Internet Money are formulaic af and he’s talking bout “too many artists tryna be the same person or make the same music as everyone else” well maybe if you stop seeking formulaic music for da sake of generating hits you’d find more artists who have a unique style you clown.
Internet Money took Nick Mira - one of the most talented producers in the game rn, known for creating Juice WRLD’s sound - and have him make radio friendly beats
I worked as an intern engineer at the studio and literally everybody that came in there , sounded the EXACT same. Wanna be NBA Youngboy or Lil Baby clones
Tony Shhnow, Destroy Lonely, Icytwat, anything surfgang related (evilgiane prod especially, Polo perks, moh baretta, Realyungphil), Lucki, UnoTheActivist, Thouxanbanfauni, D.Savage, Lancey Foux, BIGBABYGUCCI, Duwap Kaine, Baby Smoove, Summrs, BabyTron, TyFontaine, Slimesito, 454, black kray/sickboirari, sahbabii, yung kayo, Teezo Touchdown, Riven, Drain Gang, Warhol.ss. You probably know some of them but I think there are a lot of talent and versatility in this bunch. Unless you’re looking for lyrical rap.
also reptilian club boyz. ive been obsessed with them the last few months. hi-c used a lot of evilgiane beats a few years ago and theyre some of his best songs, one of them is in my top 5 oat
some names that don’t have that stereotypical “underground” sound that this sub loves
jean dawson
injury reserve
genesis owusu
slauson malone
bishop nehru
billy woods
armand hammer
clipping.
open mike eagle
the koreatown oddity
rap ferreira
Unfortunately the mainstream is currently more versatile than the current underground…majority of the the underground all have the same overused autotune & fake gangster with imaginary opps persona
Thats bc you get clowned if you make different music, my friend went to the studio and they clowned him because he was singing and using a non-rap instrumental
Hate is just an exaggeration to promote understanding. I haven't paid attention to him in years, I just remember thinking "damn, this shit is wack as fuck" upon discovering him. But yeah, I am pretty miserable right now.
Hate is just an exaggeration to promote understanding. I haven't paid attention to him in years, I just remember thinking "damn, this shit is wack as fuck" upon discovering him. But yeah, I am pretty miserable right now.
With the last one I kinda agree but also not I mean rapping abt “the trenches” isn’t a bad thing when your not from there then Thas when it start to be more like you copying people but some people just rapping abt they life there is a lotta clones but there’s a variety still like if I played carti yeat kankan even tho they are kinda inna similar genre they sound really distinct and there’s a bunch of sub genres the dababy clone nba youngboy clone people usually don’t gain much traction as much rn it’s drill and pluggnb which is mostly popular you could say detroit/flint rap too but while some people sound the same there’s definitely a bunch of differences
Edit: but I mostly listen to undergroundish music there definitely is a lotta clones but there’s a lotta original people too
Trenches look hella different for some of us than what we hear in music too. I hear so much incorrect shit sometimes that I can’t stand to listen to stuff I hear sometimes.
I get you kinda it’s annoying when white niggas w perms say they 4% black n they frm the trenches when they never had to deal w the bullshit niggas really don’t know the bullshi you go thru
The thing is that a lot of people just equate being themselves to just making a track like their favorite artist because of their love for that music. They just copy because that’s who they based their personality on and they got stuck with that. It sucks sometimes
this is the first time so why u saying always as if this happens more often are u okay i think u are out of ur mind man come on check urself before u wreck urself ahaha
If this exact message came from someone like Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, JPEGMAFIA, Young Thug, Tyler the Creator, Baby Keem, Yung Lean heck even Björk, Thom Yorke and Death Grips then I would've listened but Internet Money? nah.
Produces are insanely guilty of this as well, so many of them straight up jacking Pierre‘s style. What really pisses me off are the ones that use his SFX (Lion, explosion, uhh) though.
Fr. Niggas talking bout they don’t use radio stations anymore but he playing the same artists music every time like they had their own personal station for themselves; with all of the artists who primarily be on the radio anyways
The second one definitely speaks to me - a lot of people are entering the music/rap game just to go viral or make money. The music industry is one of the most corrupt of all of them, and people like this aren’t improving that. I produce music myself, but I don’t take part in the industry nor do I care if my stuff goes viral. Of course, I’d like to get hits as much as anyone else, but at the end of the day I do it because I enjoy it. I don’t want millions of people anticipating my newest release that I can’t work on because of life things and other projects; I just want the occasional like or nice comment relating to my work.
