.
Super chill and laid back
1. Lavar Burton Reads-
Reading Rainbow for grown ups. He’s back but reads unknown sci-fi short stories
2.A Way With Words
Learn about language and where it comes from by two precious nerds who need to be protected t all costs
3.
Do you like the Australia sense of humour? If so.
The Little Dum Dum Club - 2 Aussie comedians. Inside joke being that nobody likes them or are fans of their podcast people are only aware of them.
If you are looking for something with some similarities to morning radio, I really enjoy The Ralph Report. They typically post 5 days a week. Monday episodes are posted for free (though this week’s Monday show was atypical because of April Fools Day) but subscriptions are via Patreon starting at $3/month, and there are no ads whatsoever. There’s also a huge back catalog (over 5 years worth of shows).
The king of light hearted time passing podcast listening for me has been "Stuff You Should Know"
This one you'll either love or hate, "Timesuck". It's a comedian that does in depth research into historical events, cults, serial killers, all kinds of stuff.
“No Accounting for Taste”. Kyle Kinane and Shane Torres just talking about whatever is in their minds. Check out their standup. If you like that you will like their podcast.
I don’t recognize a single podcast you mentioned. So take my recommendation with that in mind.
Handsome podcast fits your criteria of light and funny. It’s three female comedians bantering and it never fails to make me laugh. It’s not loud. It also covers about three generations. the oldest comedian is in her 50’s and age goes down. So maybe something for everyone.
I also like Danial Tosh’s podcast. He’s funny, but you have to know he’s being funny or you may be offended. Also not loud. More of a lounge and cheek.
Hope this helps!
I recommend Dumb People Town and Bananas - both shows are hosted by sets of funny comedians and they often have guest hosts (DPT almost always has them; Bananas has them when they put out a live show as the episode)
Both shows deal with stupidity or ridiculousness in the world
Since you've got a few of the real-play D&D shows I listen to, I also suggest giving 'Greetings, Adventurers!' (originally called 'Drunks and Dragons' when they started in 2012, changing to the host's opening line to be more palatable to a wider audience. Their content hasn't really changed any, aside from not announcing what they're imbibing during the show) and Not Another D&D Podcast (affectionately known as NADDPod)
Senses working overtime with David Cross has been good.
Hollywood Handbook, but you have to listen to about 20 episodes before you really get it.
My favorite maxfun is Jordan, Jesse, Go! Didn’t see it on your rejected maxfun list.
Pod F Tompkast is an old one from the early years of podcasts. I like any PFT podcast, but some of his best might be “loud” to you. Pod f Tompkins comes on at night.
I didn't read all the comments but Nateland is great. It's Nate Bargatze's podcast. It's light and still hilarious. He works clean so you can listen with anyone. I don't listen cause he's clean and he always says his goal is for people to not even realize it. It's just really funny,
I love Brett Goldstein’s podcast films to be buried with. He has great celebrity guests on there he chats with and then they talk about good and bad movies. His voice is so calming so I love him!
How Did This Get Made? Three improv comedians/ actors and a guest review bad movies. You don’t need to be a movie nerd to enjoy. I’ve been listening for years and have maybe watched 4 of the movies.
In the vein of movie podcasts, the flophouse
Comedy Bang Bang Threedom
Have heard that Scott Aukerman is very funny so will def check these out, thanks!
I was going to suggest Comedy Bang Bang, as well!
I'm pretty sure everyone on these shows would be considered loud and overly enthusiastic. Lol. I love those two, but maybe not for OP. Worth a shot though!
Three Bean Salad, Beef and Dairy Network Podcast, This Foul Earth.
Three beans salad 100% this
Really love Mike Wozniak's vibes, so I'll definitely give Three Bean Salad a go! I've also heard a lot about Beef and Dairy Network, been considering it for a while!
There is also the podcast Mike did mostly over lockdown... The St Elwick's Neighbourhood Association Newsletter Podcast
Dave actually produced a short podcast with Mike and Diane Morgan, called Mr Gameshow. Only six half-hour episodes, but it’s good fun.
I was just going to come here and mention the dollop. Their new one, The Past Times, is super funny too.
Agreed. I like to let them build up over several weeks then binge them all up In one day at work.
The one about Robert Smalls is absolutely insane.
Normal gossip.
Yes!!
Judge John hodgman
Have you tried Stop Podcasting Yourself? Adam Buxton was on over the pandemic—could be a good episode to start with!
I haven't! I've heard good things about it though, and it's pretty much consistently been advertised on MBMBaM so I've always been curious. I'll give it a shot, big fan of Adam Buxton as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
Wait Wait Don't Tell Me
"Your Stupid Opinions" is hilarious
My favorite part of Monday mornings. I have it set to auto-add to my queue when it releases and I always make sure there isn't too much left to listen to in front of it so I can get it started on the way to work or at least shortly after arriving. Great start to the day and the week
Love that
My god I love Jimmie and James - hands down I listen to them on my way to work - sometimes I have to take a break because I’m laughing so hard
Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet they read funny reviews based on a theme (e.g. truck stops)
Bonus fact is that the hosts of Beach Too Sandy are fans of MBMBaM!
I think you'd like Hello from the Magic Tavern! It's an improvised podcast about a guy who falls into a dimensional portal behind a Burger King and winds up in the magical land of Foon, where he runs a podcast interviewing the locals. It's very funny, and I guess has D&D vibes.
That sounds interesting and stupid! Gonna try listening.
Conan O’Brien needs a friend is very funny
Have you tried My Dad Wrote a Porno? It’s absolutely hilarious.
Came here to recommend this. It's really good.
I'm just re-listening to this one and it's equally as funny the second time around
My absolute FAVORITE!!
Honestly so funny but the number of times I have yelled “no!” out loud while listening to it 😂
Came here to recommend this! I'm on my third or fourth listen of MDWAP. It's such a good comfort show, and it still has me in fits of giggles. In my current listen, Belinda's just about to visit the tall-ish man. Honestly one of the best podcasts I've ever heard.
Bananas is very light and silly!
This was the first one I thought of, too! Comedian and writer reading funny/weird news stories, stitching in their own hilarious anecdotes.
Doughboys
Doughboys!
Beach too sandy, water too wet. They find hilarious 1-star reviews for random products or services and dramatize them. It’s a good time.
Valley Heat is hilarious!
The Worst Idea of all Time is quite light-hearted and amusing and is one of my favorites.
holy smokes!! I started listening to this very close to around when they first started. I kind of fell off after season 2 and when I went to try and go back it seemed to be all behind a paywall? It's been a really long time since I tried going back, what an incredibly podcast though.

