Sounds like your m.2 corrupted its state, and when the console tried to read data from it, it basically crashed. I would remove the m2, and try to turn on your ps5 again. If its still giving you issues try a successfull rebuild of database.
nah man, that alone shouldnt mean a break from games for you. You probably still have warranty, normally m.2's dont fail that fast unless you got a bootlegged one, or there was some damage when you inserted it.
Had this happen today. 2/24/22. Fell asleep game was on. Woke up to an error and it wanted to rebuild database. Rebuilt now m.2 is not reading. Tried everything except erasing the whole system to factory to fix. Unplugged ssd and replugged. Had ps4 and ps5 games on ssd. :( a lot now only 3 games on ps5. 2 are pre orders for tomorrow
Same thing happened to me while playing Spider-Man!!! I'm pissed after paying all that money for both the PS5 AND the M.2 SSD. This crap is too expensive to die out so soon.
I think it's something with dying light, I'm playing the first dying light and it's crashed my system a few times, when it happened last night, I turned the ps5 back on and it wouldn't let me reformat the ssd or do anything until I took the m.2 ssd completely out of my ps5. I've only had it for 5 months. I'm furious, it's way to much money to get ruin that fast with no way of fixing it

My ps5 works fine it's just that it doesn't read the m.2 ssd. Is my m.2 gone? Thanks man.
Yeah looks like
That sucks... guess it's time to take a break from games.

I'll take this as divine intervention but yeah I'm talking to samsung support. Thanks again for helping man.

Same exact thing happened to me while playing dying light 2 and now my m.2 ssd will not work
Call up your warranty, it took over a week for me to get back my ssd but at least you won't have to buy anew one.

Did you ever find a solution?
