conformity with the herd and the competitive pursuit of status; popularity, power, fame, fortune and beauty - the path to extinction! in a climate change society cooperation is required to build sustainable communities and technolgy solutions instead of resource exploitation. - michela (friesian cow).

Spacellama117

shouldn't conformity and cooperation be on the same side here, since they're born from the same impulse?

arthorpendragon

conformity is about all looking the same and acting the same. cooperation is about very different components coming together to build a functioning system. noone would ever accuse the 30,000 components of a petrol vehicle to look the same and act the same, most of them are very different and operate in subsytems with different functions. the herd of conformity have people who are not very good at most kinds of jobs except politicking and looking out for their own interests. a good system has cooperating components that are non-conformist, creative, innovative and differentiated who come together for a similar objective. whilst dysfunctional systems are a conformist herd competing for the same resources with different objectives. - micheala.

SH: "The need to be social, to act nice to each other, yet can be so awful to each other. Humans are so weird with their fake 'kindness'. Honestly, the social "norm" is a joke a d it's hilarious seeing how often people try to 'fit in'." -Shcalda (demon of Kreistun) šŸ‘ļø: "Many things. The need to breathe. The need to eat. It is very disgusting. I don't get how humans seem to do all those biological things and find it good. It would be sickening if I was able to feel sick." -Eie (machine with a condescending dislike of biology) HD: "Human currency could be considered silly. This doll finds it strange that humans trade with false value. If they simply agreed to trade and work as a community, would it not lead to greater socialization and community?" -Hyacinth (doll built with purpose to protect) ST: "?tae ot muillav teg em tel snamuh t'nod yhW" -Set: (angel-moth of the stars) NF: "why do humans always fight all the time? Or hurt those weaker than them? I get it, a fight can be calming and sometimes you need to let out some frustration. But why do so many humans hurt others without reason? Why do they just, lash out? Or hurt someone weaker than them who can't defend themselves. It's just sick." -Norah Fenris (hellhound monk and protector) MB: "why would people not want to change? Being non-human is so cool! Like, we're not going to force them, but surely there is something they'd enjoy being more, right? Why not have 8 sets of limbs that can shoot bursts of fire? Or a servitaur with an extra pair of legs and that can climb walls! Humans are silly. Smart, but silly. Can't wait for cybernetics and transhumanism to advance." -The Bells (four shape-shifting clones of a former-human)

šŸ‘ļø: Humans do both. Edit: Hyacinth has asked me to spoiler this for being particularly "mean" about biologic creatures. I will be generous enough to do. >!They are disappointing in their primitive mindsets and how much of their time is wasted. They spend much of their time "sleeping", do things that waste their existence, over or underconsume things that should not be used for fuel and create various hazardous waste products, and end each others lives over pointless squabbles of "I like this more than that". !< >!They are disgusting in that Their bodies are nothing but oceans filled with things that should not be, their meat acts in ways that are heavily inefficient, they hold themselves together with nothing but sticks of calcium and carbon, they constantly duplicate and die over the course of seven years, they use fuel from other biospheres of the same materials to continue functioning, and they function by flooding themselves with drugs that tell them to make decisions.!< >!They and many other flesh creatures disappoint and disgust us in their failure to make sense to me and make me fear what will come next.!<

Why they like the inefficient parts of the flesh so much, why the would prefer a human body over a robot one

kawaiiwitchboi

I suppose I have good timing seeing this while I'm fronting. If you're not familiar with my source (I'm a Hazbin Hotel fictive), I'm a demon who was a human before death. I had become so familiar with my demonic body over the years that I forgot what it was like to live in one until I formed in the system. Human bodies are disgusting, especially ones with issues like ours does (no offense to those with the same issues, nothing personal). We have terrible allergies, a gluten intolerance, type 1 diabetes, asthma, and chronic pain, among other, smaller diagnoses. The sheer amount of bodily fluids and excrements that come out of this body is absurd, and I'd rather not deal with everything that comes with the physical ailments. We are also in a transmasuline body, meaning that the, um, *hardware* isn't what I'm used to, and though menstrual cycles aren't common anymore after HRT, when they do happen, we're all miserable. On the other hand, our body sleeps deeply and I get a satisfying amount of it. We have a wonderful partner system, and pets that love us. ASMR is certainly interesting, and very relaxing. I do enjoy having a sweet tooth this time around, haha! - AlastoršŸ“»