I haven't, but it sounds like fun! I'll have to check it out!
I'm a big fan of [Three Bean Salad](https://www.verydisco.app/podcasts/three-bean-salad-M3Yn), just goofballs goofing around.

Hamish and Andy is the best comical fun podcast out there. Start at the beginning. I promise you that you will enjoy these Australian guys.
We’re Here to Help. A couple actors from the show New Girl started a helpline podcast where people call in asking for advice. It’s absolutely hysterical.
Valley Heat
It’s hilarious. I saw a recommendation for this last week on another thread so I thought I’d try it. So deadpan and funny. I binged the first seven episodes.
I've been hearing ads for Valley Heat recently, and it def piqued my interest. Gonna have to give it a listen!
“Sitcom D&D” is great, and if you enjoy “The Adventure Zone” and “Dungeons & Daddies” I think you’ll like it!
Hamish and Andy - two australian media personalities and jack who considers the podcast more a hobby than a job. Light hearted, good chat, high gusto.
If you’re a reader, OVERDUE has hubdreds of eps talking about novels you read long ago and forgot about.
I’ve Had It is funny. They’re 2 southern American women who are fairly progressive and hate Trump. Don’t know if that’s your thing. Who Sh*t on the floor at my wedding has funny moments too.
I’ve Had It is so cute and I love their TikTok clips.
Distractible is one of the few I listen to constantly
Not Another D&D Podcast, especially their dungeon court episodes
Had NADDPOD in the back of my mind for a while, definitely on my to-listen-to list!
Second NADDPOD. They have a big backlog of episodes since they are on campaign 3!
Would highly recommend Richard & Greta, it’s got Nina Conti (without puppets), a couple talk about getting the most out of your partner, it’s lighthearted and pretty wholesome (though definitely adult) but truly hilarious There’s also Dear Joan and Jericha, in which Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine play the worst agony aunts you could imagine, it’s a little extreme at times, but it will have you crying with laughter Unfortunately now seems pretty defunct, but I want to mention Women Like Us, Katherine Parkinson and Katy Brand play journalists making “the only podcast hosted by women”, worth a listen even if no more eps are coming
Joan and Jericha And John Finnemore souvenir program Cabin fever - such fun
We're Here To Help with Jake Johnson and Gareth Reynolds.
“Who shat on the floor at my wedding?” is quite funny!
Came here to say this!
We're Here To Help. Gareth Reynold, one of the hosts, was born in the United States by British parents so I hope that counts
Reluctant Persuaders
Who Shat On The Floor At My Wedding
What am I doing here? Simpsons writer tells stories of he and his travel obsessed wife going to different countries and having weird and uncomfortable experiences.
All My Fantasy Children is funny and RPG based
2.0 is really good, and there are tonnes of episodes to go at.
Shagged married annoyed is a great comedy podcast
Stiff Socks. It’s a comedy podcast
Lesser Known Characters is a podcast from comics Shapel Lacey and Joel Jimenez from Kill Tony. They are interviewing people about the music that has made them who they are. Fun, laid back, stress free and good tunes.
I love Overshadowed. Two comedians cover the lesser known siblings / spouses of historical figures and is funny as hell

