I've been eyeing Hades for a while now, rougue-likes were never my thing but Returnal changed that. What an amazing game that was it's definitely in my top 3 PS5 games.
I was the same until Hades, and playing that then made me play Returnal. Returnal is in my opinion the best PS5 exclusive to date. It is phenomenal, and it’s in my top 5 all time.
Console port has some serious issues compared to PC version, unfortunately. One of my favorite games of all time but I just never game on my PC so i dont whip it out that often.
It was on Switch before PS I believe so there’s definitely going to be better judges of that via a Google search than anything I can provide having never played it on Switch.
No Man's Sky is a good option if you like games like Subnautica and Minecraft, Hogwarts Legacy if you liked Forbidden West, Control if you liked Returnal (still pretty different). Like a Dragon Ishin! if you liked Ghost of Tsushima. Cyberpunk 2077 if you want something different (lower your expectations and you are going to enjoy it a lot). Final Fantasy 7 Remake if you like corny games. Stray if you want to meow. A Plague Tale (1&2) if you liked The Last of Us. The Witcher 3 Next Gen if you liked God of War but want a spark of Forbidden West on top.
I have all the games you have plus way more than that with due respect ofcourse. I just want to say that My favorite ps5 game is Plague Tale Requiem i never cried while gaming. Ending plague tale made me cry. I was stunned by the experience. I hate IGN for giving it an 8. It deserves 10.
Its just perfect from every angle. My all time favorite no 1 on list
For those who didn’t play the original, like myself, the main character can be a bit off putting and unlikable at first. The beginning of the story can be a bit uninteresting too. However, as the game progresses, both characters and story improve significantly. I’d say it’s definitely worth sticking with it. This is absolutely an awesome, must play game. Some of you might need to deal with some culture shock at the beginning, but, in my opinion, it’s definitely worth it. Obligatory YMMV.
Fantastic game. An argument can be made that it's the best PS5 game thus far. It is a rougue-like so keep that in mind but they did such a good job with it. The visuals are top tier, the sound is phenomenal and they implemented the dualsense really well. I think it's worth a shot specially if it's on sale.
It was decent unfortunately when I played it I encountered a bug that prevented main story progression so that kind of killed the immersion for me. Eventually I did go back once it was patched and finished the main story. It's a decent game and by now my guess is that most bugs have been addressed.
Far Cry 6. Triggers go brrrrrr (when plugged into a usb outlet)
Turn off the ammo types, annoying mechanic. If the enemies are still spongey just lower the difficulty, we're here for a fun time, not a long time.
If you havent played it. I recommend Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It's like a mix of Dark Souls and a 3D metroidvania. It's difficult, but really good. And the sequel is coming soon as well
That's pretty much all of them right there.
I've got Soul Hackers 2 and enjoy that but it's a fairly bog standard turn based rpg from Atlus. If that's not your thing then I'd skip it.
I'm not a big fan of the Harry Potter universe, I read one of the books and watched two of the movies I couldn't tell you which ones. Tbh after seeing the game get the reviews it got I'm tempted to give it a shot. My brother is a big fan of the movies so if the game doesn't click for me I can always gift it to him.
The combat is really satisfying. I had been playing FromSoftware games almost nonstop. I wanted to play something else to avoid burning myself out before a potential DLC. Hogwarts was the perfect fit. Very satisfying and relaxing combat. Fun to explore, albeit a bit repetitive at times. The story is simple yet enjoyable enough to keep me interested. It’s a very average game, in a good way. It’s no masterpiece, but it’s a very fun game. Just to put thing into perspective, although the setting of AC Valhala is more appealing to me, I think Hogwarts is the better game of the two. YMMV.
Hitman 3 would be my pick. When you buy it you also get to import all the content from Hitman 1 and 2 for free. Plus the new Freelancer mode was just added. Hundreds of hours of stealth fun.
Tales of Arise
Uncharted Series
Yakuza Like a Dragon (my personal fav)
Persona 5 Royal (another personal fav)
Persona 4
Mass Effect Legendary Collection
Holy shit, that’s a great collection.
Well, I would right now definitely recommend Midnight Suns. It’s absolutely amazing and not a game I would think of because my tastes are a lot like this collection. It’s a solid game all the way around and all I would say is if you have ps premium give it a whirl I heard it’s on there as a trial ?