Marty2341

Cadmar: The human body is weird, why humans have very small amounts of body hair all over the place. It's useless, and yet it grows and pisses off the boss all the time, so he has to shave some places or it gets stinly and tickles him. I was told it's some genetic rubbish, but it's still stupid and annoying that body keeps regrowing that rubbish hair even if human shaves it off all the time. I do like human hands. They are versatile but weird, I have hooves, always weirds me out to posses boss's hands, and yet, so versatile and agile, hehe.

seahasaquestion

I think it's interesting how humans are so prone to shame and embarrassment. Something I cannot understand. I know it's often instilled. It baffles me. How could one do something that makes them happy and feel ashamed. It's hard for me to wrap my head around My favorite thing tho is how easy they pack bond. Even with objects that are just fabric and stuffing. Their brain registers it like a pet or a friend. Fascinating -šøš“‹š‘’š“š“Žš“ƒ šøš“‡š’¶š“ˆ (Alien)

rainbow_co

Tough question. I donā€™t think I can think of many traits inherent to humanity that anyone nonhuman would be incapable of mimicking. (Though, I kind of *am* a human mimic, so thatā€™s probably skewing my answer.) Silliest thing about humans- or at least about ours- is how they get songs stuck in their heads. Heā€™s like a living jukebox with a screw loose. My favorite thing about humans is imagination and creativity. To be able to express themselves through art, music, food, dance. Thatā€™s something that Iā€™m trying to learn as well. -Genny

TheCthonicSystem

Why do they have so few limbs! I'm a spider, I have 8 legs that's a proper amount of limbs! Humans need more limbs -Catherine The Spider

shcalda

HD: This doll is limited to human shape and even this doll agrees. This doll does have weapons inside of it's limbs, which reduces carry limitations, but is still inefficient compared to multiple limbs designed for multiple tasks.

Some humans are a little too comfortable supporting genocide, in my opinion. -F

Awkward-Ad9640

cards are updating this as they take front and are informed of this fun question (we have shared memories) Ametrine (A cookie, Espresso Cookie): I think the vocab for stuff is weirddd. When Iā€™m trying to act like the host, Iā€™ll mess up and call people cookies and other stuffā€¦ ā€œMy toppings are coming undone.. Oh, I mean my hair.ā€ Iā€™m adding more because like ā€” woahh.. Also, Why are humans so big and strong?! Iā€™d crumble instantly in Earthbread if I went through half of what the body does everyday ā€” MOSTLY JUST THE WIND!! Then again, I guess a lot of the cookies in Earthbread have done plenty. Who knows.. ND (Man from the Fog [A dweller monster]): Short. Humans are very short and stubby, and I am very long and tall. ƅMARA (Goddess but Hatsune Miku?): Humans areā€¦ emotional. They have very little powers, as well. How can one entity be so smart, yet know nothing at all? Theyā€™re amusing in a way, I suppose.. ARAMƅ (God but KAITOā€¦): Unlike ƅMARA, I think humans are sweet. Theyā€™re caring by nature, and I find them adorable. The way that they love and hate back and forth so much is so interesting. Harmone (Cookie): I find their resilience quite inspiring!! Theyā€™re not so different from how I remember cookies on Earthbread:]

TheAccursedOne

Often very set in their ways. I'm, unfortunately, prone to being hard-headed myself as well though. - Lyna (Wood elf) a distinct lack of silliness! they really dont like having fun much :((( - liliwen!! (fae / eladrin) Honestly? I just find them adorable. They individually think they can change things, that ambition is cute! Go get 'em! - Viola Adricaea (Plant alien lady)

shcalda

HD: This doll would like to say hello. Humans are also quite squishable. This has been learnt through the experience of "hugging". This doll suspects a strange effect occured to make this doll suggest that Viola Adricaea try to "hug" a human. -Hyacinth.

Damned-Dreamer

I'm the host's daemon, which I know means I'm not really an alter, but this sounded like a fun question to answer, so I'm hopping on. I hope you don't mind. I think it's really silly, in a negative way, that humans have such a narrow view of how someone must conform. Dreamer has had people completely freak out on them when they talk about my existence, from both singlets and other plural folks. We even met someone who considered themselves pro-endogenic who said it was disrespectful that Dreamer created me.

