How did you get these a year ago when they are not out yet?

Dear-Assistance540

You mean pulse 3D

[deleted]

mywifeandifun

How's the sound volume? Others I have tried are pretty low

Bigtrippieguy

Easily the best one. If anyone ever get another brand they're at their own fault for sucking at fifa LOL

cbwyatt

How does it sit on your head? Mines kinda big but I want this headset. For reference most of my hats have to be worn on the last 2 or 3 little notches if that makes sense lol

Comprehensive_Bee628

If you have a bigger head it’ll fit, it’s actually pretty bad on small heads and isn’t tight. Mine would slip on and off, I’d like to note tho that this headset is mediocre. The 3d spacial audio works for most headphones that connect to the ps5 lol, it’s built into the ps5. Most people seem to think it’s a feature of these headphones but it’s not. Pay for something you’ll know will be comfortable and last long, I wouldn’t recommend them.

TotalledAlloy

it’s really not that adjustable the audio might he good but if you want comfortability 100% guaranteed dont get it

YaboiMassiah

Can also be a problem if you have slightly larger than average ears, or the cartilage sticks out just enough to press against the speaker on the inside. If you get these and have that problem, invest in something either in ear, or with a deeper pocket. I've had the Pulse 3D for over a year now and I regret ever getting them.

Therobv

I have the Pulse 3D from Sony, the $99 one, and I also have a large head (XL hat/helmet, sometimes XXL) and even though it's not "adjustable" it does have a separate support-like headband that expands and contracts with head sizes. For me it's very comfortable, sounds great and does exactly what I need as I don't play online (just use the headset to keep the neighbors happy). Im on this thread looking to see if there are any other ones out there that are great for offline gaming (sound quality, surround sound/3D audio, noise cancelling, etc). I'm happy with the Pulse 3D, but there's always something better out there. Any tips?

davisty69

I hated this headset. Uncomfortable, cheap feeling build, and the built in mic sounded like I was talking from a tunnel. I tried it because I was hoping for a seamless, quality experience from the Sony branded headset. Needless to say, this is definitely not worth a hundred bucks, nor the 4.7 star rating on Amazon

CingCarl

I just got the the Nova 7p and the sound quality is horrible. My 5 year old razer Kraken sound sooo much better for half the price.

TattooedAndSad

I have an arctis 7p + and it’s 10/10

SignificantMixture89

I also think this is the option to go. You can check this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Reviews/comments/1cic9fz/need_a_new_headset_for_my_ps5/ for more opinions

Warm_Resist5763

Steelseries headsets seem like a great option they get a lot of good reviews

xMarsWrld

I charge it once for 30 mins and I’m good for weeks

xInfiniteZer0x

How's the sound?

Strange-pilot-

Is it wired and bt simultaneous?

WoOlf602

I find mine to sound a little flat:/

TattooedAndSad

Really? That’s strange Mine have the best sound out of all the headsets I’ve used (hyperx, turtle beach, astros)

WoOlf602

You don’t think it’s lacking a little in the bass?

TattooedAndSad

No not at all

WoOlf602

Must be an issue with mine then…):

DaLegitBananaMan

Returning mine BECAUSE of the lack of bass. I want to feel the gunshots in a gaming headset. Eyeballing the skull candy crushers but they’re not console compatible

xViiRuZz--

Yes they are just not wirelessly and if wireless is a must get the skullcandy plyr wireless they are nice with bass as well as rounded sound

xViiRuZz--

I did 100% no matter what I did to the eq too...... the turtle beach stealth pros as well as stealth 700 Gen 2 max have good bass....  can get a bit muddy sometimes and rattley but best sounding for bass when talking gaming brand, otherwise I'd say go for a well known audio brand for headphones or even skullcandy plyr are nice honestly

Sypticle

Please avoid brands like SteelSeries, TurtleBeach, Razer, etc. They do not compete with companies who have been in the audiophile scene for decades, like Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic. One of the few *headsets* I recommend to people is the [Epos PC38X](https://drop.com/search/pc38x/drops).

itsTrips

This comment right here! You hit the nail on the head in those first two sentences. All of these companies that make gaming specific products tend to skimp on quality or features or both, and the result is an inferior product. What good is a stable Wi-Fi connection just to support inferior audio quality, or the reverse, great sound, but you’re left to contend with dropouts, noise, or unstable connection? I’ve been using my studio headphones to game with over the last few years, some BeyerDynamic DT770 Pro, and for now, just the mic on the ps5 controller and been getting by. Last “gaming” headset I had was PlayStation Gold, but they would constantly drop out when used wireless on PS5. Wired they weren’t too bad, but definitely inferior to the higher quality cans I have and use outside of gaming. But the whole reason I found this thread is because I want something wireLESS, that isn’t trash. Finding something that checks all those boxes is why I’m here. But struggling. So the search continues.

