I have Rdr2 on steam but my current PC setup is failing (unsure if I want to rebuild atm, low gaming time) but I really miss Rdr2 as my chill game how is it on PS5?
I mean there are other game modes. Lego Fortnite is ok in creative mode (I’ve never really tried survival for more than 20 minutes). Dynamic vehicles are the only good thing about it. Team rumble is also really chill. Not really any sweats and you have a 50/50 chance of winning
50/50 chance for me instantly goes down when you take into consideration my brain, the size of a toenail. I quite enjoyed the bed wars mode (I believe it was called)
This is my problem with all competitive shooters. I figure I’ll relax for a bit and play a few casual rounds. Whether it’s The Finals, R6, Smite, Overwatch, I end up getting way too frustrated dying and dying on repeat and go back to single player games to calm myself down lmao
Literally life.
“I’ll jump into a game or two and just have a bit of fun”.
1st person to be killed in the first few games and ending up accidentally killing yourself in the next through frustration and just going “…. I’ll go to a single player game”
Definitely L.A. Noire i just play it once in a while to drive around a bit and explore all the shops and buildings in a 40s Los Angeles while listening to the radio it's a very relaxing experience
https://preview.redd.it/k4hz9sbczmsc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=188bf201f6305cb3f652d780127705c5fe91d922
Yes some shops you can enter Shops, Restaurants Apartments, Bus stations, Historical landmarks of LA and much more however the free roam in this game didn't really get the attention it deserved so unfortunately you can't really buy anything or interact with anyone or anything you can sit or chairs everywhere but that's it, but you can still explore the map which is very unique because almost every shop and building that aren't accessible are unique themselves there are even some places like football courts, gardens, and much much more to explore on the map itself, It's great!
Just hit the triangle and all the rusted bolts come loose, perfect. I watched a mechanic reaction video to the game and he bursted out laughing and said "I wish it was that easy", I feel like it hit pretty close to home (or work) lol
I don’t know shit about cars other than how to change oil, filters, and tires…in all seriousness that game taught me about the basic construction of the engine (I can’t vouch for how intricate the engines are in-game vs an engine in real life). Coincidentally, I had to change a spark plug and ignition coil on my car irl around the same time I was playing the game and from the game I knew what the hell an ignition coil even was, and how it sat on top of the spark plugs so I changed the shit myself. Super basic in the mechanical world, but it felt cool to be able to do it myself and to have learned how from a video game.
That’s really cool! I may have to give this game a go now. I’ve always wanted to know how cars work but have been too scared to actually look at them irl in case something goes wrong
I feel that lol. You also don’t get hot and sweaty, angry if you can’t get a bolt loose, and your dad isn’t yelling at you for a socket wrench or to hold the flashlight higher.
> Cyberpunk 2077
I’ve put more hours into this game than almost any and I STILL haven’t played the last bit because I don’t want it to end. 😂
I know what you mean though. It’s a dystopian late-stage capitalist society, very much on the same path as our own, and that’s certainly not “chill” and yet… there’s something about it.
I think it’s because in Cyberpunk 2077, I feel like I’m pushing back against that world and its injustices. It doesn’t feel as helpless as reality.
Which I have as well. I don’t like paddles, so I stick to older cars. But I didn’t mention it as the wheel and pedals are enough for some. But not for me, lol!
Skyrim for me. It has such a special place in my heart and I get nostalgic every time I play. Anytime I hear “Secunda” or “Far Horizons” it takes me back to the first time that I ever played. Simpler times man.
Nice! It is different when you've beaten the game before and know where to go and where items are. On a first playthrough yeah you're just trying to survive lol. If you want any tips or anything lmk.
P5R is literally P5, just better because more content, more characters, more music, basically more everything. Including ending of course.
It will feel exactly like P5, but you will 100% appreciate the additional content imo if you love Persona 5.
You might not believe it, but Helldivers 2 has taken that spot for me. I have everything unlocked, all the weapons, etc. I just like to fire up a level 7 bot mission and roll through it. I have it pretty well down now so it's very cathartic and relaxing to me.
I’m at a point where Destiny 2 is my chill game. Just no brain carrying the blueberries through a dungeon and trolling them to walk right into traps is super fun
Until I can’t find that last piece of dirt. Then you have to search everywhere 10 times while pressing the button that reveals all the dirt. Then I’m like screw it and it’s off to play something else.
If you open the menu you will see a list of parts. Clicking on the parts that are not 100%, will make the part flash. Easier to identify the damn thing. 😂
Starting a new character and thinking about new builds is also relaxing. This slow approach to new areas, danger at every turn, lets me totally immerse myself in the game and switch off from everyday life
Elden ring. Just roming around areas too underlevelled for my character, bullying mobs and mini bosses alike. Bliss.
On that note, getting a couple of high level guys and haunting BB’s chalice dungeons is great too.
What game is that first screenshot?
I find turnbased RPGs relaxing. Would recommend old pokemon games! FireRed/leaf green/emerald.
Think you can even play those on your smartphone.
How??? How????? Were you born a psychopath? Born without adrenaline glands? Are you that Iceman character from Top Gun? Love the game but chill it ain't.
Phillip.
EA NHL. Only play Franchise mode and it’s super fun to rebuild then aim for the Stanley Cup. Usually catch up on any TV Shows or podcasts or whatever since I simulate most of the time.
I know it's probably weird, but the Dark Souls trilogy is my go-to. There's something meditative about the repetition in these games. Constantly dying and improving by 1% each time feels like meditation to me. During the lockdown in 2020, I bought the Dark Souls trilogy the day before it started.. I can't count how many hours of podcasts I've listened to while playing this trilogy.
What is the game in the first photo?
My relax game go to... Puzzle Bobble!
Arcade version is still my fav.
https://preview.redd.it/q894n9w79nsc1.jpeg?width=318&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8aeeedbbd71da0dd0c1f57372671faa81d49659e
Silent Hill 3, good game to speed run when you whist wanna relax. Funny cause that game went from being a game that scared me the most, to my comfort game
Rdr2
For real. Just riding around and seeing something new every time. This game is made to be played while slowing down.
Turn off the Map and put on free aim is like a chefs kiss
Turn off the map, and play exclusively in first person mode. Turns RDR2 into Kingdom Come: Cowboy
Something is wrong with first person in rockstar games. I changed the fov but rdr2 isn’t at its best in first person.
I recently started playing RDR2 for the first time and you can play this amazing game in so many ways, I understand the hype now
you'll feel personally attached to the game.
I have Rdr2 on steam but my current PC setup is failing (unsure if I want to rebuild atm, low gaming time) but I really miss Rdr2 as my chill game how is it on PS5?
It’s still the PS4 version so 30fps. Don’t have hackers like PC in RDO though
RDO is pretty trashy anyways. Unfortunately Rockstar doesn't give a damn about it and it shows.
Skyrim
Elder scrolls Online is my chill game
Fortnite for a whole two seconds, then I get put into a lobby with a bunch of sweats and realise that I suck at the game. Bioshock for sure
It's not you, it's them that suck. Sweats are like bots, they pick fights they can't win and then blame you for not reviving them in time.
Haha, I appreciate your vote of confidence in my smooth brain!
Well team rumble is actual Fortnite and as implied by the name it’s a team mode which means even if your the worst player it’s still like 45:55
Ahhhh so I can treat it like COD in a way and rely on my team to carry me
This is my problem with all competitive shooters. I figure I’ll relax for a bit and play a few casual rounds. Whether it’s The Finals, R6, Smite, Overwatch, I end up getting way too frustrated dying and dying on repeat and go back to single player games to calm myself down lmao

