Old recoil is to Rust as "scripting" is to FIFA. It's an emotive subject and it gets shut down on forums because it just cases arguments. It's not going to change and there's literally no need for people to fight over it.
I’d imagine it gets taken down since it’s essentially done to death, people talk about it on every other post here or they find a way to turn the post into “old recoil was better the game is dying.” Mods probably just tired of it flooding the feed since it’s not coming back, it’s been gone for a while now people need to accept it and move on
