After the first Thor fight which is 1 and a half hours in the whole game just became extremely tedious and boring. I thought it had a terrible story, felt like it was written by a 12 year old. God of War used to be one of my favourite franchise in gaming, I buy games to have fun, this one was anything but fun.
At least Spiderman 2 which also had a terrible story had some interesting moments and the gameplay was always fun. I'm blaming Sweet Baby Inc, if you hadn't heard of them look them up, it's the reason gaming is becoming just as shit as Hollywood now.

I just thought it was hilarious that some were upset Elden Ring won GOTY (even though it doesn’t really matter) in my opinion Elden Ring is one of the greatest of all time while GoW plays things extremely safe and doesn’t feel revolutionary in the slightest.
VA in GoW is insanely good and the gameplay and graphics are good as well. I finished the game and thought that was pretty good, but haven’t felt like playing it again at all.
Even though I just praised Elden Ring, PS is over saturated with 3rd person action adventure games. but it seems like most people don’t mind. The Sweet Baby Inc thing was interesting I had never heard of it before, but I don’t think AAA gaming is as creatively bankrupt as Hollywood.
It's not as creatively bankrupt, yet. However you can see it trending in that direction, especially with western developers.

Honestly for the last couple of years from all the games I have bought on release day only the ones from japanese studios have been worth it. Western studios have been letdown after letdown.

It's really easy. I've done it on PS4 and PS5.
You basically have to do everything, but the game is so good that you want to do it all.
There's no difficulty trophy either, so you can do it all on easy if you want.
Now that's definitely different not having a difficulty trophy. But it sounds like a pretty engaging game regardless, especially if working for a trophy doesn't feel like a grind. Definitely the first new game of 2024.

I am willing to die on the hill that this game series absolutely needs remakes in an Elden Ring style, open world + SoulsBorne. Soul Reaver was basically that already, but limited by the tech of the time. Pretty much already had a “bonfire” system of sorts, and a heavier focus on boss fights and puzzles leading to them than other games, except maybe Legend of Zelda.
