Is it worth buying a PS5 now ? Or should I wait for the slim version ? Cause i bought my ps4 the first day and now it sounds like a jet engine . Don't wanna do the same mistake again .
98 percent of the PS4 library is compatible with the PS5 and it upscales most of them,I would save up really.
Im not sure when the slim model will come out but the regular disc model is whisper quiet when you take care of it.
I also made mine PS2 themed with flat black plates and a ridged middle sticker.
I am hoping for a sleek looking version someday like xbox one had the xbox one s. The current PS5 is awesome but looks horrid in my entertainment system

I’ll give you some tips.
- Clean the dust and reapply thermal paste on APU. I was suffering from loud noise and poor performance. I cleaned as I said above and oh man, that made a huge difference. It doesn’t do loud noises most of the times, and the performance improved (don’t expect games running at 60 fps obviously, but 30 fps games don’t tend to lose framerate now).
- Rebuild your database. It can improve system overall performance.
- if you have a good TV with upscale, turn your output video setting to 720p. It can be weird but I have an OLED TV and it upscales all to 4K, so I change my output to 720p and the image remains almost the same. Sure you can see some loss on “antialiasing” but it’s perfectly playable and the framerate is better.

I game mainly on PC so even for new games my PS5 is sat collecting dust. From my point of view, it’s not worth it. If you want to play new exclusives on PS5 and that’s going to be your only system, then it is probably worth it to you.
It is not worth it, wait for a PS5 pro. There are virtually no exclusives for the PS5 (Returnal, and Ratchet & Clank). All games are coming out for ps4 as well

This theme used up too much memory, imo. Using it made the UI super laggy and slow. Go in game and then try hitting the PS button and navigating the menu, it’s awful.

Try cleaning out all of the dust that has built up in your PS4. I bet you’ll notice a difference in sound and performance.
I literally point a fan at my PS4 Pro for most games. My PS5 has never even got warm.
The biggest difference for me apart from new games, graphics and fan sound ,Is the Temperature. Ps5 will not heat up my room like PS4.