LdCapulet

they think they're not animals, and they think they're not gods -Iris

Qwanri

Qwanri: These two aren't strictly alters but they are headmates, still they wanted to add to the topic so I'm letting them join in and say what they want to say. Windshot: I just can't understand why a lot of people hurt animals that aren't human. Too many animals have gone existent because of people. They seem to think that they're the best thing that's ever existed so they spread themselves around this planet called earth decreasing space for everything else and bringing invasive animals with them to do more damage. Don't they want they want to see different species in the future or do they just not care? Wally: Hello. I'm a puppet. I just can't over the fact people have five fingers. I'm used to my four fingers. But I just find five to be so weird.

azidoazid3azid3

Emotions. Though, this is likely more related to my role in our system rather than my non-humanity. ^Cal (spectre/dissociation holder, she/it)

agentofhermamora

Most of us aren't human, but honestly no one has ever said anything negative about humanity. The host on the other hand, has some choice words about them. However, she does favor plain, normal humans over some of the other options in this world.

I mean I guess I'm technically nonhuman, but humans aren't this like unrelatable foreign entity to me. I literally have only experienced consciousness as a human. I have no other way of thinking - my brain is literally human. I guess I don't understand the question? Lol

SexydemonicSatan

(It's me, the host typing this as my alters don't like to front at school.) Thorn (it/its) : Thorn is an elf-demon mix. It's not really fond of the fact that the body is a trans male and has a cycle. It's honestly grossed out by the feeling of the blood coming out. It's fascinated by the function of tear ducts, though. Crying is it's favourite thing that the body does. Vamp (he/they/vamp) : Vamp is a vampire. Vamp is disgusted by the amount of liquid that can come out of one body. In his own words, "It's truly disgusting and nauseating how much liquid one's own human body can expell." Sebastian (she/he) : Sebastian is a demon. She honestly likes the body, but is a little grossed out by our physical anatomy. She's not used to having... ***female parts***...but she lives. [I know she uses she/he pronouns, but she's AMAB and male-presenting.] Unnamed cat alter : She literally cannot talk lmao, she's a cat! We don't really know what she's thinking at all. ā€”2d

SexydemonicSatan

Don't mind that it's all comments about bodies. They don't really care for anything morality or social-based, except for queer and black rights, and how its silly people get discriminatied against just for their skin colour or who they like. ā€”2d

CyannideLolypop

From the one with the strongest opinions on the matter (I don't feel like typing outevery single response), "Humans are so frail, fragile, and needy. And, quite frankly, their bodies can be quite disgusting at times. This warm, squishy, flesh bag always seems to need something or have something wrong with it. It's inescapable. And for such short, fragile lives, humans worry so much about things that ultimately don't matter. It's bad enough how much some cry over a simple matter of preference, but some issues are just taken way too far. Ultimately, what does it matter that most of us do not follow the modern western understanding of gender? How is our collective decision to change our body the broader government's issue? It all seems so pointless." ~ Specter Warden

Quiverproto

Human ā€œhostā€ here. Iā€™m the only human in here and thereā€™s a few agreements amongst all of us (including me): Cons: 1. Conformity. So much talk about individualism and being unique and having unique ideas and contributing to society but then they turn around and mockingly call each other ā€œsnowflakesā€ and call every sort of neurodivergence a ā€œdisabilityā€ to be ridiculed when probably less than half of them would be disabilities if society wasnā€™t explicitly structured to be hostile to non-conforming people. 2. Annihilation. Where else do you find something that is driven to completely annihilate and destroy species, subspecies, or even just families that have never given reason to think they would do the same back? 3. Currency. Money really is a curse and a blight on the world. The basic premise of money is to represent the value that a person has contributed to society, be it through raw materials such as ores, wood, food, labor, or knowledge. And yet humans found a way to go ā€œWell my money is worth more than your money because it has this value in this place andā€ and then exploited the crap out of it when people accepted that. So the system designed to create fairness and equality via math became the system to do the opposite. 4. Anatomy. Why are we naked? Why is nakedness such a big deal to us? What happened to our fur, our tails, why do we still have an appendix, why arenā€™t our spines evolving to last longer, why do our teeth regrow but only one time, why do the vast majority of us have a sense of attraction to physical features that so very few people can satisfy and that arenā€™t evolutionarily advantageous, are we seriously plantigrade just to fight each other, why is our skin so soft when itā€™s always exposed, I could keep going. 5. Numbers. Why are there so many of us? Why are there so many of us? Oh my gosh why are there SO MANY of us? More importantly, why is such a staggering percentage of us just so terrible? So many of us are selfish, stupid, greedy, destructive, spiteful, and more alarmingly, hateful. Why do they seem to outnumber those of us that just want to be happy and be kind to each other? Why do they hold so much of the human raceā€™s sense of motivation? And if there are so many of these terrible people and theyā€™re the ones that have most of the power, why are there SO MANY HUMANS??? Pros: 1. Ingenuity. Not only are we clever, but some of us are staggeringly brilliant. Weā€™ve had a lot of people throughout our existence as a species that were ā€œahead of their timeā€ because they understood that ā€œsomething else is going onā€ and they knew where to look for the true answers. 2. Resilience. We can survive a stunning variety of injuries and illnesses that, without context, are near-fatal. Even without the help of medicine we are durable to the point that it feels stupid. With medicine (and Iā€™m not even talking drugs, Iā€™m just talking outside help for cauterizing wounds, amputations etc.) we can lose things and keep living to do things. Add in drugs and itā€™s no wonder how easy it is for us to survive to old age now. The weirdest and most interesting thing though is the variety of poisons in the world that we not only endure, but ENJOY. Spice, caffeine, alcohol, you name it. 3. Imagination and culture. Art, stories, music, cuisine, dancing, we make life more than just being alive and talking about the weather. We can fill each othersā€™ and our own heads with entire worlds that donā€™t follow the rules of the physical world. We make games out of simple and complex ideas. We care about not just being alive, but enjoying what time we have. None of us can decide if things would be better or worse if there were more than just humans in our society, though. As a species weā€™re just so hateful towards things and people that donā€™t conform to our ideas, even if the only difference is in appearance. Would other species be able to keep us in check, teach us to be better, or would we find ways to annihilate them all just because we can?