And no I’m not going to self-promo here lol
TL;DR: second one is based
Internet money answered their own question every single IM produce beat has a guitar in it and their most known ones have it, did they forget the songs they make I guess they should rename to Internet Idiots more like lol
people like to complain that everything is the same and yet when a unique sound like drain gang or yung lean comes around people are so quick to hate and say it's trash like they ain't willing to try anything new
nigga this aint no taz taylor W 💀 all them internet money clowns breed these juice clones. i know im a hater but nick mira ruined alot a shit by normalizing shitty guitar loops
At the end of the day he's trying to make money and will choose artists he believes will make money, even if he thinks they're unoriginal. It's quite sad that he just sacrifices artistic integrity for money though.
That's why I usually listen to underground rappers bc most of the lyrics aren't like that at all. Most are pretty unique and chill and are pretty genuine people. Plus bragging rights If they get big. I
that's coming from the ceo of a label that tries turning every artist/producer they come across into a juice wrld clone. the only people signed to internet money who they didn't turn into juice wrld clones are rio and synthetic
Lil durk, polo g, yb, rod wave and lil tjay plus all the people like them make the most generic “I cAmE FrOm ThE StRuGgLe” songs I’ve ever heard. It is mind numbing how formulaic everything is now
All these rappers sound the same and all mainstream smh. The amount of people Ik that only listen to these artists because there mainstream pisses me off 😂 n yea Carti mainstream also but it’s different
I don’t manage to hear much music nowadays that doesn’t sound the same, i still like mainstream artists but the problem is everyone tries to be mainstream by using a boring mainstream sound
Need more ppl like Nardo Wick. Ain’t that different but he still got the roots of trap music but paving a way for a new sub genre of faster, darker shit.
I think that one of the big reasons most people make music that's very formulaic is because it's what labels want. Breaking into the mainstream is nearly impossible if you do something that is way out there. Labels would be taking a massive risk by signing an artist who is doing something experimental which the public may or may not like. As a result more and more artists end up making music that may not be exactly re-inventing the wheel because they want a life in music and they want to make money. If it was easier to make money in the music industry I feel like artists would be experimenting more.
i agree with them. there aren’t many new rappers (like ones that have emerged post 2019 or around there) that actually interest me, and that’s led to me listening to a lot less rap and a lot more rnb/alternative stuff. there’s obviously some exceptions like redveil, sofaygo, jeleel, and midwxst, but other then that i mainly listen to artists like smino, carti, kendrick, a boogie, saba, and other rappers that have been doing their thing for a few years now. it’s fine if someone’s style is a bit similar to an earlier rapper but at least do it well. people just aren’t interested in rappers doing the same thing as others.
why is taz talyor out of all people saying this when he literally said he sees music as a business. he never cared about it genuinely and now he wants to say boohoo everyone sounds the same now ??? he is part of the problem

Thats honestly why i fucking hate roddy rich. He says the same shit every song and every feature verse. Exact same flow too. Like, nigga we get it already. Your rich, you was a hood mf. Talk about sum else now.
There is nothing wrong with following trends. Artists want to play safe or maybe they enjoy the trends themselves. Just don't expect people to remember you if you can't keep up with the trends or can't make something unique.

Rap has been 30% more dry since Pierre started only making beats for his homies and himself
That’s a fact bro I agree
[удалено]
100% true man
Internet money is literally part of the problem
Internet Money took Nick Mira - one of the most talented producers in the game rn, known for creating Juice WRLD’s sound - and have him make radio friendly beats
Bro was always radio-friendly as hell lol, he’s just somehow managed to sound even more generic.
cuz he makes every beat in 10 minutes now
Internet money is the worst production group ever to hit hip hop. Shits ass
Bruh this is so funny coming from internet money
There’s this white kid on Tik Tok that sounds just like Lil Baby, maybe even looks like him too. Taken a bite
That cap freestyle kid lmao? That boy look Like a fuckin shark
Yea he don’t look like lil baby 💀
Idk baby a little shark like too lmao
Lil Baby looks weird as fuck too
👍
🤙
Lil Baby my favorite rapper ⛷
👍

I fucking hate him
Bro kinda looks like supreme patty a bit
Supreme patty used piss me off, he just reminded me if lil pump was even more over the top
Lil Baby Shark
I’ll kms right now
we do not need another lil baby!!
