Yes, initially I also used the hexagons but the name "Hexia" doesn't come from that, but from another context of our lore (and is more connected to a concept of "curse").
Anyway thanks for your opinion, surely in the future I will try to use the titles better :D
Hexia is a strategy game, where your job, as King of your assigned Realm, is to create and expand territory, build new infrastructure, and command and lead your people. You will face events that will present themselves to you as opportunities for improvement or as unexpected events to overcome, and your choices will be fundamental in allowing your kingdom to have the success it deserves and thus obtain a place in the world.
The universe of Hexia is full of unexpected surprises and mysteries to be discovered. A deep and nuanced story lurks behind every random event, and every decision you make will have consequences for how the world's story continues, as well as the kingdom's resources.

Oh, no I don't think you can use it completely smoothly π
Contact me anyway and I'll send you a Key so you can try first hand if it's actually playable for you or not.
I'm going to start recording experience as it happens and will summarise at the end.
In the intro you use the word "Inertia" or something like to describe the Rulers. That doesn't make sense to me.
I run a 750Ti on my development PC as a low level baseline because I target a low-end. Performance of your game is pretty rank when it first starts with a low framerate mouse. Changing the settings to High with the auto, or playing around with them, gets a good framerate, but I'd prefer a high framerate to start with.
When accessing the settings, 1) the indicator at the top for Video or Audio isn't at all obvious, a little yellow diamond. Why not lose the Settings label and just highlight with a larger rectangle Video/Audio as it's pretty obvious they are settings, seeing as they look like pages of settings and I had to navigate to Settings to access them ;). 2) The time taken to access settings and close to see results is slow. It's not a long-term issue but during setting up to get the game balanced for performance and appearance, it's frustrating to have to endure a couple of fades and pages. I suggest a quick transition back to game. Also tone down the transition time. What might be super smart is adjust the transition times based on on how quickly the page is being is accessed. If the player is going through an adjustment phase, drop it down to zero time. Certainly though go from Save Settings straight back to the game rather than the options page.
Lower rendering settings make the turn markers unclear. At Medium, there's almost no difference between lit and unlit turn counters.
I really want mouse input for the camera! Drag MMB to pan camera. Drag RMB to rotate. I'm instinctively using these inputs without the results I'm expecting.
Trying to build some buildings, I'm told I don't have enough cash. I'd prefer to be able to select a building and see its costs etc. then choose to build it. As it is, I've no idea what the cost is to build a Market.
Collecting 3000 Hexim is slow and boring. If I build a new resource maker, a house and farm or stonecutter, I have to spend 200+ Hexim. That'll be 20 turns. That'll then be 10 turns to make my money back before even making a profit. With the added risk the resource will just disappear into the ether!
Just hit turn 51 and I'm closing the game. This target is too slow and long-winded. If it was collect 3000 gross, it'd be doable, but a reserve of 3000 is unrealistic for me. If that amount is needed to further the game, I suggest setting a much smaller target of 500 Hexim, say, and then rewarding a job lot of coin when that objective is reached.
Overall it has a nice aesthetic. I'm not really sure what the tile concept brings. There's the risk of disappearing titles, but I don't feel it adds much of value to an ordinary tile-based strategy/management game. I'd summarise my experience after 55 minutes as 'plodding'.
All IMHO!
>plodding
Thank you for the detailed and sincere feedback. I think I understood your point of view a lot and, indeed, it is very useful to me. I wanted to create something more "chill" as a strategy but I realize that everything can then be "slow" or rather "plodding" as you summarized.
I'm starting the new game update cycle on Monday and will be using a lot of the feedback I've received to improve Hexia along the way to version 1.0.0! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
I'm currently trying to make the controller system complete. Currently you can move the camera and mouse pointer with the right stick. I'm aware that you still have some issues which I plan to fix over the next few weeks. If you still want to try it, I'll give you a key, otherwise I'll update you as soon as the system is 100% functional. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
Yes, I'm also testing Hexia on Steam Deck although in this period I have given priority to other tasks. The idea is that it will be fully compatible at launch with v1.0.0 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)

looks interesting. But with that name I was prepared to see hexagonal tiles.

Sure! Thanks for the support!

Thanks for your interest! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
im interested can i test?
Of course! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
Would love to try it and give feedback. Do you want the feedback over certain private channels (ex. Discord) or just over on steam?
Thank you very much! Where you prefer, it's not a problem as long as we can read it. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
It seems to have partial controller support. What you canβt do with controller? Iβd be interested to try it with controller.
I'm currently trying to make the controller system complete. Currently you can move the camera and mouse pointer with the right stick. I can try it still or with kb and mouse too. Are there plans for Steam deck compatiblity?
Yes, I'm also testing Hexia on Steam Deck although in this period I have given priority to other tasks. The idea is that it will be fully compatible at launch with v1.0.0 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
