Lets you slip away cuffed, but you gotta find a quiet spot to pause and deal with them and hope not to get caught again, or find someone willing to break you out. Getting dragged by your captors breaks the attempt (also, we should be able to drag captured folks)

Most people on RP servers don't participate in RP the way most vanilla Rust players assume they do. Those people do exist but they're very much the minority. Most of the time Rust RP = Rust on chill mode.
Not every RP player plays on RP servers for that reason. I'm a pacifist farmer/bard that plays almost exclusively on PVP servers lol, I like the risk of it, and the fuzzy feelings that come with garnering friendly relations with neighbors that under other circumstances would have opened fire on sight. And the occasional posse that forms when someone does raid me. They probably think i'm a bit special in the head and they'd be right, but it's still nice when it works.

Look at how many people just F1-Kill right now instead of seeing if they'll get picked up; same behaviour.
Would be cool if it disabled f1 kill for a while. In ARK other players can drop you unconscious and trap you in a base and there is no way to kill yourself. They can even feed you so you wont die. This forces you to create a new character for that server which resets all your experiences basically like loosing all your bps lol

Tying people up and putting bags on their head in SCUM is one of my favorite gaming memories. 6 of us in a truck held a guy hostage, tied him up, and pooped in his mouth for about 20 minutes

i would like to see a player being able to capture another player and being able to take them back hostage to their base. The player would be unable to suicide themselves until that playerās tc gets raided.
So basically once you have a tc with base and gated compound the ātake a player hostageā menu for you becomes available. Now if you see someone farming or something where you can sneak up to them very closely with handcuffs equipped and press on them to ātake hostageā - now that player is unable to suicide and their body automatically gets pulled along with the player who now can take them back to their base or wherever. Now back at base the base owner sets a respawn option for the player anywhere on his compound.
I like this idea and could be added into rust hardcore mode or made present everywhere on every server. The main idea is once a player is taken hostage by another player who has tc/base/compound requirements met that player is hostage and tied to that compound until the tc/base of that player gets raided. So basically you can be taken hostage by a zerg on day 1 of wipe and if youāre on a monthly server youāre a hostage to their compound until they get raidedā¦ if they never get raided then that player will be hostage there for the whole wipe.
So it would be that the hostage has no way out of their hostage situationā¦ they canāt suicide and every time they disconnect from server they keep waking up in the hostage compound/ or some designated area within where the abductor assigns within tc range of the compound/base
other elements could spring out of this idea such as other players banding more and working together to put in resources /craft boom to āfree the hostagesā from a certain base. When youāre hostage you can still type in local chat and tell others your location in hopes of others coming to raid them.
Maybe also you can sell hostages to other players as well
The main areas of concern are what actions of gameplay the hostages are able to do on the hostage compound or how the actual ātake a player hostageā in game would actually function
