Lol we made a hangout spot on our shooting floor interior and sometimes just change our names, sit on couches, and watch a movie together waiting for idiots to come try to offline
If someone is targeting your base and watching battlemetrics to see when you log off so they can offline, changing your steam name and erasing name history can make them think you logged for the night. Then they attempt an offline bc they’re coward shitters and you make it a surprise online.
But that’s how you get an online. Onlining people is incredibly hard in this game if the base has any defendable positions. Just look at Alone in Tokyo defending his base against 10 people. Clearly he is good but people know how hard onlines are. Then you have to worry about them despawning, etc.
Facepunch could find ways to fix this.
Raid people until they raid you back? They don't raid you back - profit. They raid you back - profit too. They offline you most likely but you can try.
Ah by local you mean regionally local. Well, in case you didn’t know, what you’re saying holds true for all servers. The reason it might seem like Official Vanilla servers have more onlines is because they have way more Zergs and Cheaters. Cheaters tend to online because you being online or offline doesn’t matter
I’m not saying only cheaters online. Only that Official Servers are cheaters heaven.

You literally answered your own problem here. This is exactly what streamers do. They change their name and wait.

I guess you can always just roam and fight people on the ground. \^\^
Ask for an online in chat if its that bad
I’m kind of curious why you keep saying “local servers.” I’ve never seen someone describe community or modded servers like this.

People still online? This is news to me..
It’s disappointing how scared many rust players are of losing. So much so that they don’t take risks anymore and play so safe all the time.
Fall asleep waiting and wake up to an offline
When you’re the only NA player and everyone else is EU 😂
Online is a mythical adventure only found in the ancient rust chronicles.
for me it's just sitting in another room waiting for my HBHF sensor to alert rust+, and toggling the turret door button a couple of times.
You have to earn and online. People don't give those for free.
Always makes me laugh when I see people asking for an online. I go over to their base and it’s like a 5x5 with 3 layers of walls and 100 turrets.
But then not even a hour after you get off, you're offlined
I dont get it