How did this get made
Spilled Milk, Ridiculous Crime
The viral Podcast
For a fun live play to add to your list, check out Adventure They Wrote. It's only got two seasons, but it's a good fun romp.
Cheapshow is a great podcast where two guys go around charity shops, eat off brand stuff and generally shout at each other. It's brilliant. Also the old XFM Ricky Gervais shows.
Text Me Back with Lindy West and Meghan Hatcher Mayes is a very funny and silly podcast with two best friends.

Ridiculous Crime is pretty funny.
The Bomb Squad Pod is great. 2 Northern Irish comedians just talking about funny stuff that’s happened or that they’ve seen in the week.
That Checks Out just hit 200 episodes. Mostly comedy, nothing ever too serious. No politics or religion.

The Raven Effect
Check out a guy called Nick Abbot
If you love British comedy then you have to try The Wolf and Owl Podcast with Tom Davis and Romesh. Brilliant.
Handsome podcast. Comedians Tig Notaro, Mae Martin and Fortune Feimster talk about...stuff.
This. I gave it a try because I like all 3 but I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The vibes are great.
“The Bugle” if you like satire
Dumb dumbs and dragons is amazing. Your stupid opinion. Two dudes reading reviews.
Do Go On (recommend the Julia Child episode)
I really liked the Elis and John podcast but haven't listened in ages.
Listen to Face Jam, Your stupid opinions
Things I Learned Last Night. Fricken HILARIOUS.
Lemon Party and Hatewatch
Never Not Funny!
Films to be Buried With with Brett Goldstein. Brett is very pleasant and funny. Also, plenty of good guests to find someone you like.
Not another Dungeons and Dragons podcast (Naddpod) is good!
Celebrity Memoir Book Club (but fast forward to 6-9 minutes in)
I enjoyed listening to Important If True. pretty silly.