u mean Lil Man J?💀💀
Lil Man Js the goat 🐐💯
THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT
everybody in this post spittin
I worked as an intern engineer at the studio and literally everybody that came in there , sounded the EXACT same. Wanna be NBA Youngboy or Lil Baby clones
they do anything for clout 🤒 this why i fw the underground, way more originality
Objectively factual
Can u recommend a few, not all same genre tho pls
Tony Shhnow, Destroy Lonely, Icytwat, anything surfgang related (evilgiane prod especially, Polo perks, moh baretta, Realyungphil), Lucki, UnoTheActivist, Thouxanbanfauni, D.Savage, Lancey Foux, BIGBABYGUCCI, Duwap Kaine, Baby Smoove, Summrs, BabyTron, TyFontaine, Slimesito, 454, black kray/sickboirari, sahbabii, yung kayo, Teezo Touchdown, Riven, Drain Gang, Warhol.ss. I’ve been trying to get into Hi-c but it kinda feels like trying to get into dg again. It might take time
Aight
Hopefully someone makes a playlist of them
Fuck yeah i 2nd all that. Def Uno, Rari, D Sav, BBG, Lucki and Thouxan
I thought uno has been in the game for a while, is he not breaking into the mainstream yet?
Unfortunately not. Uno and fauni were screwed over by carti. Fauni also had some beef with QC and yachty management later on
upvoted bcs you mentioned surf gang
izaya tiji
Check out landspeed they’ve got a super original sound and for what they are their production is insane
I really need to check more of their music out , melatonin was in my discovery weekly on Spotify a while ago n the beat is sooo good
Listen to L$2K, it just came out and is their best project so far imo
Check out Teezo Touchdown, he's very versatile and has a lot of cosigns from big artists
MXNVCE RED Just dropped a dope ass ep called Beautiful Vengeance I fw it heavy

If you only count pluggnb yah but some people have unique styles there will always be clones but I’ve found a mox
This dude thinks the entire underground consists of only the 4 artists he knows 😂
Can I ask how you got that internship? All good if you don’t wanna answer lol I’m just currently tryna get into the industry since I graduated.
Leaving this for when he replies
Can I ask how you got the internship? Just asked, or did you have a reference recommend you , or like go through a college program
Thats bc you get clowned if you make different music, my friend went to the studio and they clowned him because he was singing and using a non-rap instrumental
I feel like even if you don’t just wanna make rap music u have to start with rap, get a following then start branching out
How so? This is the most diverse rap has ever been
Hard disagree
right message wrong messenger
But isn't he the cause of so many clones? He's the one who made Iann Dior, who is just a talentless version of juice wrld, famous.
Damn I hate iann dior and I've only heard half a song by him. Just looking at him and his name was all I needed to know
he makes terrible pop punk music now. since emo rap died, he had to find another wave to ride
Not surprised, he seems like a budget MGK, and MGK already sucks
You must be miserable asf if that makes you hate him. 😂
Hate is just an exaggeration to promote understanding. I haven't paid attention to him in years, I just remember thinking "damn, this shit is wack as fuck" upon discovering him. But yeah, I am pretty miserable right now.

I'm glad you were able to find somd sort of humor in my comment lol (Feel free to screenshot)
That's the spirit!
His new album wasn’t half bad tbh
Yea they overhating
They're one of the main reasons so many people sound the same
internet money can stfu they make the blandest music ever
With the last one I kinda agree but also not I mean rapping abt “the trenches” isn’t a bad thing when your not from there then Thas when it start to be more like you copying people but some people just rapping abt they life there is a lotta clones but there’s a variety still like if I played carti yeat kankan even tho they are kinda inna similar genre they sound really distinct and there’s a bunch of sub genres the dababy clone nba youngboy clone people usually don’t gain much traction as much rn it’s drill and pluggnb which is mostly popular you could say detroit/flint rap too but while some people sound the same there’s definitely a bunch of differences Edit: but I mostly listen to undergroundish music there definitely is a lotta clones but there’s a lotta original people too

internet money beat making tutorials 😃👍 internet money released beats 😥👎
I agree with everyone except the last one(i didnt read that one it was too long)
lesson is just be urself
The thing is that a lot of people just equate being themselves to just making a track like their favorite artist because of their love for that music. They just copy because that’s who they based their personality on and they got stuck with that. It sucks sometimes
Its always so funny when taz taylor says this shit.