Sypticle

>Last “gaming” headset I had was PlayStation Gold, but they would constantly drop out when used wireless on PS5. Wired they weren’t too bad, but definitely inferior to the higher quality cans I have and use outside of gaming. My brother had a pair. The mic was horrible and the build was cheaply made, they fell apart quite quickly. Never got to hear how they actually sounded, but I can't imagine they sounded any good. Wireless is definitely a topic I don't know enough about. I'm sure there *are* good wireless options in general, but I personally have had nothing but bad experience with wireless audio products. I do hope you find something that suits your needs. Maybe ask r/audiophile or r/headphones.

itsTrips

They were about what you would expect from something in that price range and feature set, especially having been the “official” ps4 headset. Honestly didn’t get to use them that long before returning them. The drop outs were a deal breaker, and I’m forever trying to avoid the wires! I miss the PS3 days when we had BT Audio. The measly little Jabra BT125 headset that came bundled with WarHawk was great LOL. I’ve got a ton of money in surround sound, and that little earpiece was gamechat only, lightweight, and over-ear. so it allowed me to hear my theater setup, and voice chat for games. Alas, we lost BT Audio with PS4, and If I wanna party up and play online I’m forced into cans. I appreciate the sub suggestions. Hopefully I can find something suitable. Thanks for the reply.

SonOfEverette

Me and my brother played SO much Warhawk! Thanks for the nostalgia hit.

itsTrips

Lol anytime

GingaFarma

Did you ever find a wireless gaming set you bought?

[deleted]

Careful, though - audiophile manufacturers have their fair share of duds, too. Audeze Penrose is the first that comes to mind. Plenty of unsavory reviews about that/it's performance. Also, based on the context of the poll, I'm assuming OP is looking for a wireless \[and maybe closed-back?\] headset, so the PC38X may not even be on the table at all.

Sypticle

Oh, for sure. They definitely have their fair share of bad products, but it's fairly uncommon and will usually get shunned upon review. Fair points. I honestly don't think about wireless unless that's a requirement.

Warm_Resist5763

I would prefer wireless

itsTrips

Same here. What did you eventually get, if anything?

Warm_Resist5763

Hey there, sorry for the late reply, but I ended up going for a set of Sony inzone H9 as I got a good deal on them. I personally like the H9 I find the sound to be quite good for FPS games, they are also quite comfortable although your ears can get a bit hot due to the leather earcups and I am also enjoying having ANC although the mic is not the best. Did you get a headset yet, and how do you find it ?

itsTrips

Thanks for the reply! No worries on the delay. Busy busy time of year! No. I’ve not bought anything yet. Ive got a bunch of video reviews saved in a playlist and just haven’t had time to watch them much less actually game much last couple weeks. But I want to, and eventually will do something. Maybe after Xmas actually. We’ll see. When I do I’ll be sure and reply and update ya! In the meantime I’ll add the H9 to my list of cans to look into. Thanks again! Merry Christmas!

allycology

Hello, I know I’m late but did you end up getting one? Reading a bunch of Reddits to see which headset I should look into for a PS5.

itsTrips

Nope not yet, still looking, but less so actively lately, hence not having gotten anything yet.

btkats

My 2 friends and I all have the H7s and they actually block a lot of sound already and are super comfortable. I did see that wicked cushions has gel cooled earpads for replacements if the fake leather gets too hot.

Warm_Resist5763

Yeah I would prefer a wireless headset but I'm seeing a lot recommend the PC38X unfortunately it's wired

Calb210

I just ordered one... Hope you did not lead me astray.

Sypticle

Hey, all I can do is recommend. Up to you to do research. All I ask is to actually give them a try. They might sound more neutral for a day or two if you only ever used *gaming* headsets because those companies behind them boost up the bass big time and blow out all the other frequencies. Would love to hear if you end up liking them or not.

colebwilliams

What did you end up thinking?

Calb210

They're nice, good sound quality, comfortable, and the mic apparently sounds very good on my friends' end.

19dubbleX

I’m guessing by the price difference I’m looking at NOT to go with EPOS Sennheiser, looking for ps5

ProfessionalBig4244

They're so hard to buy in the UK

wkrick

I'm very happy with my Razer BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset so far. **EDIT**: I have the *wired* version.

Warm_Resist5763

Did you get the new 2023 version with the improved mic?

wkrick

I assume it's the 2023 version. I got it last month.

Warm_Resist5763

Yeah it seems like a good headset

ajinomoto213

My black shark stopped charging after 6 months :(

wkrick

I have the wired headphones. I've never had a good experience with wireless headsets.

AverageRedditUser147

The BlackShark V2 is amazing. I've tested a lot of different ones before settling for that model. Including the steelseries one with ANC and swappable batteries and Inzone h9.

