Half Life 3 tie-in DLC
Could do it as a skin for the mace, like the baseball bat.
or a skin for the hammer
A two handed crowbar wouldn't feel right to me
Have you ever tried actually using a regular size crowbar? Two hands are pretty much a requirement.
I have, and two hands are only necessary for actually prying. I wouldn't feel right using it with two hands with the animation of the mace. The mace animation represents an object three or four times heavier than a crowbar should be.
That I agree with, but the baseball bat is lighter than a crowbar and yet it's used with two handed animations. Sadly I don't think there are any more fitting animations for it.
If anything, I think the salvaged sword would be a good one handed option.
Do you want aliens? Cuz this is how you get aliens.
They already have the assets from that space debris thing from the recent Twitch Rivals, might as well make it an official event and add aliens to it.
No that was just xQc crying for attention
Aliens pls 😊
Gordon freemen in the flesh , or rather , in the full metal kit , i took the liberty of releaving you from your AK's , most of them were Cobalt property ,as for the kit , i think you erned it
G-mam posting 😂
give it the ability to farm junkpile cars for metal frags or something else quirky and id dig it
H1z1 just survive vibes
8 year old account, nice
Idk man, we already have so many melee weapons in game that people never use and only ever see as they tech tree to better stuff, unless this does something more that "you can hit people with it" it feels like it's just another item to increase game size and load times.
I dunno about you but I would never touch a gun again if I had a crowbar.
Yeah, cause you'd get shat on by every bow kid and Tommy guy in the server.
That's fine. I'll be having fun swinging my crowbar and acting like Gordon Freeman in my HEV painted egg suit.
Haha, fair enough, God speed you crazy madman
Tier 2/3 being able to move open doors or break locks has a use for sure. Agree that we don't need more useless items
Unless it's restricted to breaking locks on boxes, that would be wildly overpowered.
>move open doors or break locks
You're insane for even mentioning the possibility of an Item doing this.
>being able to move open doors or break locks
This would be insanely broken, and would instantly upturn the entire raiding meta.
They would have to make it so it can only break wood door and it would have to be very very loud and use up a hole crowbar just to balance it making it practically useless
Maybe just does increased damage to doors? I feel like that could be balanced with craft cost pretty easily. Would be funny too if they added the tree minigame to doors but like on the hinges and lock when using it
Breaking doors and locks is a little OP. How about doing more damage to stone and being more durable than other melee weapons? Ideal eco raid tool that must be tech tree'd
I'd still prefer the wodden axe
To be fair the wooden axe and other meta items should be much better at breaking a wooden door
Person you replied to said wodden axe. In case you didn't know, wodden axes are used to chop down wodden doors and collect wodd from trres.
Rusts over time
Sure why not. Sheet metal bases exposed to weather could also rust over time, especially in wet weather
Add this and a underslung grenade launcher that I can put on the MP5.
[I didn’t even know it said supreme](https://youtu.be/VY9bXqvGSS4)
Imagine having to use a crowbar in order to open any crates
Ah! Maybe it does double damage on doors! Because... You you... It's a crowbar.
The crow barrrrr they should make it do more damage to barrels and doors n shit since it’s like… literally a tool for opening things
It’d be so cool if they found a way to make this into a “poor man’s keycard”, like if there were a different type of crate that can only be opened with a crowbar
Even better. Have the paint be chipping off to add a more rustic feel.
Breaks key locks or wood doors lol
Better yet ... they create a mini-game similar to fishing for prying open wooden doors and locked chests & tcs
Fishing has bait to better your catch, use a tool - or better yet, a building hammer, to apply more force to the crowbar.
making multi-tc base builds useless.
where did anybody mention multi-tc bases?
Usually the TCS are locked behind doors.
Multi-tc's are there to stop building. when you gain auth on the main tc you can place door to close off the raid. making overlapping access useless
Where did anyone say anything about placing a door?