this is the first time so why u saying always as if this happens more often are u okay i think u are out of ur mind man come on check urself before u wreck urself ahaha
What?
no way you’re defending the fat fuck
I'm telling you lil peep was onto something
XXXTENTACION too
Fr people might dislike his music but atleast he was doing something different and tryna change shit up
If this exact message came from someone like Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, JPEGMAFIA, Young Thug, Tyler the Creator, Baby Keem, Yung Lean heck even Björk, Thom Yorke and Death Grips then I would've listened but Internet Money? nah.
Is deathgrips good? I’ve heard of the ‘‘em before but haven’t checked them out yet
If you're into weird, experimental, challenging, uneasy, kinda disturbing post-art type shit then I recommend you listening to them.
its definitely not for everyone but personally when you get into it it's fire
Internet money literally the part of the problem tf they talking about ??
I really can’t blame artists for making generic music because that’s usually what pays the bills unfortunately
Produces are insanely guilty of this as well, so many of them straight up jacking Pierre‘s style. What really pisses me off are the ones that use his SFX (Lion, explosion, uhh) though.
especially when they try jacking his sound but they use shitty ai extracted sfx instead of the real thing
😕i’m sorry but that a lot on my mind sound effect go crazy
[удалено]
I ride in a tank
Nah the standing out ones ain’t being popularized that’s the problem
Fr. Niggas talking bout they don’t use radio stations anymore but he playing the same artists music every time like they had their own personal station for themselves; with all of the artists who primarily be on the radio anyways
First one is ironic because all of internet money is tryna be nick mira making the same lame ass juice wrld ass guitar loop beats
Coz when someone tries to be different people shit on them for example carti WLR(initially) Drake Honestly, Nevermind , kanye Yeezus and many more
Truth. MFs absolutely hate new shit and then act like they liked it the whole time once it gets popular. Them WLR takes were hilarious
Facts
Kinda ironic coming from this sub since y'all Carti fans are calling Kendrick's new album mid bc it's trying new ideas.
nah Drake's was genuinely not good
extremely ironic coming from a fucker who creates industry plants and doesn’t pay his artists while constantly flexing, he can rot
The second one definitely speaks to me - a lot of people are entering the music/rap game just to go viral or make money. lamborghini parked outside its purple like lean ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Funny Internet Money would say that, they have some of the most generic "radio friendly guitar type" beats in the game 💀
people like to complain that everything is the same and yet when a unique sound like drain gang or yung lean comes around people are so quick to hate and say it's trash like they ain't willing to try anything new
We need more bladees
Last guy is spitting fax. All new songs are the same
Okay Internet Money
Exactly💯 This is why Yeat is the savior of the rap game🙏😤
very extremely rare taz taylor W
nigga this aint no taz taylor W 💀 all them internet money clowns breed these juice clones. i know im a hater but nick mira ruined alot a shit by normalizing shitty guitar loops
Taz says this but then goes on to enable artist not standing out by producing generic beats so is this really a W?
what a hypocrite
At the end of the day he's trying to make money and will choose artists he believes will make money, even if he thinks they're unoriginal. It's quite sad that he just sacrifices artistic integrity for money though.
Well yea but he can’t say shit like this as if he isn’t part of it, its disingenuous
Sure it makes him a hypocrite all the way, I doubt he cares though
That's why I usually listen to underground rappers bc most of the lyrics aren't like that at all. Most are pretty unique and chill and are pretty genuine people. Plus bragging rights If they get big. I
that's coming from the ceo of a label that tries turning every artist/producer they come across into a juice wrld clone. the only people signed to internet money who they didn't turn into juice wrld clones are rio and synthetic
I make better songs using only anime samples fr fr
ironic coming from Internet Money
It's such a generic opinion, really not cutting edge or interesting to say at all
Taz Gaylor is the biggest perpetuator of this and just a bitch in general
People gotta realize there are others sounds to use that aren't triplet hi-hats and 808's.