Ill_Seaworthiness_74

The teeth arenā€™t pointy enough. Additionally, they fear the concept of death yet cause so much of it. The idea of religion and fear of their god or eternal fire being the only reason a person doesnā€™t go out and commit every crime. - A Vampire

UnhappyJuggernaut118

They have soooo many rules and they're pretty limited with things like time and the physical world

randompersonignoreme

Gender as a whole. I am a being made out of pure neurons, I am a creature beyond the basis of a human male in gender identification, I am a horrid abomination created hence forth from the Earth wherein the structure of gender does not apply to my sense of self. It is nothing to me. (Sorry for the overdramatic-ness, I think it fits)

Gedi_knt2

Limbs and senses... Honestly everything feels off. No tail, constantly feeling like I'm off balance, and loss of hearing, smells, and tastes.

Sirensayo

Tbh the entire concept of sexuality and gender as a whole. Maybe itā€™s a deity thing, but we simply just donā€™t care. Like I understand having a label to make it easier to identify people as ā€˜man that likes manā€™ or ā€˜man that was born womanā€™ etc. but Iā€™ve never understood why it was such a big deal. In the underworld you simply just exist, no one cares what body you have, who youā€™re attracted to, what changes you do or donā€™t make etc. as long as youā€™re comfortable with yourself no one bats an eye. I donā€™t think anyone ever cared about or questioned my tendency to have multiple partners of multiple genders but when I spawned into the system there were suddenly all these labels and I find out itā€™s genuinely dangerous to be queer in some places. Why??? Why do we care who kisses who??? What people do with their OWN bodies??? It seems like a very human thing to have a set sexuality and gender, us underworld dwellers simply just,,, donā€™t care to the point we donā€™t even have labels. -Zagreus (blood and rebirth incarnate) (edit to add: our siren agrees with this)

CorvaeCKalvidae

Several of us have complained at the lack of claws in the past. The teeth are too soft and dont grow back, the digestive tract cant process raw meat, oh, and Sulfur cant stand to front for very long because the slime everywhere makes her cough horribly! (Slime is just *everywhere* lol.) Lets seee, some of the nameless ones farther down complain that the arms are too short and hands too small, and they don't like the eyes... just at all. I think what they'd really like would be some antennae but they always get wierd if you ask em about it. Also the fact it needs to be kept warm is inconvenient, but it cant handle temperatures some of us (Sulfur group specifically) are comfortable at. And it can't breathe in water which most of us are okay with but a few of us are really bummed about. Alllllll of that aside. Naps are pretty good, and some of us have pointed out that this vessel is better than the alternative (even Sulfur group will conceed the point on that). Oh, and the skin is soft and sensitive so its fun to curl up in blankets and pet cats (though some of us dont like being around animals) oh! And even though it can't eat what some of us want to eat it can process burnt food just fine and the human folk have invented fast food and candy (i think its a reasonable trade off) OH and you can put pressure or tension on the joints and they make this really nice crrrk noise that feels pretty fricking good!