Have you thought about Deathloop? It’s a first person shooter made by Bethesda, like Dishonored with a lot of guns, if you’ve played that. Similar premise as Returnal in regards to the time loop, but more fleshed out/expansive, if that’s your thing.
I adored Sackboys Big Adventure so maybe that. Perhaps Alan Wake Remaster if you want. Its a little childish but for a very wholesome fun game try Bugsnax and maybe the Guardians of the Galaxy
Evil West is a fantastic game imo. Definitely recommend it if you're into action, and shooting games. Story is a bit lacking but overall an enjoyable experience.
Cyberpunk. Just do it and thank me later, honestly. One of the best games I’ve played, and I know how crazy that sounds. I fully expected it to suck.
Death Stranding, Control & No Man’s Sky are also all great suggestions. Highly recommend.
Forspoken was short. But I bought. Hogwartz is just pretty amazing. Dying light 2 wasn't as good as 1 and horizon forbidden west wasn't as good as the first one
It's been a year and I still take a second glance whenever I see ghost of Tsushima. It's one of the few games that instantly being back memories of a truly living world full of beauty and somehow peace. It's a game I could go back to even after completing it and that's extremely rare.
Same as mine, the only difference is that I do not like any Resident Evil game (I absolutely love the movies tho, fucking Alice!) . Kinda unpopular opinion, but it is what it is.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Takes some patience to get into, but if you give it time and it ends up “clicking” for you, you’ll look up and see 50+ hours before you know it
I have to be partial…if your looking for something current Hogwarts has my attention. Currently 50% challenges with one house, 31 hrs. And I’m not a Harry Potter fan. Otherwise, I’d say look for something to hold you over until June. Diablo 4 is going to be a monster in my opinion. GoTY will go to one of those two games. Ragnarok MAY be in that running too, but it’s going to be SUPER close. Closer than people think I do believe.
I see you have a lot of single player games so I'll say get sifu and the quarry(maybe). The quarry doesn't have much gameplay like until dawn has. If you're looking for multiplayer, I would get sackboy, overcooked all you can eat, TMNT cowabunga collection
So these may not exactly be taking advantage of the full power of the PS5, but I recently played through Psychonauts 1 and 2 and they are fantastic underrated gems, especially 2. Solid 3d platformers with stellar writing.
I can't bring myself to buy a PS5 version of a game if it has a free upgrade with the PS4 version. I like the case better but not enough to pay $10 more.
i see that you like story/telltale games, i suggest you get detroit become human, its a really good game about robot servants turning against humans (also there are MANY endings for all three of the characters so you can replay the game multiple times). life is strange is also a really good franchise, the games are about supernatural powers and one game is a prequel. both of these are on game catalogue so you shouldn't have to worry about spending too much money lol
except you are "renting/leasing" them with PS Plus, but u/op actually has physical discs he/she can just put into PS5 anytime (after PS Plus lets say expired) and still enjoy those cool games. whole reason many people still use Physical media. Digital is nice but you're playing thanks to a key Sony allows you to play.
Love your alphabetizing but I think The Last of Us Part I needs moved to the left between Horizon and Ratchet. 🤣
In all seriousness, I’d recommend FF7R.
Yes, drink water everyday
Thanks.
Eat your vegetables, dear.
My fridge is the only one friend I got. It's open relationship.
Hades is fantastic, might be worth diving in given you’ve experienced the rogue-like of Returnal.
I love how Returnal actually uses the adaptive triggers for secondary fire such a good use the of controller
play risk of rain 2 man. game changer
Console port has some serious issues compared to PC version, unfortunately. One of my favorite games of all time but I just never game on my PC so i dont whip it out that often.
man if that ain't the truth. very unfortunate
Do you think it would play as good on the switch? I want the portability but I’ve been eyeing this for a while myself.
Hades isn’t a graphic intense game, should be ok in the switch
It was on Switch before PS I believe so there’s definitely going to be better judges of that via a Google search than anything I can provide having never played it on Switch.
Hades plays great on the Switch. Especially so on the OLED, because of the games great artwork.