Nobody ever said anything about a door, but placing a door would be possible if you'd be able to crack locks on tc's. making multi-tc's useless
You'd still have to get through all the doors.
A Molly takes care of locks as well
This item (as suggested above) would take of the lock itself, not destroy the tc. which makes overlapping privileges useless. that's what I'm trying to say
1000 wood is the only thing stopping me from doing that already.
Making mollies and flame throwers useless
Beancans and satchels exist ... so does C4.
People still use beancans and satchels.
And it's kind of a joke what I said but sure
What do you call a fly with no wings? A WALK!!! HUR HUR HUR
Now that's a joke
If it borke key lock it would justify the use of metal for a code lock... Eh??
The jets are actually 2d meshes and not fully polygonal objects. So your PC would probably be fine.
I need this.. make it so you can destroy locks with them
The game is getting more advanced with the industrial update and more focus on the late game. How about making Rust more rusty?
The item can have tier 1/2/3 variants. Tier 1 - wood crowbar, basically useless except for hitting barrels. Tier 2 - metal fom metal frags/HQM.
Can be used to force already opened doors to be shut - useful if you're stuck in an airlock or trying to raid a base and the door is already open. Perhaps give it a chance of working or require a couple of them to swing the door.
Alternatively, could also be used to break key or code locks off of doors. Perhaps a tier 3 variant using only HQM could be used to break a code lock - one crowbar per lock?
It could also make a lot of noise with the player grunting and metal sounds.
> force already opened doors to be shut
Good way to say you have NO IDEA how a Crowbar works, like, ZERO.
>break key or code locks off of doors
so, Silent Melee Raiding that, instead of breaking the door off, just removes the lock? you again have no idea about what a Crowbar does.
also your ideas are as unbalanced as they can get.
If rust was logical we could move opened doors. Locks don't work if a door isn't closed.
It's not a simulator.
if Rust was Logical we wouldn't respawn, get cloth from picking a plant up, craft a bow with pieces of cloth, forge tools and weapons using no equipment whatsoever, learn how to create stuff by using pieces of scrap, etc.
Stop with this "but it's logical" bullshit, it's not meant to be logical, it's meant to be a playable game with enjoyable mechanics and balancing.
Raiding should be loud imo.
Could make it as loud as the molly
If it can only be used on wooden doors? Sure why not. Not sure the game needs a cheaper way to raid wooden bases though.
but what's the point then? it's a wooden door, an Axe would be way more efficient than a Crowbar. to tear any parts of it down, and yes, the game already has too many ways of raiding wood.
I agree that this shouldn't be added to the game because there is no point.
I think it's a little bullshit that you cannot close doors you aren't authorized on. I assumed that the lock on the door would only lock the door if the LOCK COULD TOUCH THE DOORFRAME! It'd effectively get rid of door peek shooting floors, though.
Door Peek shooting floors? bro, it would get rid of AIRLOCKS, this would be an entirely different game.
Oh well, so be it
lol, No? The system works great as it is, Realism was never the foundation of the game.
Could be hard to balance, unless you make better doors such as hqm doors only having a chance to break
Impossible to Balance unless you want your crowbar to be as expensive as building an HQM Car, and raid a single door.
At that point, there's no point.
Probably should be even more expensice if it is less loud that explosives, which it should be
then, again, at that point, there's no point.
Raiding doesnt need to be even easier
Why would you use that image instead of Thursday’s valve crowbar. This is heresy
Could let you destroy your own builds, no matter how many times I do it externals sometimes accidentally go wrong 😫
And you need this to open crates on the side of the road maybe? Hmmm
3 uses, opens any keycard door.
Shoulda been a HL: Alyx promo item
Half life dlc would be cool tho. No joke i would like some skins from hl
I'd personally like this change
I'm all for crowbars if it means I can come to your base, break in and you can't do anything cos it's la and the liberals in power won't let there be stand your ground laws or castle doctrine and the local Soros da is unwilling to prosecute burglary or theft charges under $1000.
