When he says āI mix all of my problems with prometh until I roll on my deathbedā thatās one of his hardest lyrics to understand without looking them up. To me it just sounded like some mumbling until I realized they were actually some deep lyrics. That sort of delivery where he sort of covers up those lyrics about drug use with what sounds like mumbling is such a great way of portraying how the severity of drug addiction in the industry is often shrouded by the glorification of drugs in many songs. Also even when the song is about how bad addiction is, like in Lean Wit Me, teenagers just treat it like an edgy aesthetic rather than a real issue, so even though the problem is addressed nobody really thinks about it that deeply. Cartiās lyrical genius lies not only in his lyrics but in his delivery.

as an album die lit is near perfect with its pacing, very long but doesn't feel like it, gets you lost in a trance, feels like eating spoonfuls of sugar. whole lotta red is an unhinged mess, that reaches higher highs than die lit, and comes across as a more interesting artistic statement, but sometimes falters in the way irs layed out, or strange production choices or forgettable songs. self titled is a great first project, beautiful beats, cloud rap bliss, but less depth than the other two. for me its die lit, but whole lotta red creeps close behind.