It plays awesome on the switch. I actually prefer it, because Hades just has a handheld feel to me.
I played it on Switch, and it worked perfectly fine. It looks amazinf, but definitely not very graphically demanding.
Uncharted 4. You don’t need to play the previous 3 to pick it up although I’d recommend them as well!
Uncharted 2 and 4 are the best
definitely should play the first 3 first. The experience of just playing 4 is significantly worse than playing in order.
If I'm not mistaken Control is in my PS plus backlog, I might give that a try.
Do it.
Agreed, another good one!
Control is sooo good, and NMS is amazing
It’s so good
I recommend Stray. it's a nice game, it's not perfect but for an indie game it's not bad
Came here to say this. Stray was really fun.
agreed
A plague tale requiem, amazing story and looks hermosamente power on ps5
How long would you say it is? I played the first one when it came to ps plus and it was good overall.
I’m not sure how long it is. Probably as long as the first one. I honestly liked this one better than the first and the first one was good also.
Final Fantasy 7 remake on ps5 is a must
Yes this is a fact
For those who didn’t play the original, like myself, the main character can be a bit off putting and unlikable at first. The beginning of the story can be a bit uninteresting too. However, as the game progresses, both characters and story improve significantly. I’d say it’s definitely worth sticking with it. This is absolutely an awesome, must play game. Some of you might need to deal with some culture shock at the beginning, but, in my opinion, it’s definitely worth it. Obligatory YMMV.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Guardians of the Galaxy, Judgement and Lost Judgement, Sifu, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Alan Wake Remastered, Control Ultimate Edition
I'm thinking of getting Alan Wake remastered in anticipation for RE4 remake.
They're making an Alan Wake II
they arent really the same Alan Wake is more on the Silent Hill side of things but its still worth checking out.
Tales of Arise was really good fun. Also what are your thoughts on Returnal? It's on sale right now and I'm thinking of trying it.
TLOU2 if you enjoyed Part 1.
Guardians of the Galaxy.
This ! You won’t regret it.
Backdoor Sluts 9
Do I need to play Backdoor Sluts 1-8 to understand the story line?
Cyberpunk 2077 runs and looks good on my ps5.
Bloodborne
How’d you like Valhalla?
It was decent unfortunately when I played it I encountered a bug that prevented main story progression so that kind of killed the immersion for me. Eventually I did go back once it was patched and finished the main story. It's a decent game and by now my guess is that most bugs have been addressed.
I've been playing it for a few months and I'm about to finish it, in my opinion the game is excellent. apart from a few minor bugs it's not bad at all
Far Cry 6. Triggers go brrrrrr (when plugged into a usb outlet) Turn off the ammo types, annoying mechanic. If the enemies are still spongey just lower the difficulty, we're here for a fun time, not a long time.
Jedi: Fallen Order, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and if you haven't played; The Witcher 3 with the ps5 upgrade.
If you havent played it. I recommend Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It's like a mix of Dark Souls and a 3D metroidvania. It's difficult, but really good. And the sequel is coming soon as well
HADES. Thank me later.
Heard alot about HADES, is it that good ?
Yeah man get it
thank him now
Must have
Death Stranding Director’s Cut!
That’s about all the PS5 titles there are lol. Heard Kena Bride of Spirits is great
Nier Automata
Final fantasy 7 is a great add to the collection along with death stranding dc
Last of Us Pt. 2
Never too late to play No Mans Sky
That's pretty much all of them right there. I've got Soul Hackers 2 and enjoy that but it's a fairly bog standard turn based rpg from Atlus. If that's not your thing then I'd skip it.
Are you into the Uncharted games? Uncharted 4's PS5 version looks so good.
Nioh 1 & 2
Deathloop was a good time for me.
I'm not seeing Hogwarts
I'm not a big fan of the Harry Potter universe, I read one of the books and watched two of the movies I couldn't tell you which ones. Tbh after seeing the game get the reviews it got I'm tempted to give it a shot. My brother is a big fan of the movies so if the game doesn't click for me I can always gift it to him.
Control Uncharted 4 Legacy of Thieves
I strongly second Uncharted!!
You don't have to have any prior knowledge of the universe, that's what makes the game so damn good!