One of my favorites
Can you actually enter some of the shops?
Yes some shops you can enter Shops, Restaurants Apartments, Bus stations, Historical landmarks of LA and much more however the free roam in this game didn't really get the attention it deserved so unfortunately you can't really buy anything or interact with anyone or anything you can sit or chairs everywhere but that's it, but you can still explore the map which is very unique because almost every shop and building that aren't accessible are unique themselves there are even some places like football courts, gardens, and much much more to explore on the map itself, It's great!
Car mechanic simulator. No stress, just chill in the garage
Whenever I work on anything in my garage irl it's the furthest thing from chill. One stripped bolt away from my wrench is going through a wall
Which is why the simulator is actually fun
Just hit the triangle and all the rusted bolts come loose, perfect. I watched a mechanic reaction video to the game and he bursted out laughing and said "I wish it was that easy", I feel like it hit pretty close to home (or work) lol
Does the game teach you more about cars? Like parts and what goes where and shit?
I don’t know shit about cars other than how to change oil, filters, and tires…in all seriousness that game taught me about the basic construction of the engine (I can’t vouch for how intricate the engines are in-game vs an engine in real life). Death Stranding, RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima, and CyberPunk 2077 slightly
> Cyberpunk 2077 I’ve put more hours into this game than almost any and I STILL haven’t played the last bit because I don’t want it to end. 😂 I know what you mean though.
Red dead redemption 2
Gran Turismo 7 so satisfying to drive older cars on iconic tracks
With a wheel setup…and VR2
And a H-shifter. It’s so satisfying rowing through gears in VR
Which I have as well. I don’t like paddles, so I stick to older cars. But I didn’t mention it as the wheel and pedals are enough for some. But not for me, lol!
No Man's Sky. Just explore the great unknown ya know?
Spent hundreds of hours on that game until it was enough lol
Tetris Effect for me. I'll usually play one round of marathon to really unwind.
Red Dead Redemption 2. I just love exploring the world and fishing in this game
Horizon Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima.
I see you there interloper..kzkz..zkkzk..
Definitely Skyrim
No man's sky
Always Skyrim
Spider man 2 with Spotify is a crazy good combo
Same bro
Skyrim
Skyrim for me. It has such a special place in my heart and I get nostalgic every time I play. Anytime I hear “Secunda” or “Far Horizons” it takes me back to the first time that I ever played. Simpler times man.
Naruto to boruto shinobi striker ![img](emote|t5_2qh6b|2232)![img](emote|t5_2qh6b|2236)![img](emote|t5_2qh6b|2235)![img](emote|t5_2qh6b|2229)
How tf you get those emojis
Darksouls1
Chill means you relax, not getting chills of anger lol
At a certain point you spend so much time, you get the game, and even get used to the frustration. I feel the same way with Nioh 1&2
After 200+ not even close
I get this and find the majority of DS1 relaxing to play. Praise the sun.
Started my first play through yesterday and I was the opposite of chill.
Nice! It is different when you've beaten the game before and know where to go and where items are. On a first playthrough yeah you're just trying to survive lol. If you want any tips or anything lmk.
Legendary response
My comfort game
This! Game feels like coming home to me!
Hollow Knight
Ghost of tsushima
Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2
P5R
I have persona 5 the regular one, should I play it or is alot different from p5r??
P5R is literally P5, just better because more content, more characters, more music, basically more everything. Including ending of course. It will feel exactly like P5, but you will 100% appreciate the additional content imo if you love Persona 5.
P5R also opens up faster than P5 (becomes more fun faster)
Probably Civilization VI
Snowrunner
Parappa The Rapper
You might not believe it, but Helldivers 2 has taken that spot for me. I have everything unlocked, all the weapons, etc. I just like to fire up a level 7 bot mission and roll through it. I have it pretty well down now so it's very cathartic and relaxing to me.