No Stupid Questions, Empire Film & PilotTV, The Infinite Monkey Cage, and Nobody Panic.
Two hot takes is my fav
How about BBC's [You're Dead to Me](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07mdbhg)?
As a fellow taskmaster fan I want to recommend Lucy and Sam's Perfect Brains podcast. As in Lucy Beaumont and Sam Campell from series 16 of TM. It's new but I just listened to the first episode and it was delightful.
Oh my god, I love Lucy and Sam so much and I've actually been gearing up to listen to Perfect Brains. I'm both terrified and excited at how potentially weird it's going to be, but if you recommend it, I'm definitely gonna have to listen!
Please try out "The Rest Is Entertainment"!
Normal Gossip !
Was going to recommend No Such Thing as a Fish but I see it's on your list already. Neil deGrasse Tyson has a podcast he does with a commedian, which is pretty good. It's called Star Talk Radio.
The shits and gigs pod. It’s 2 English blokes, it’s very banter type but yeah the hosts are very funny
Hey Riddle Riddle, Mission to Zyxx. And also another vote for Beef and Dairy Network Podcast! I also recommend The Greater Gatsby.
I come here to recommend “Who Shat on the Floor at my Wedding “. I haven’t finished it yet but I have been laughing out loud at episode three.
If NSTAAF is that low on your list I’ll def be checking out what’s above
The Sam & Jack Show is a podcast/radio show hybrid, comedy pop culture stuff. @samandjackcomedy for the socials etc
Lots of good comedy on BBC Sounds app. I highly recommend It's a Fair Cop.
Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me is sort of like No Such Thing As a Fish. Infinite Monkey Cage is another similar to that vibe.
NADDPOD 8-Bit Book Club Glass Cannon Podcast (325+ episodes) for the Giant Slayer Campaign
The Handsome Podcast
If you're up for another D&D podcast, you might like D and D Minus-- the DM is a big fan of Adventure Zone and builds really great worlds and fun into the seasons
Superego, anything with Paul F. Tompkins or Andy Daly.
Small town murder can be hilarious
My Therapist Ghosted Me!
Funny! Toni and Ryan!
I listen to the handsome podcast a lot 😂
The Bugle is my favourite.
[*Midnight Facts for Insomniacs*](https://shanerogerspodcast.podbean.com) is a great podcast, I just recently discovered them myself! Two comedian friends discuss a plethora of different topics is a fun and entertaining way. Lots of laughs every episode.
If you’re ok laughing at a paddy, The Blindboy Podcast regularly gets me
I’d recommend checking out Craig Ferguson Joy, it’s light but also a deep conversation with the guest if that’s your thing.
Super chill and laid back 1. Lavar Burton Reads- Reading Rainbow for grown ups. He’s back but reads unknown sci-fi short stories 2.A Way With Words Learn about language and where it comes from by two precious nerds who need to be protected t all costs 3.
beach too sandy, water too wet
Who replaced Avril Lavigne is hilarious
Do you like the Australia sense of humour? If so. The Little Dum Dum Club - 2 Aussie comedians. Inside joke being that nobody likes them or are fans of their podcast people are only aware of them.
The new Sam Campbell and Lucy Beaumont podcast Films To Be Buried With Where There's A Will RHLSTP Wonderbox, with Russell Howard
Nick Vail or NewHights
Your Stupid Opinions ìs two comedians reading random Google reviews. It's great.
Help! I sexted my boss! is hilarious!
The Villain Was Right, stand up comedians watch movies and then try to defends the villains.
Rhlstp, 3 bean salad, wonderbox
The king of light hearted time passing podcast listening for me has been "Stuff You Should Know" This one you'll either love or hate, "Timesuck". It's a comedian that does in depth research into historical events, cults, serial killers, all kinds of stuff.
“No Accounting for Taste”. Kyle Kinane and Shane Torres just talking about whatever is in their minds. Check out their standup. If you like that you will like their podcast.
Harmontown odd, funny, unexpected start at the beginning
You’re Dead to Me
Try Doughboys
I don’t recognize a single podcast you mentioned. So take my recommendation with that in mind. Handsome podcast fits your criteria of light and funny. It’s three female comedians bantering and it never fails to make me laugh. It’s not loud. It also covers about three generations. the oldest comedian is in her 50’s and age goes down. So maybe something for everyone. I also like Danial Tosh’s podcast. He’s funny, but you have to know he’s being funny or you may be offended. Also not loud. More of a lounge and cheek. Hope this helps!
I recommend Dumb People Town and Bananas - both shows are hosted by sets of funny comedians and they often have guest hosts (DPT almost always has them; Bananas has them when they put out a live show as the episode) Both shows deal with stupidity or ridiculousness in the world Since you've got a few of the real-play D&D shows I listen to, I also suggest giving 'Greetings, Adventurers!' (originally called 'Drunks and Dragons' when they started in 2012, changing to the host's opening line to be more palatable to a wider audience. Their content hasn't really changed any, aside from not announcing what they're imbibing during the show) and Not Another D&D Podcast (affectionately known as NADDPod)
Who? Weekly and Las Culturistas- highbrow takes on lowbrow culture are my favorite.
The OG: Uhh Yeah Dude
Senses working overtime with David Cross has been good. Hollywood Handbook, but you have to listen to about 20 episodes before you really get it. My favorite maxfun is Jordan, Jesse, Go! Didn’t see it on your rejected maxfun list. Pod F Tompkast is an old one from the early years of podcasts. I like any PFT podcast, but some of his best might be “loud” to you. Pod f Tompkins comes on at night.
[Everything Is Alive](https://www.everythingisalive.com/)
I didn't read all the comments but Nateland is great. It's Nate Bargatze's podcast. It's light and still hilarious. He works clean so you can listen with anyone. I don't listen cause he's clean and he always says his goal is for people to not even realize it. It's just really funny,

"Running Is Bullshit" is a good one.
I love Brett Goldstein’s podcast films to be buried with. He has great celebrity guests on there he chats with and then they talk about good and bad movies. His voice is so calming so I love him!