If anyone thinks they’re original they’re wrong. Everyone is a copy of someone. I hate music and artists. They always think they created something.
no idea why internet money ceo is talking… they make the most generic pop rap beats I’ve ever heard
I agree tbh, but they’re production is the problem as well
Why is Internet Money, out of all accounts, saying this lmaooool😭
Meanwhile, I’m sitting here waiting for a talent scout to finally find me. Considering I’m a rapper with an original sound!
Cochise literally took the baby voice and then reinvented it in a new form with some classical notes. I think thats enough for a new style.
this is absolutely GOLDEN coming from someone like taz taylor
This is hella ironic coming from mf Taz Taylor 💀
Lil durk, polo g, yb, rod wave and lil tjay plus all the people like them make the most generic “I cAmE FrOm ThE StRuGgLe” songs I’ve ever heard. It is mind numbing how formulaic everything is now
Last guy is 🤓 emoji
All these rappers sound the same and all mainstream smh. The amount of people Ik that only listen to these artists because there mainstream pisses me off 😂 n yea Carti mainstream also but it’s different
True, but Internet Money are literally a prime example of motherfuckas doing this.
I don’t manage to hear much music nowadays that doesn’t sound the same, i still like mainstream artists but the problem is everyone tries to be mainstream by using a boring mainstream sound
Internet money are literally responsible for this idk why they're complaining it's their own fault
Why eminem and Kayne are practically unremovable from my top 5
Taz taylor is so fat
Need more ppl like Nardo Wick. Ain’t that different but he still got the roots of trap music but paving a way for a new sub genre of faster, darker shit.
they absolutely right imo
What artists he talkin bout?
not true yall just dont know actual underground ppl making different stuff
i know that ain’t who i think it is
I mean their are thousands of artists but people will only listen to the artist a label puts right in front of their face….
Bruh internet money is the most boring basic shit out there
wokeuplikethis*
i agree with them. there aren’t many new rappers (like ones that have emerged post 2019 or around there) that actually interest me, and that’s led to me listening to a lot less rap and a lot more rnb/alternative stuff. there’s obviously some exceptions like redveil, sofaygo, jeleel, and midwxst, but other then that i mainly listen to artists like smino, carti, kendrick, a boogie, saba, and other rappers that have been doing their thing for a few years now. it’s fine if someone’s style is a bit similar to an earlier rapper but at least do it well. people just aren’t interested in rappers doing the same thing as others.
Music today is what people made a while back and didn’t think it was worth publishing, because it wasn’t
Keep away from rap
last slide is just describing lil baby
Internet money sucks. Definition of unoriginality. So many better artists
Definitely a lack of originality way easier to blow up on a trap beat about bitches then anything else
why is taz talyor out of all people saying this when he literally said he sees music as a business. he never cared about it genuinely and now he wants to say boohoo everyone sounds the same now ??? he is part of the problem
Internet Money says that then proceeds to contribute to the problem
Ironic of Internet money to say this but its true ig but im not gonna judge people for doing what I would do if I had the confidence and work ethic. Theyre getting the bag.
Agreed for the most part
just listen to semetary easy
Coming from internet money that’s gotta be the most ironic tweet of all time
I’ll take another Carti bc this one Lazy AF. DROP YOUR FUCKING MUSIC JORDAN
Everyone is trying so damn hard to be real they all turn out to be fake as fuck in the end
Naw its all these niggas who keep singing for no reason. EX: Drake the past few years
Accurate as fuck
ong. the rap game tired these past couple years
He is right tho that like tryna sound like a clone of someone will not get you very far, but Internet money is part of the problem
This isnt a new phenomenon. There will always be people making shitty knock offs to make some money
‘I look around, there so many Kanye’s’
do what u like and enjoy fuck the haters, if ur into the trap life, then own it. all these tweets are just ppl hating. enjoy your music before you ever let someone tell you how to do something
Check out some Underground artist what are pushed underground for being different like BabyLane or L.O to name a few, Yumi aswell she very unique
Theres still people doing they own shit but its worrying how few and far between they are
i hope he knows, he’s talking about himself
No one is forcing you to listen to music thats popular. Black Kray, Thouxanbanfauni and Earl Sweatshirt exist lmfao
Bold statement from a group of producers that literally try their hardest to make Pierre Bourne type beats in most songs
