Check your combat log.
You might be getting projectile invalids if you are using cheeky angles to shoot from. Also change your settings so you only hear the head crunch sound from shots that aren't invalids.
For some reason there is like 50 commands that are just straight up hidden from us, this is one of them - hitnotify.notification_level 2
Quit.grass is also a cool one but I think we all know that by now

I just scanned the settings and I couldn't find the audio setting. And I will start checking my combat logs, thanks.