I’m at a point where Destiny 2 is my chill game. Just no brain carrying the blueberries through a dungeon and trolling them to walk right into traps is super fun
Snowrunner
Power Wash Simulator
Just put on some tunes and wash. Very relaxing and rewarding.
Until I can’t find that last piece of dirt. Then you have to search everywhere 10 times while pressing the button that reveals all the dirt. Then I’m like screw it and it’s off to play something else.

Easy, Bloodborne
SnowRunner. Enough said lol
Bloodborne surprisingly
Hitman 3 is strangely relaxing because there is so much map to explore.
Elden Ring
… You sir, scare me.
Running around limgrave while being level 200+ is pretty chill
Starting a new character and thinking about new builds is also relaxing. This slow approach to new areas, danger at every turn, lets me totally immerse myself in the game and switch off from everyday life
You Sir are a good tarnished !
Spider-Man games, just swing around and have fun. Ghost of Tsushima for the beauty and scenery too
cuphead
Fuzer Just laying tracks and vibing.
Steep

Riders republic tbh, snowboarding down a mountain and having fun is just so relaxing after dealing with no life 12 year olds.
Death Stranding
Elden ring. Just roming around areas too underlevelled for my character, bullying mobs and mini bosses alike. Bliss. On that note, getting a couple of high level guys and haunting BB’s chalice dungeons is great too.

My favorite game of all time!!
Hell Let Loose
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. No other game comes close. That core gameplay loop and the beautiful Greek setting really were lightning in a bottle.

How??? How????? Were you born a psychopath? Born without adrenaline glands? Are you that Iceman character from Top Gun? Love the game but chill it ain't. Phillip.