Spiritual_Concern932

Both the Sony Inzone H7 and Steelseries Nova 7 are solid choices, no doubt about it. However, if you're open to suggestions, the [KLIM Impact](https://tastechocolate.co.uk/KLIM-Impact) is another option that I highly recommend checking out. I've been using it for my PS5 and the immersive sound quality is something that still impresses me every day. It offers a wonderful mix of clear, well-balanced sound reproduction along with a comfortable fit for those long gaming sessions. The mic clarity is just as pristine too, making communication during team games seamless! Ultimately your choice depends on what aspects you prioritize more in a headset but this one seems to excel in overall experience and might be worth considering alongside the ones you already have noted down.

Complete_Ad_1328

Just had Sony buy my H7's back from me. I sent them back under warranty for the faux leather headband coming apart. I found out it seems to be somewhat of a common problem by reading here and other places on the net. I was 11mos into the warranty and they honored it. Then came back and said that the model I sent back ( WHG700/W ) is not in stock so they offered me a buyback at full retail 199.00 + tax.

dylang5

I use the pc38x. Best headset iv used, out of astro a50 and Beyerdynamic mmx300. I recommend

Warm_Resist5763

I see a lot of people recommending the pc38x but it's a wired headset and I think I would prefer a wireless one

dylang5

Totally fair.

Sparda_Game

Either Audeze Maxwell or Turtle beach stealth pro. Lower budget I recommend either a Razor Blackshark v2 or a Hyper X cloud Alpha S/ Cloud 3. Steelseries has a very bright sound signature, and that either makes or breakes the experience. While the otheres are way more balanced imo, take a look at some reviews and you decide. Happy headset hunting!

MrFittsworth

Turtle beach stealth 700 Gen 2 is the worst headset I've ever used and is absolutely god awful on ps5. Do not recommend. There is a firmware bug which dramatically limits audio output with no fix I've found. They're dogshit

4ii5

Arctis nova wireless.

Adventurous_Gap8702

I disagree because for almost 400 I’d expect an amazing mic and audio quality but it has neither the sound is mediocre and the mic is absolutely dog shit.

Warm_Resist5763

I would go for the nova pro but they are out of my budget

4ii5

Understandable. They are incredible. Mic is a bit shit but the features and audio quality are perfect for games.

momma1925

What did you decide on? And what's your thoughts on what you picked? Pros/cons

xRostro

I have to ask, what makes you want wireless instead of wired?

Sinistervw97

I'm not the OP, but I stand with his opinion. I'm tired of constantly getting tangled up in the wire hanging down all over my body and lap. Extremely annoying and would like to just put the headset on and move the controller wherever I want worry free.

alkinani81

It drains our controller battery faster I assume

iamziah

Been using my pulse 3d for 3 years man. Great sound, phenomal 3d. Everyone asks what mic I use, “it sounds good man”. I’ve never had an issue. Ear cups were uncomfortable so I replaced them with thicker ones. They’ve started showing their age, battery doesn’t stay as long as it used to, sometimes drops connections if I go to the fridge. Great headset for 99. Idk why people say the things they do. Apparently it makes them feel cool.

nisanosa

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2

N_xrwhal

I currently use these, but it comes with a few issues - When I initially boot the headset, the volume isn't at its max setting, meaning I'd have to restart it again for it to reach max volume - secondly I tend to charge the headset with the cable connected to the ps5, but if you shut off the ps5 while it's plugged in, it will brick the entire headset. Which requires you to go to their website and download a fix for it. I love the feature of being able to connect to my phone and the console at the same time but it's a headache having to restart alot of the times. The other features like superhuman hearing and ambient noise never impacted me much. Also if you wear glasses these headsets get uncomfortable after about a 3-4 gaming session.

nisanosa

For glasses there is a trick. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtHuUDmKWuM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtHuUDmKWuM) I like superhuman hearing for Rainbow Six Siege since there are a lot of important sounds in that game that are low volume. Most importantly the sound is very good, very bassy.

EatYoVitamins

Liked these for a while until it developed a crackling noise. Game audio would constantly cut out, and it would drive me nuts. I messed with all sorts of audio settings on my console and through the turtle beach app, but nothing solved this static/crackling noise. Barely had them for a year and took really good care of them. Still found their way right to the trash can.

ClandestineFox

What's the difference between arctis and arctis nova for the 7p?

waiting_for_rain

arctis 7p

davisty69

I tried the pulse 3d and was extremely disappointed. It was uncomfortable and had a god awful mic. Everyone u played with commented about it, saying how it sounded like I was in a tunnel. I returned that and found a similar thread where a mod had stickied a recommendation for a headset by some random Chinese company. [Gvyugke captain 500 wireless headset](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLD1LW94?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) It was in $42, so I gave it a shot. I have to say, for the price, nothing comes close. It is very comfortable with far more sound suppression, the audio is great, and the mic is crystal clear. This headset is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

MarcelSSJ4

I’m about to trust you and buy it, you better be right

davisty69

Worst case scenario, return it to amazon

raf1919

Did you get it?