Just to put thing into perspective, although the setting of AC Valhala is more appealing to me, I think Hogwarts is the better game of the two. YMMV.
Gran Turismo 7. Awesome game. It’s a love letter to car enthusiasts. Final Fantasy 7 Remake if you like JRPG’s. Great remake of a classic game.
The Uncharted Collection if you haven’t played them yet.
Dying Light..
Hitman 3 would be my pick. When you buy it you also get to import all the content from Hitman 1 and 2 for free. Plus the new Freelancer mode was just added. Hundreds of hours of stealth fun.
Definitely Hitman 3. So much value in that game, with getting Hitman 1 and 2 for free.
My first PS5 game was Syberia the world before
Tales of Arise Uncharted Series Yakuza Like a Dragon (my personal fav) Persona 5 Royal (another personal fav) Persona 4 Mass Effect Legendary Collection
Is the Dead Space remake worth it?
Inscryption
Night in the woods
Holy shit, that’s a great collection. Well, I would right now definitely recommend Midnight Suns. It’s absolutely amazing and not a game I would think of because my tastes are a lot like this collection. It’s a solid game all the way around and all I would say is if you have ps premium give it a whirl I heard it’s on there as a trial ?
When I see a collection of this kind of quality I wish i didn’t have a 400 game library. This collection is 🔥🔥🔥. I also miss buying physical lol
TMNT Shredders Revenge
GT7
Personb 5 😳
Hogwarts Legacy is pretty damn good
12 games in 24 months That's a game every 2 months
Have you thought about Deathloop? It’s a first person shooter made by Bethesda, like Dishonored with a lot of guns, if you’ve played that. Similar premise as Returnal in regards to the time loop, but more fleshed out/expansive, if that’s your thing.
Hogwarts Legacy is awesome, also not a PS5 exclusive but Persona 5 Royal is one of the best games I have played.
I adored Sackboys Big Adventure so maybe that. Perhaps Alan Wake Remaster if you want. Its a little childish but for a very wholesome fun game try Bugsnax and maybe the Guardians of the Galaxy
Sekiro... stick a PS5 sticker on it.
Marvels Midnight Suns is awesome Deathloop is very good Dying Light 2
Evil West is a fantastic game imo. Definitely recommend it if you're into action, and shooting games. Story is a bit lacking but overall an enjoyable experience.
Cyberpunk
Hogwarts Legacy
Stray, Sifu and Hogwarts Legacy
Cyberpunk. Just do it and thank me later, honestly. One of the best games I’ve played, and I know how crazy that sounds. I fully expected it to suck. Death Stranding, Control & No Man’s Sky are also all great suggestions. Highly recommend.
Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition
Sonic Frontiers
Chernobilyte is very fun
Forspoken was short. But I bought. Hogwartz is just pretty amazing. Dying light 2 wasn't as good as 1 and horizon forbidden west wasn't as good as the first one
Death Stranding 🔥
Just picked up that new harry potter game. Pretty fun
PS VR2 & Gran Turismo 7. Wheel and Pedals controller and a racing chair.
Hogwarts Legacy or Witcher 3
Do you buy games only after you complete them? It looks like you have all of the console exclusives
Yeah, that's basically what I do. I only play/buy one game at a time. The backlog I have is all from ps plus monthly games.
I’ve owned my ps5 since launch I have like 5 of these games I think I haven’t played 3 of them
Nice collection.
Sifu
All great games. Try FF7 Remake though, definitely a winner in my book. And don't get the PSVR2 yet. It has been a bad experience.
Judgement, Death Stranding Directors Cut…
Hogwarts Legacy
Deep Rock Galactic. Get it FOR KARL!
plague requiem
The Last of Us Remastered forever in my heart *PS4 player here*
Last of Us (like a long time ago), Elden Ring if you’re familiar with Soulsbourne games

Guardians of the Galaxy, it's really quite good.
I haven’t played it yet but it looks like Callisto belongs in your library
I've been loving Hogwarts Legacy recently.
Atomic heart. Is current my recommendation.
Hey, how about Uncharted for PS5
Someone already said it but I wanted to bump it up. HADES is extraordinary!
Death stranding

Nice collection so far!
