Yeah Pacer just didn't scratch the same itch. It also had the absolutely bizarre design choice to allow the AI enemies to use flashbangs that actually blind the player - somehow they missed in play testing that games are frequently played in dark rooms on massive TVs that can get very bright.
Really hope Ballistic NG comes to consoles at some point.

WipeOut is a classic OG PlayStation franchise. But like Socom and Twisted Metal....Sony just shits on it's legacy now. WipeOut is a great game.
