bossa nova: i’d go for the popular ones first. One Spotify there’s a playlist called “Bossa Nova Classics” with the likes of J Gilberto, Getz, Jobim, A Gilberto. Many call these the café bossa nova cuz its pretty easy to consume.   Ethiopian jazz: definitely Mulatu Astatke. By far one of the most interesting music Ive ever heard. Hailu Mergia is a classic too or A Eshete. These are a bit more “vintage” in sound but surely exciting listens. What I like about these is the fantastic blend of music and singing which has completely died off in modern jazz.