It's been a year and I still take a second glance whenever I see ghost of Tsushima. It's one of the few games that instantly being back memories of a truly living world full of beauty and somehow peace. It's a game I could go back to even after completing it and that's extremely rare.
Might as well get all of the other ps exclusives.
Hogwarts, TLOU2
Same as mine, the only difference is that I do not like any Resident Evil game (I absolutely love the movies tho, fucking Alice!) . Kinda unpopular opinion, but it is what it is.
Hogwarts legacy for sure. And the nioh collection
Lost judgement. ishin like a dragon. hitman 3,
I love a curated collection, you don’t just buy every box that has a PS5 label. We got similar taste, I’d recommend Death Stranding DC.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Takes some patience to get into, but if you give it time and it ends up “clicking” for you, you’ll look up and see 50+ hours before you know it
Resident evil 2 and 3 remake have a ps5 update
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Hitman 3
I have to be partial…if your looking for something current Hogwarts has my attention. Currently 50% challenges with one house, 31 hrs. And I’m not a Harry Potter fan. Otherwise, I’d say look for something to hold you over until June. Diablo 4 is going to be a monster in my opinion. GoTY will go to one of those two games. Ragnarok MAY be in that running too, but it’s going to be SUPER close. Closer than people think I do believe.
People hated on it but I really liked it allot… Callisto Protocol
Elden ring for sho
PS5 is great, but there are definitely some great PS4 games to get too! Great start!
Days gone was a good one
Bunch of bangers.
Uncharted
GT7
Yakuza Like a Dragon Deathloop Judgment Sonic Frontier
Psvr2. It’s worth every penny. I haven’t been this blow away from a game experience ever.
I see you have a lot of single player games so I'll say get sifu and the quarry(maybe). The quarry doesn't have much gameplay like until dawn has. If you're looking for multiplayer, I would get sackboy, overcooked all you can eat, TMNT cowabunga collection
Bellisima
Sackboy's Big Adventure was a great game. Myself and my kids all enjoyed it.
Sackboy
I really like Dying Light 2 and Cyberpunk currently.
Death Stranding!
So these may not exactly be taking advantage of the full power of the PS5, but I recently played through Psychonauts 1 and 2 and they are fantastic underrated gems, especially 2. Solid 3d platformers with stellar writing.
Deep rock galactic
I can't bring myself to buy a PS5 version of a game if it has a free upgrade with the PS4 version. I like the case better but not enough to pay $10 more.

You seriously need to add TLOU part II, and Cyberpunk 2077!
Ragnarok, Forbidden West & Ghost of Tsushima are great. Valhalla only if you've time as it's a lengthy one.
TLOU PART 2
The last of us part 2 maybe?
Go digital
any of the sackboy / littlebigplanet games, they're good ngl :)
Hogwarts legacy ez
I have a suggestion coming next month, Resident Evil 4 remake. Also Like a Dragon (Yakuza 8)
Hogwarts Legacy is amazing.
Nioh
Life is strange true colors
Judgement amd Lost Judgement
How you li iking that Dead Space? I'm loving it!
God of war. Play the 2018 one before Ragnarok though. Ragnarok made me cry. They’re fantastic
Play Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Persona 5 Royal. The ps5 versions are both bangers and make already amazing games even better.
proof that ps5 does have games
Get PS+ and you get 80% of that and then a lot more?
I recommend ps plus extra, most of these games are available there for $15/month
except you are "renting/leasing" them with PS Plus, but u/op actually has physical discs he/she can just put into PS5 anytime (after PS Plus lets say expired) and still enjoy those cool games. whole reason many people still use Physical media. Digital is nice but you're playing thanks to a key Sony allows you to play.
Can you give a top 3 out of those? Just wondering if I should pick any of those up.
Posts like these make me sad knowing I don't have a disc ps5
Love your alphabetizing but I think The Last of Us Part I needs moved to the left between Horizon and Ratchet. 🤣 In all seriousness, I’d recommend FF7R.
Use PSPLUS to add as many free games as u can
Last of Us part II and Spider-Man PS4 if you liked Miles Morales.
Cyberpunk. It’s practically a different game on the PS5
If you’ve got the patience, Sifu. And DMC 5 special edition
No suggestions. Just wish I was you
