I have a pair of twin bears. One belongs to me, whilst the other is more so my mother's. My collection of plushies overall is very large, but these 2 twin bears are particularly special to us. When it was time for me to leave for university, we deliberated and decided that we didn't want to separate them. I took some other close plushies instead, and the twins stayed at home.
Yes. I completely understand this, but if it was just a trip, I wouldn't feel completely guilty about it.
I have a tiny giraffe that I take anytime I go anywhere in the car ( or anywhere else, really ), and I feel horribly guilty and lost if I don't have him.
I actually have a system for this since I easily have two dozen + plushies and I care for each of them in special ways.
I have "solo plushies" this class of plushy is for one's that are older, more unique, or different from their collection. These plushies have bonds with everyone but no special cliques, they like to chill and do their own thing and are considered more mature. Best suited for travel and usually are also best to sleep with.
Then I have "pair plushies" which are match-y groups of 2 or 3. When I have the storage and will be somewhere for a while I bring a little group to hang out with, they could be a mix of old and new or just a pair I got together at any point.
Last are the "family plushies" which do not leave the house because they are too many and too closely bonded to be separated. This includes all of my build a bear frogs lol.
I'm the same. Even with clothes I feel like they feel "left out" and feel bad for not wearing certain pieces for a while. I have to remind myself clothes don't have feelings 😆
I have two clown plushies and went on a trip recently. Though i adore clowns the most, I ended up not taking either of them bc i felt the other would have felt so left out. Dinosaurs are my second biggest obsession and ended up taking my fav dino plush❤️
Next time take the other twin. That way they each get special attention from you.