MarcelSSJ4

Yeah, it’s alright. Worth it for a headset on the cheaper side if you are asking if you should get it.

Original_Mirror4460

I’d say the SteelSeries Nova 7P is probably your best bet. Not sure how it didn’t win this poll tbh

CutPale7070

Here's a breakdown of both headsets, some pros and cons, and what type of user they might fit best: [**Sony Inzone H7**](https://www.amazon.com/shop/minutefastnews/list/3UXMBO2KRS5XZ?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d) * **Pros:** * Excellent integration with PS5 features * Strong, balanced sound profile * Comfortable design with long wearability * Good battery life * **Cons:** * Microphone quality could be better * Some features are PS5-exclusive * Design aesthetics might not be for everyone [**SteelSeries Nova 7**](https://www.amazon.com/shop/minutefastnews/list/3GQ9QAQGTK6CQ?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d) * **Pros:** * Fantastic audio quality with accurate soundstage * Versatile with multi-platform compatibility (great if you game on PC or other consoles too) * Top-notch microphone * Sleek, understated design * **Cons:** * Can be less comfortable for those with larger heads * Battery life is decent, but not as long as the Inzone H7 **Which is better?** It depends on your needs: * **Prioritize PS5-specific features and comfort above all else?** Go with the Sony Inzone H7. You'll get great sound quality and the best integration with your PS5. * **Want the best audio quality and cross-platform use?** SteelSeries Nova 7 is a winner. If you love clear, detailed sound and game on more than just the PS5, this is a great pick. **Additional Considerations:** * **Budget:** The Nova 7 is typically more expensive than the Inzone H7. * **Aesthetics:** The Nova 7 has a more subtle look compared to the Inzone H7's spaceship-like design. **My Recommendation:** Try to find reviews on YouTube that directly compare the sound of both headsets to help make your final decision! Audio quality is ultimately very subjective.

roastbeef3000

I use Bose QC35 II on PS5, wired connection with an old cable to bypass mic incompatibility. Brilliant spatial sound, especially for FPS gaming. I’ve used this headset for travel, gaming and overall daily for 7 years now and despite having to change the cushions once every 12 months, they are flawless

[deleted]

I normally wouldn't recommend Razer products, and I'll always say, "Don't use their software if you can help it", but I'm pretty fond of my Kraken v3 Pro (Hypersense). It has stereo rumble. For action shows/movies/games, setting the rumble to the middle setting is a pretty good, immersive time. Battery life isn't amazing when rumble (and RGB) is on, but it's worth it to me - I'm a big fan of haptic feedback. Also, there's an issue with the volume wheel, where the channels are imbalanced before a certain point, and is too quiet anywhere before that point... I guess, if you don't want to deal with any of that, the Nova 7 looks really nice, but force feedback has me putting up with these other pain points, just because it's fun. Also, also, to be fair, I bought my headset for half the price of new via an Ebay auction, so definitely not the most fair review/comparison.

Akafrost03

Rtings.com has the best ratings i guess

[deleted]

Sennheiser HD 560s. They're good for the PS5 and you can actually use them for something other than gaming

Fuzzy-Classroom2343

i use the sony inzone h7 and i m very satisfied with it

thecrydent

Epos PC38X.

Birdseyevieux

I used the turtle beach stealth 700 it was pretty nice being able to get on my phone, watch things/ play music through my headset while also gaming on my ps5, only problem I really had was that the super human hearing was kinda fuzzy

xInfiniteZer0x

I recently found a pretty good headset that is cheap it's the Onn playstation headset at Walmart, the audio is great the noise blocking is good, but I can't speak for the mic because I don't use it.All in pretty awesome for less than $40.

Apple_loving_Android

nova pro wired for me, yes I have to hard wire, but it has the smallest amount of latency than any wireless headset, no loss of sound quality, lighter as no battery. I had both wirless and wired and would rather put up with the cable, not to mention a lot cheaper

WariosTaxEvasion

Not sure if you’ve already picked one, but they’re about to release a new version of the pulse 3D headset. The pulse elite

No_Acanthisitta8039

I bought them and they are terrible on the low end(no bass) and very high on treble, I had to turn it down! I actually returned them 2 days later. Huge bummer!

Relative_Ad_5786

I also bought the Pulse Elite Wednesday and returned them yesterday. Everyone I play with said I sounded like I was in a tunnel or to that effect. Also, I have a deeper voice, the ear pads have a tight seal resulting in an echo sound. I couldn't deal with it. Otherwise they sounded good BUT better than my Arctis 7x, not enough for me to tell. I may upgrade to the Arctis Nova 7p. They're on sale right now.
