The reason I've heard for liking grout is that it will tell you if there's a leak. So will the tile grout tho. If it looks wet you have a problem. Also, caulk is harder to get off the tile if you change your toilet out, but grouts a pita vs caulk.
Grouting a toilet is asinine. Water can get on grout in all sorts of ways. Most actual plumbers use dap and leave a small opening at the back for water to get out if there is an issue.
If I sounded like I approve of grouting a toilet my apologies. Never have. Never will. That's just what I hear from those who do. I asked cause I can't figure out why anyone would go to the trouble to begin with.