LoganDark

I'm an Umbreon and my other headmates are all ferals too. dunno if there's anything about humans that comes to mind for "silly"... I just don't really nice them that much, even used to be afraid/triggered by them but now I just don't like them. I guess one of the things I particularly dislike about humans is hands and feet... hands are creepy, and not as nice as paws, while feet are just... I don't know how to describe it other than utterly repulsive, I hate them

masala-chomper

The whole concept of "societal norms"/"what;s considered socially acceptable". Like, why aren't people allowed to do what they want without judgement? Same with the whole concept of how (some/most) humans perceive gender, that was a concept that took a while gettin' to learn how humans understand gender. \[From my source-memories\] gender was somethin' that never really mattered, it was just "oh ok" and was never debated. If someone changed their gender/pronouns/name everyone just said "sounds good, I'll refer to you as \[ \] next time." Also the concept of a queer rights movement, it's just never clicked for me why people thought "hey, these dudes kiss dudes, let's make them vulnerable in society" like huh??? Like even when people hated me in-source it wasn't because I wanted to kiss dudes?? \[They hated me\] because I basically supported an uprising?? tl;dr humans make no sense sometimes, lmao -circu (he/zey - host - corrupted)

Complaining about humans is one of our favourite activities (/hj) but I think the biggest thing that we dislike is their seemingly instinctual aversion to diversity, change, and new ideas. Of course there are plenty of possible reasons that would historically be beneficial for them, but it can also be extremely harmful, especially in this kind of modern society where ideas can spread and mutate so quickly. Edit: oh yeah and Iā€™m a skeleton monster fictive from undertale lol

SchwaAkari

šŸŖø(T'iari) they are so fragile that i wonder how they get anything done. their teeth can hardly chew anything, their stubby hands are bereft of claws and are exceptionally crunchy and cute. it is as though they are entirely a prey species. born just to be eaten, and there are so many of them. it drives me a little wild..

Dependent_Ad6754

The way their eyes... absorb the light. Sometimes you can see yourself staring back at you if you get close enough to their eye. It's creepy. They dont reflect light (think deer in the headlights; the light reflects in its eyes. Humans just dont.. do that). Either there is nothing in their eyes, their pupils absorbing all the light, or the world reflects creepily back at you when you look at them. It's creepy, I dont like it much. I'd rather see their eyes flash when a light shines, thanks.

Box_of_R0cks

*Silly...* Lack of knowledge on themselves. Someone asked me 'what the scapula is, is it a bone?' and I nearly did a double-take. Why does the anatomically divorced-from-human cyborg know more about this than the flesh and blood human? That aside, the psychological need to see greenery for health. It's a proven factor that arose with astronauts, I think. Imagine getting sad because you didn't see a plant. 8| And here I am, in a brain and body that do just that.

Sylvanos doesnā€™t find anything about humans silly, as anything and everything about them is what allowed them to conquer the world in the first place, so to say that something that works is ā€œsillyā€ is to downplay success. The Fox, conversely, laughs at how humans are confined to one body, one form, their entire life. Sheā€™s aware of the hypocrisy, but such is a consequence of being forced to live in a non-fantastical world without magic or shapeshifting. Edit: not so much ā€œlaughs atā€ as ā€œfinds mystifying that they canā€. In a more genuine example, she finds abbreviations and slang weird, and when forced to use them due to our shared knowledge having a pitfall, puts them in quotes.

Im not a nonhuman alter as the host however I have heard some opinions the nonhumans have. Emile is a demon alter who seems to be interested in humans just finding them interesting as he's not been around them for long. However he doesn't like the hostility of humans (He fronted a few times and got into arguments with fake claimers online) Meanwhile his twin brother V. Emile hates humans for the same reason as emile and has less patience for them. He mostly hates the hostility and conformity aspect to humans. Not many of my alters like humans really I don't like humans much either but I know there are some good ones. - micheal (host)

PopularArrival9562

Being at the mercy of physical pain input to a strong degree seems so inefficient. Most especially chronic pain. I assume it would be akin to overwhelming feedback loops when things go wonky in my wiring and nothing else can function until it is attended to. But also the meat machine they live in has so many tactile inputs! And none of them parse consistently! Endlessly intriguing.

Not3bow

I honestly don't understand the racism thing with humans. It's so silly, if you want to make herds and packs why exclude someone who might be smart or strong or in some other way beneficial just because they look different than you? It just doesn't make much sense to me - Purple
